The Teacher's Lounge is where Professors and other staff can come and get a break from all of the crazy teenagers. Off-limit to students except in the case of an emergency.

Headmistress Maria walked into the teacher's lounge, a clipboard in her hand. She had been going through the building, making a list of everything that needed to be done in the next two weeks. Needing a break and some tea, she'd decided to stop into the teacher's lounge. After making her cup, she sat on one of the large stuffed chairs.

Walking into the teacher's lounge was such a relief for Professor O'Connell. The kids outside on the rest of the campus were tiring, and his old age meant that he could not tolerate too much noise and what-not at one time. Noticing Headmistress Maria, he walked over to her with his tea mug in the other hand. He smiled politely at her at sat in the lounge closest the the headmistress. "Hello there, Headmistress. How are we today?" His slight Irish accent could be faintly heard in the professor's greeting.

"Good evening, Stephen," the Headmistress said to the professor. "Please, sit. I am doing quite well, just preparing for the new year. What about yourself?"

Headmistress Annabella walked in, looking over applications and paperwork. She decided it was time for a short break and set down the binder and headed over to their coffee maker. After her coffee was done, she poured it into a mug and sat down at a table.

Annabella walked into the teacher's lounge, going over her speech for the next day. It always surprised her when school started up again, summer went by so quickly. She sat down at a comfy chair and greeted the other headmistress,"Evening Maria", she said with a smile.

Maria walked into the Teacher's lounge, tired of being cooped up in her office, but still needing to get work done. She sat down at one of the tables and spread various forms, papers, and applications out.

"Good evening, Anna," she said, returning a smile. "Is that your speech you've got there?"

"Yes, still needs work", she replied with a sigh,"Busy day?", she asked, gesturing over to the papers strewn all over the table.

"As does mine," the Headmistress said, getting up to pour herself a cup of tea. "Care for some?" she asked. "And yes, very busy what with new students everyday and class schedules to work up."

She nodded,"Yes thank you. So many transfers this year, really", she replied shaking her head.

She poured a second cup and handed it to the other Headmistress, "All the better, really," she said. "It means that more are being protected during their most vulnerable years, and more are learning how to protect themselves. Looking forward to anything this year?"

She nodded,"True. Hm, well I'm a year closer to retirement", she joked then thought about the question,"Probably seeing how much all the seniors have grown since their freshman year. And seeing what mischief these kids will bring this year", she said, smiling.

Maria laughed, "Very true," she said. "You know, unlike most teachers I really enjoy grading papers," the Headmistress told the other, "It's not the act of actually grading the papers that I enjoy, but seeing what students write and doodle in the margins. I once had a student, Amira Radke, do you remember her? The girl who could manipulate time? Well, she once wrote, 'I am made every second of every day yet my value will never decrease.' It was poetic, really." She gazed off into space for a moment before coming back down to earth, "Well, I should get back to work. See you tomorrow, Anna," Maria said, going back to her papers.
