Room 601 is a good sized, two person room, at the beginning of the third floor hall in Houdini.

So this was her room, huh?
Not for the first time, the blonde stood at the door, heel jamming it shut as she surveyed the spacious room for the umpteenth time. It was obviously meant for two people but she was the only one in here as of yet. Chess hoped it stayed that way; she never got along with others for too long. She didn't think that she school would appreciate her puppets either. Maybe they knew of her puppeteer habits and decided that she should have a room for herself.
Chess's lips curved up in a smile as she tossed back a tawny curl. This was definitely a nice place. So much bigger than her room in Detroit; she still hadn't been allowed to take over James' room even though he spent most of his time at his girlfriend-what's-her-name's house. Psshh, what did it matter, she was in her own room now. She had pushed the single bed into the corner--she always felt more comfortable in the corners. The covers were slightly ruffled--a sign that she had rested on the cotton bedspread for a few consecutive nights already. The closet was filled with hoodies and sweatshirts and a lot of jeans. Way back there where she didn't want anyone to see were dresses and... tops and... mini-skirts and generally slutty stuff. Who cared? Everyone was entitled to their own opinion here. Taking a few steps from the door, she surveyed the rest of the room, other side that she hadn't taken the liberty to plaster with random Detroit Tigers or Sum 41 posters. It was... boring. That was all to be said about it.
Uncrossing her arms, she turned around to face the door, glaring at it. She could feel the steel thread wrapped around her wrist numerous times to look like bangles. "Now what?" She asked the door almost rhetorically. [/color]

Roxanne stood at the door to her new room for a moment before entering. This wasn't like her. Usually, she would burst open the door and excitedly greet her new roomie, but this was different. She felt pressure to automatically hit it off with her room mate even though they had never met. On the entire way up to this spot she had thought of ice-breaker questions, suggestions for the room, and ideas on activities they could do to get to know each other. Even though she had all of this planned out in her head, she froze up. Roxy had never shared a room with anyone, so this was so out of her comfort zone. Plus she was already in a stereotypically "weird" place, so the possibilities were endless on how this first introduction could go.
Roxy knocked on the door, and opened it rather slowly. "Hi there! I'm Roxanne, you can call me whatever you like though. Nice to meet you, Roomie." She said in her typical friendly demeanor. She was very excited to get to know her new room mate, but was nervous to find whether the feeling was mutual or not.
While the introductions were being made, Roxy began to examine and plan out her space. She placed her three suitcases on the empty bed and began to unpack all of her clothes. In her first extra large suitcase, it was all just clothes. Her style pretty much consisted of loose tank tops of all kinds like graphic and colored, shorts of all colors and types (her tight jean shorts were her favorite), Leggings of all patterns, mini skirts, a few cute tunics and a bunch of jackets. She had random Tee Shirts and only two pairs of skinny jeans. She unzipped the second bag to reveal dozens of boots, shoes and heels. Then finally the third bag which included makeup, accessories and purses. She spent time to carefully organize her closet. Clothes organized on the hangers, with shoes on the floor of the closet. She knew it would never stay this organized but it made her feel good to start off clean.
Once Roxy made her bed and put down her lime green and white floral comforter, she sat down to face her room mate. "So, since we are at this gifted school, what exactly is your gift?" She asked with sort of a playfully prodding tone. She always wanted to know if there were other people like her and now that she was in a whole school full of them, she was very eager to completely dive in to this new world.
