This is where the philosophy class takes place. Until we have an actual teacher, just puppet one. Have fun discussing stuff!

Nefertari walked in the main building and up to the second floor, she lightly yawned, functioning on one hour of sleep. She smiled a bit, and couldn't believe it had only been a couple hours ago. She turned the handle of the door and walked into the room, sliding into a seat in the middle. That's where you could get away with the most stuff. She propped her elbows up on the table and wondered who else had this class with her. She tried to drown out some of the other's chattering, It was too early to be that damn energetic, she thought to herself. She was not exactly a morning person, and she hadn't had her daily dose of caffeine yet. [data]Outfit, minus the heel and rings: lookbook.nu/look/964771-ready-for-school

Vergil shuffled in a little after a few other students feeling meek and significantly smaller than everyone not only in size but in power. He quietly sat in the middle near a quiet girl and set his tome in his lap for the sake of feeling more secure while a hand rested on the desk on top of his messenger bag.
He was surprised to see the room filling steadily and wondered exactly how many people were interested in philosophy enough to be willing to take it as an earlybird class, time they could be using to continue to sleep.

Philosophy. Aside from psychology, it was the topic everybody thought they knew all about. Purely out of interest in what kind of discussion's would be brought up, Zesend had chosen the earlybird class. He wasn't particularly surprised to see so many people shuffling sleepily in as he did the same; noticing Vergil, the freshman he had recently met, the long-haired sophomore figured a seat near him would be better than a seat next to complete strangers. Settling into a seat behind Vergil, Zesend crossed his arms on the desk and rested his head on them.

She noticed the boy from the fight had sat next to her, she tried to remember his name,"Vergil?", she said, not to sure if she got it right,"Morning", she greeted him with a tired smile. She looked at the Styrofoam cup of coffee on the edge of her desk, she had forgotten she had gotten one. She took a sip and straightened up in her seat.

Vergil was surprised to have his name known and realized, taking a closer look at the quiet girl (though she wasn't exactly quiet anymore, just subdued), that it was one of the people involved in the park incident. He smiled to her and softly returned her good morning only to recall not ever catching her name, "Yu muhst pahrdun me Fräulein, fohr I haff nevhur gohten yur name."

"It's okay, I think you left before I introduced myself. I'm Nefertari", she introduced herself. She still had a pounding headache, she was so going to crash when school got out. If the discussion wasn't of interest she'd sleep in this class. "So, how was your last day of summer?", she asked, trying to make conversation.

"Fräulein Nehfhurtahree then," Vergil said with the smile now upon his lips, "Mein lahst day vhas gut, thahnk yu fohr ahskeeng. Und yurs?" He stroked the spine of the black tome in his lap and was glad to feel his core resonating with a happy purr from the onyx beads on his right arm. Today felt like it'd be a good day and hopefully that included this class.

"You can just call me Tari, or Nefertari", she said with a smile. Then thought about yesterday,"It was...interesting", she replied then snapped out of her reverie,"And now school starts", she hung her head a bit as the teacher walked in and over to the front of the room.

Vergil nodded and wondered what she meant by the finishing phrase in her thoughts when there came a hush around the room and their teacher stepped forth.
Mr. X, as the writing on the white board behind them read in black letters, was twenty seven and not at all terribly old like many had expected (many of the newer students that is). He scooted back a stack of books on his desk and let them all fall behind it with a loud series of thumps as he easily hoisted himself up onto it and sat in front of them all, "Welcome! To your first year of Philosophy. If you all don't know my name by now," he pointed a thumb behind him without bothering to turn himself along with it, "then you are in serious need of observational skills." A series of laughs echoed in the room, some bold, others shaky.
The older man clapped his hands together and surveyed the room with interest. A fresh year usually meant a fresh batch of ideas and feelings for him, which he always welcomed, "So, I'm going to skip the embarrassing self-introductions for today and just let them come along naturally with our discussion. I have a very simple question for you all and before you answer, I'd like your name then your thoughts. Sound good?" More echoes of agreement and the occasional nay from the funny guys, "Okay, awesome."
Hopping off the desk, Mr. X paced the front and put his hand dramatically to his chin then whipped around on them, "What is.." for the sake of dramatics, he drew out the silence, "Philosophy?"

Raising an eyebrow as the teacher came in, Zesend was pleasantly surprised - he had expected an old man, one that would boringly drone on while the class argued amongst themselves. This could actually be a fun class, he thought. Not lifting his head from his folded arms, Zesend answered, "Zesend Rowe; philosophy is the study of fundamental problems such as existence, reason, mind, and language."
ooc: Why yes, I did almost completely plagiarize wikipedia ^^

Tari smiled, seems like she wouldn't be sleeping this period. The teacher was rather energetic, she was glad she had listened to a senior's recommendation that she take this class, it'd wake her up. After the boy near her had replied she answered,"Nefertari Adel. philosophy is basically one's outlook on life, their set of beliefs and what they believe are the answers to the big questions in life. It can also be one's motto or mindset on how they live their life", she replied as best as she could, her mind not at it's sharpest at the moment.

Mr. X pointed in Zesend's direction, "Very good Mr. Rowe, very good! Now to put it in more layman's terms for the sake of understanding it at it's 'atom' form: at its simplest, philosophy is the study of knowledge, or 'thinking about thinking.'" He turned to dash to the board and write upon it what he was speaking as well as adding (from the Greek phílosophía, meaning ‘the love of wisdom’) below it all.
He turned back around when he heard a female voice speak out bravely, nodding as he listened then clapping once when she finished, "Also correct, very good Ms. Adel. Basically," he addressed the entire class, "Philosophy is what you make it. Cogito ergo sum! I think, therefore I am: a very basic concept of Western Philosophy used by René Descartes." Mr. X turn back around to write on the board again with the slightly squeaking EXPO marker, adding Je pense donc je suis, the french translation to the famous Latin statement. He spoke again as he wrote, "Can anyone think of any other famous statements made throughout time?"

Nefertari watched as the teacher bounced around with energy, writing around the board and speaking. She took out a notebook and got ready to scribble down notes if needed.
She thought about his question, scouring her mind for some famous quotes. She answered a bit hesitantly at first,"'One thing only I know, and that is that I know nothing', Socrates, another statement made by him was 'the unexamined life is not worth living'."

"Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit, Oscar Wilde." Zesend spoke up once again, a wry tone coloring the quote. "Not exactly relevant to philosophy, but relevant nonetheless."
