Carson wandered into the room, still clutching her head and groaning. She noticed that new bags had appeared on the third bed. New room mate. She was in too much pain to snoop around and figure out who it was. Like the night before, Carson was out cold the minute she lied down. Her head hurt even worse tonight than it had the last. Maybe it was because she hadn't eaten much lately? She resolved to eat more the next day. A few other things were on Carson's mind right before she fell asleep, but she kept shoving them away. Like most things, she just didn't trust them...

Artemis fumbled for her keys as she sort of kicked her door open. SHe ate to much at Ruby's. She groaned a bit before heading to the shower. She turned on the water that was freezing. She heated it up quickly as she stepped in for about 15 minutes. She thought about her day and a few...people. She walked out, changed into Pjs and crawled into bed. She yawnd as she lay on her pillow closing her eyes and falling asleep. SHe now had two mates.

Cora woke up early the next morning. She was normally an early bird, so this really didn't strike her as different. Sh really didn't remember much of last night except that she has gone to get some coffee and it hadn't turned out how she planned. Cora threw her head back down in her pillow. She found her iPod on her nightstand, and shoved the ear buds in her ears. If this didn't work, nothing would. Cora closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Carson woke up to her stomach rumbling. She rolled over and looked at the clock. It was only a quarter after six. She groaned. She was still tired and wanted to go back to sleep, but she was starving. She slipped out of her bed. The third bed in the room was now occupied. Carson leaned over a bit to see the face. It was the same girl who had a panic attack in the coffee shop the other day. Great. One of her room mates had anger management issues, and the other was a nervous wreck. This would be fun. Carson sighed. Maybe she'd get up and check out some more of the school. She was bound to find another student who was up early and willing to go out for breakfast with her. Carson got up and meandered over to the dresser. She pulled out a black and white baseball tee and black cargo shorts.

Cora's eyes popped open. She saw the face of the girl from the coffee shop. "Hey," she mumbled, "you're Carson, right?"

Cora threw her pale legs out of bed and stood up. She walked up to the girl in her pajamas. "Sorry. I don't make the best first impressions. So, hi, I'm Cora," she began, trying not to stutter. When she didn't, a smiled bloomed on her face, paired with her words.

When Carson didn't respond, she just shook her head. She decided to change. Cora's feet pattered against the floor as she trotted over to her dresser. She grabbed a rumpled pair of Bermuda shorts and a loose tank top that used to be her sister, Jess's. When the name came into Cora's mind, there was no turning back. Her mind wandered back to the day she lost her sister.
It was a normal day. Cora fiddled with her summer assignments while Jess chattered endlessly on the phone to Zach, her boyfriend. Personally, she had never met the guy, but from the way Jess fawned over him, she was either suddenly boy-crazy or something, or truly in love with him. Cora looked up from her math. Jess had just miserably gotten off the phone. "Why are you so crazy for him. You just met him three weeks ago," Cora had commented, too young to understand. "He's amazing, Cora. I just wish you could see..." Jess trailed off blissfully. Cora scoffed. "I don't know--I don't believe in love at first sight." Jess looked at her, baffled. Her math was a perfect o. "You don't?" "Of course not," Cora had laughed. Jess clucked and grabbed her purse. "You'll meet him, today. Zach just happens to be bringing me for some frozen yogurt. And you're coming. So get dressed." Before Cora could reply, Jess had thrown jean shorts and a red halter top at her. After she had dressed, Cora replied, "What's wrong with ice cream?" "Nothing, it's just so ordinary." Cora waited with Jess for the Jeep to come around. But when she did see it, she bailed on Jess, hugging her goodbye as they sped away to their death. Cora heard the news two hours later. She wanted to kill herself for ditching them, for not understanding their love., When she did see Zach again, it was at his funeral. Jess and Zach had lost their lives.
Cora shook her head, a tear beginning to fall. She wiped it away, then went to the bathroom to change, but also so Carson wouldn't see that Cora was even more then a nervous wreak than she probably already thought. Cora fought to stay calm, and had won by the time she emerged from the bathroom.

Cora did not look at Carson when her stomach began to growl. It was quarter past ten, so breakfast was bound to be starting. She grabbed her map and began to search it for the cafeteria. It was in the Rec building. So Cora scraped her blond hair into a ponytail, grabbing the key to the room, and opened the door to the hallway.

Carson sat up and rubbed her eyes. She had woken up earlier due to hunger and had gotten dressed, but it had been so early that she just decided to ignore it and go back to bed. She glanced at the clock. Now it was eleven. She stood up and ran a brush through her matted hair. She'd missed breakfast. So much for her plan to eat well today. Carson slipped on her sneakers. Last night she'd gotten the invitation to Nefertari's party. She still hadn't made up her mind whether or not she wanted to go. It all depended on how many friends she made before the party, and how many of them were going as well. Carson looked around the room. Cora was gone, and Artemis was still sleeping. Carson exited the room and decided to go down to the dining hall for brunch.

Artemis yawned as she woke up. None of her mates were here. "Early birds" she said as she groggily crawled out of bed. She rubbed her eyes as she got dressed. "Another day" She moaned. She brushed her hair as Artemis hit the stairs for an out side walk or...something

Cora ran into her room, leaving the door open. She prayed with all her heart that someone would come to her rescue. She stuck her head over the toilet seat, hurling again. The dizziness persisted, but Cora fought, just like she had to hold back grief. She laid down on the bathroom floor, which now wreaked of vomit.

Artemis walked up to her room as she was going to change. She needed to practice for the fight tonight. She inhaled as she waved her hand as a current of wind opened the door. She looked around a bit as she smelled something horrible. She looked around and didnt see Carson. But she saw someone passed out on there bed. Artemis sat on her bed. She looked to her new room mate...She looked ill

Cora groaned and shifted. She still felt awful. She wanted to open her eyes, because one whisper was in her ear. She hardly paid mind to the name. so she opened her eyes to see the face of another girl. She blinked, nervous.

Artemis inhaled as she moved her hair out of her face. She saw her mate wake up. "Hey there" She said sort of awkward. "You uh...alright?" SHe stood up not really knowing this girl.
