She ran faster but he was able to catch her, she was spun around to face him and laughed at his comment. Did he just reference Twilight? Wow, she thought to herself, then he stopped mid sentence and made a face.
(and now I must go. Father calls)

Ethan strode into Mission Avenue feeling better than ever! He greeted multiple people with a smile. Sometimes a handshake, even to other pretty ladies (but Lyra's the only one on his mind). He double-high-fived a passing construction worker and then shook hands with an elderly man with an awesome beard.
"Well well well you, you make my dreams come true!"
Suddenly, he took of his messenger bag while some girl wearing a teal-ish dress passed by taking hold of it. Ethan twirled and then stood in place. He struck a disco pose and kept moving.
"On a night when bad dreams become a screamer When they're messin' with the dreamer"
He moved with the beat as other passerbys joined in along with him. They moved as though they were choreographed! Someone threw a bat to him and he caught it carefully. Hey battah battah SWING! And an imaginary home run was swung as the crowd went wild.
"I can laugh it in the face"
Soon there was a large group of people around him and he was picked up, by two random men, hoisting him onto their shoulders. He put his arms up in the air victoriously.

They put him down and he twisted his body about as though he were dancing in a disco.
"Twist and shout my way out And wrap yourself around me"
Another random female passerby ran around him and then joined in on the dancing. He put his arms out and did a little "wave" motion in synch with everyone else. " 'Cause I ain't the way that you found me I'll never be the same, oh yeah"
Now everyone was doing their own dance as he did a few rhythmic pelvic thrusts to the song. Suddenly, trumpets and horns could be heard close to them.
A marching band had found there way and was doing their own thing, playing the song he had been singing this entire time. They made a criss-crossed pattern and passed through each other.
Ethan made a circling movement with his arms and then bowed. He looked up only to see a small, blue animated bird fly by. Oh shit! His bag was still missing, but he doubted that the girl saw it anyway. The bird flew around his shoulder and he picked it up lightly. He cupped his other hand over the bird in a swiping motion and it shook and flew away.
It winked at you as you read this post.
Soon after, he got his bag back from the girl in the teal-ish dress and decided it'd be good for some coffee. He made a running pose that most cartoons do before running, his two arms up and his left leg up and over his right. He dashed for the coffee shop while the group behind him kept on dancing.
"Well listen to this I'm down on the daydream That sleepwalk should be over by now I know! Well you!"

Mykel sighed, trying to hold down his sparks as he walked slowly along Mission Avenue. He wasn't really feeling well after last night.

Tobias wore his super awesome combat suit. He ventured out to Mission Avenue and kept mostly to the shadows. He flitted nimbly among the small groups of shoppers. Using shadows to keep himself hidden, Tobias looked for any signs of trouble. He was itching to take down some baddies. Like a deadly panther, Tobias stalked around the shops watching, waiting.

Tobias was watching a group of clichè high schoolers hanging out near a shop entrance. His sharp eyes scanned his surroundings, making note of anything that might give him a tactical advantage over an attacker. His mask hid all traces of his handsome features, giving him a cold, intimidating visual appearance when combined with his reinforced clothes and battle gear. The voice modifier was set to turn Tobias's voice into a rumbling growl. Tobias Knight was quite the sight to behold, especially with his shadows at his side.

Tobias was ready to give up for the night, but then something caught his eye. A hooded figure dashed out of a shop while the alarm blared. A poorly done shoplifting attempt, but it was the best thing of the night.
Tobias darted out of the shadows. His heavy footfalls sounded like thunder. A few heads turned at the sound of the alarm and subsequently noticed Tobias. The scoundrel who was sprinting away from the store, glanced back and caught sight of Tobias.
TK sent a wave of solid shadow towards the fleeing subject. The hooded figure tripped and fell forward. He scrambled to get back on his feet, but TK was already at the scene. "Don't move," Tobias rasped in his modified voice. The man froze in fear and looked into the dark eyesockets of Tobias's mask. "You're finished," Tobias growled, dragging the man to his feet using both hands to grasp his collar.
At that moment, a shout from Tobias broke his concentration. Tobias, still holding the thief, turned to face the source of the yell. A uniformed security guard was pointing his taser gun at Tobias. TK pondered his situation for a moment. He supposed it would be best to leave the thief with the security guard.
"You can take it from h-" Tobias was cut short as the taser narrowly missed him and hit the thief. The security guard groaned at his failed attempt to apprehend Tobias. TK released the thief, threw up a shadow wall, and fled back into the night.

Derek stuck his hands into his pocket as he took in the night breeze. The cold didn't affect him anymore, like hell if he could feel anything. Idly strolling by the pier, watching couples pass by.
The music floated through the street, and Derek quietly mouthed along.
It's a beautiful night... We're looking for something dumb to do, Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.
Chuckling, Derek sighed inwardly. The world outside was peaceful, for all it's ignorance. Nothing was wrong, with love and smiles abound. It didn't matter that these people could die in the next moment, they were happy and that's all that mattered at the moment. Derek's mind crossed to how broken he felt, to how cynical he had become. It wasn't going to change soon, but tonight, it melted away.
He felt warm, almost happy. Enough to let a small smile cross his face.

Cold. All she felt was the cold sting of the dark night as she wandered down the street. People holding hands, each other, the lights, the music. Hana didn't' know what to do. She had already changed from the tattered clothes that she came out of the bunker with to nice, new, fresh clothes. It's not that that the cold bothered her, no, in fact she was wearing the most out of place clothes for a cold night out and about town. Black shorts, a thin white shirt, and ankle high boots. She didn't want anything too fancy.
The girl, somewhat feeling as though she was new to this world, hugged herself and tried to keep low. She had no need for unwanted attention, and tucked her head down to avoid eye contact. What if she saw someone who had known her before? Even though she didn't remember what happened to her, at least she knew she was missing a substantial chunk of her life in her memory banks.
Bumping the shoulder of another snapped her back into reality. She turned around and bowed her head, "Oh! I'm so sorry!" Hana looked up to the rather rugged boy (what with his scruff and all), "I wasn't looking..." The girl gave him a sheepish grin, unsure of whether or not to wait for a response or to just take off.

Derek accidentally bumped against a girl, and instinctively tensed. Muttering, "Sorry", he looked up and found Hana. Before, Derek would of clenched his fists and prepared for a fight, but none of those emotions came rushing to him. Rather, his mind took note of the fact of how passive she was, how different she was. Her body lacked it's usual cockiness, and her voice had no trace of pain.
"Hana?"
It was all Derek could say, confused, as his face drew a concerned look.

The girl blinked profusely, trying as hard as she could to remember the boy. He knew her name. How in the world did he know that? Did she know him from somewhere in the past..? The fact he knew who she was confused her enough to just stand here. Hana let her left arm drop, rubbing it with her right hand and biting her lower lip. The passerbys began to get agitated and move around her, bumping into her as well in spite of the fact that she was in the way of those in a rush.
"Uhm…" Hana looked around and about, up at the lights and back to the boy.
Only one thing coursed through her mind: Was he friendly? From the area she exited, it seemed as though she had been a rather brutal fight, but she didn't stay long enough to see if any of them would wake up. All she remembered was the blood of other on her body when she left that place. Who was there was a mystery to her. What if he was one of them? Hana what are you doing?!
"Y-yes… Pardon, but... do I.. do I know you from somewhere?"

Derek's eyes widened in surprise. Hana was an accomplished liar, but nothing ever got past Derek. Not then, and definitely not now. But, Hana's words, they felt true, and her eyes held pure confusion.
"Hana, it's Derek. From Oceanside, where we go to school? From..." Derek bit his tongue, not sure if he should bring up their past, especially in public.
"From back then," keeping it vague, "and you don't know who I am?" Then a thought struck Derek. He'd been gone for months, and tons of things could of happened while he was gone. Derek huffed and bit his lip. Reluctantly he relaxed and let down the walls he's kept up.
Grasping her hand, he asked, "Do you know who I am?"

"Hana, it's Derek. From Oceanside, where we go to school…"
So she was a student at Oceanside, and he was her classmate. That… that makes sense, but she still didn't remember any Derek. The name didn't even a ring a bell whatsoever. Hana looked down at the ground and scratched the back of her head. This was going to be a lot more complicated than she thought, recollecting her memories, that is. Just how exactly was she going to explain to him that she didn't know hi--
He grabbed her hand. This is the first physical contact she'd had with anyone since she had come back to Oceanside. Were they that close? Her heart was racing, but why? Derek was just some guy that she had just met, essentially, so why feel nervous about it now.
"Do you know who I am?"
The one question she didn't want to hear. Hana didn't know if she knew him! Keep calm, Hana. Just. Just answer his question. He doesn't seem to be hostile at all…
"To be honest… No… I don't even know why I'm here." The girl looked back up at Derek, her eyes gleaming, as though it were her first time experiencing the world.

Well shit. Hana had no idea who he was. At it seems to be, why she's here. "Amnesia..." The words left his mouth before he could think, then he cast his eyes down. Could that really be it? It would so much easier to confirm if Olivia was...
The thought of Olivia send a searing pain through his mind, and he dropped Hana's hand. He grasped his head, and looking around. The street was empty now, the music was fading, and his vision tunneled. Grasping a tree behind him, he shut his eyes.
He slid down the stairwell walls as the place crumbled. Jumping from side to side, he managed to roll into the bottom floor, as rocks collapsed and closed off the exit. The floor rumbled, as cracks ripped across the ceiling. Looking up he saw Richard's and Olivia's bodies on the floor. Instinctively he pushed forward, propelling his body with new found energy as he saw his sister. But then the room rumbled louder, and a boulder came flying down-
Derek sucked in air, and found himself back on Mission Avenue. His head was still throbbing and his forehead had a line of sweat. He was breathing hard, and he tried to keep down his stomach.
