Derek leaned back, getting the reaction he wanted. Sort of. He looked over at Artemis, chuckling at the apparent fact she was flirting with Rhys almost as soon as she stepped into the room. Femme fetale much?
Turning back to Toshie, he said, "Pretty good. Relaxed, you know? You should probably try it, you seem a bit tense now." Derek smiled, trying to relax her after his last comment.

"Seems no one can sleep tonight," Rhys commented, also responding to Artemis. "And that's sweet of you," he added to her. You wanted to see the new mental kid? he thought suggested to her, referring to Max.

Max was spinning from all the commotion and people and needed to calm down. He stepped away from the crowd a bit closing his eyes and messaging his temple. Stay calm. He gave himself a small dose of E just to control himself.
However, he must have given himself a little too much as he didn't know what he was doing after that point. He grabbed the closest girl as gently as he could. "Hey Tari," he whispered as silently as he could all googly-eyed. "Want to know a secret?"

"Sure, why not?", she replied with a smile,"What is it?", she asked, he looked a bit weird, but then again it was sort of late. She wondered what he wanted to tell her.

Artemis smiled to Rhys with a light shug. "I know Im sweet like sugar"S he joked sitting on the arm of the couch. She looked around. And saw Max. "He s new right...I think I saw him around Im not sure"S he said hearing her thoughts. "I think I wanted to meet him?" She said biting her lip making a small face. "ou know im not sure anymore.

Max turned to her ear and continued his whispering, "I think the...hehe...the one thing I'm missing from my alphabet is 'u'" His smile grew bigger and giggling ensued. His right hand moved to her face and caressed her cheek. His left moved to the right side of her head. "Would you mind completing my alphabet?" he smoothly questioned her as he dosed her with E as well.

Something was not right. Something was off... completely off. Some people did not belong here. Two people? He recognized them before. Metal-detector face girl and Oh-look-at-me-I'm-tough girl. It made sense... he remembered their powers before. Nathan wasn't the best at locating, but the common room was the best place to check it out. He climbed out of his bed and walked down stairs to the common room, crossing his arms. Tari and Artemis. But he forgot their names. "I don't think this dorm is used as a brothel. Pretty sure prostitution in California is illegal." what a greeting.

Derek noticed the sudden change over Max. Was he really being that forward with Tari? Something started to pulsate in Derek. Was he mad? Over a girl he just met? He felt as if Max was stepping bounds, already pushing himself on her. It wasn't right.
Suddenly a flash of light exploded in Derek's hand. He gasped in shock, but soon calmed down. He fought to control it, leaving it to dissipate into sparks in his hand.[data]This should make the mind effects dissipate right?

Tari laughed as he whispered a cheesy pick up line in his ear, it was so lame it was funny. Then she started to get a bit weirded out as he caressed her cheek. Okay, this guy's getting a bit too close for comfort. Back up, freshman, she thought and was about to tell him to back off when suddenly a strange feeling of uncontrollable affection coursed through her. She began giggling and was about to jump Max's bones when giant light brought her back to her senses.
She blushed profusely,"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. What just happened?", she asked, really confused and flustered. She saw the small kid had entered the room, ugh, impeccable timing.

Toshie recoiled from the light, curling into an upright fetal position. Once she felt the light's energy dissipate, she unfurled from her defensive stature and looked at Derek confused. "What es ruong?" she asked in concern.

Rhys moved his leg as Artemis came over to sit on the arm of his chair. "Oh, him?" he said to her, motioning to Max, who was suddenly acting strangely. "Well go ahead and introdu-"
He stopped mid-sentence as a strange scene unfolded. Max had suddenly gotten all lovey dovey with Tari, who soon started acting the same way... Until a flash of light suddenly went off in Derek's hands. Another boy had also joined them, mentioning something about prostitutes and brothels.
Well, this is interesting... he thought, raising an eyebrow to the situation.

Artemis blinked seeing the light. Her hands imediatly raised with heat coarsing though her. She had heat as she large flame ignited in her hand as the air around them grew thin. She looked around...what was with tari. She raised her eye brow looing at her flame that was slowly wrapping around her arm. Her ring was in her pocket. She looked around slightly confused.

Hm? No reply? Did the girls finally learn about how to waste their breath? ...other than sucking on some guy's face, of course. Two girls were on the guys. "Dang, you guys just love being out in the open, expressing yourself, huh?" they were too friendly. Hell, one had fire crawling up her arm. Did this guy have a fire fetish? Did it add intensity to the pleasure? Maybe those ICE/HOT Trojan commercials were telling the truth after all.

Derek started to breathe heavily. What was that? How the hell did his power manifest, of all times now? He turned to Toshie, and stuttered, "I-i'm not sure... I got angry, then the light... I don't know."
His power had never manifested like that before, not without him trying. What was different about him this time? Was it Tari? Or Max? He remembered thinking something about Tari, but his mind fell short of the memory.
Looking back at Toshie, "I'm sorry, do you mind if I talk to you somewhere private? I can explain more."

Max snapped out of the state as well. What just happened... He saw Tari and their situation. Her blushing cause him to blushed as well.
Well, this is great. Max ran out of the room, ignoring any of her questions. He sorta slipped out unnoticed as best he could and retreated away from everyone without saying goodbye. He criticized himself for let his drug habits affect him. He reviewed his faults during the night in his mind, and he went to bed to let the night pass by in everyone's minds.
