Tobias led Tari to the arcade inside Century 21 Oceanside. The bright flashing lights of the games lit up Tobias's eyes. "I haven't been here for a long time," he told Tari.

"Same, last time I went was like...Freshman year", she said, looking around the room.

Loud bleeps, sirens, whistling noises, explosions, and other sounds filled the air. Tobias casually walked around the arcade, stopping to watch some people play DDR for a few moments. He continued to pace around the arcade before stopping in front of a Time Crisis II game. "Yeah, shooting games," he said with a laugh. "Let's play this," he said to Tari before putting in enough quarters for the both of them. He picked up the red gun, aimed at the screen, and placed his foot on the pedal.

She walked with him over to the game and picked up the blue gun,"Okay, don't get mad if I suck", she said, before placing her foot on the pedal and waiting for the game to start.

"I probably suck too," Tobias told Tari to reassure her. He smiled as the game began. He fired at the screen to skip the intro then began unloading bullets at CPU enemies. The gun jumped in his hands as he fired round after virtual round. Tobias quickly flicked the gun offscreen and fired to reload before continuing to gun down enemies.

Nefertari stayed in hiding for a while by pressing down on the pedal, she let go of it and began shooting at the people on the screen.

Tobias's and Tari's characters split up, leaving the two to fight their own separate waves of gun-toting villains. "You're not bad," Tobias commented. He stayed focused and shot a few more enemies.

After shooting at some more people, Tari's charater dies,"Yeah, I'm really good at this game as you can see."

Tobias laughed at Tari's comment. "Alright, what should we play next?" he asked her as he let his character die. "Anything look good to you?"

She looked around, and she saw a person crash their virtual car,"Hm, want to race?", she asked, pointing to the corner that had the game,"Or we could play DDR", she said, laughing a bit.

"Oh, please not DDR. I'm terrible at that game," Tobias said quickly waving his hands back and forth. "Let's race. I can do that," he told her, laughing.

"Okay, I'll spare you then,", she headed over to the racing game and put in quarters for both of them, she selected race and waited for Tobias to press start.

Artemis made her way to the arcade from school. She had gotten a text from Tobias and finally made her way there. Upon opening the doors she saw Tari there then Tobias. "Hey guys" She said with a light wave.

Tobias sat down in the racing game's chair and adjusted it so that he was comfortable. He placed a foot on the gas pedal and selected automatic transmission. "Let's do this!" he exclaimed happily. "3, 2, 1, GO GO GO!" the game's announcer yelled. Tobias slammed down on the gas and watched his car launch forward.
He turned for a split second to see Artemis. "Hey, how are you?" he called over his shoulder as he kept racing.

"Yo Arty", she called back not taking her eyes off the screen, she pushed down on the gas pedal and swerved, trying to take out Tobias's car.
