Penelope rested against the railing as she looked out across the grounds. It was peaceful up here, and the sun was beginning to lower in the sky. She had just received word that her first fight would be on Monday with a girl who had a 'Sonic Scream.' Penelope laughed to herself at the thought of fighting her; it'd be a piece of cake, Penelope would have her pinned in less than a minute. Still, Penelope felt her usual pre-fight jitters. She turned around so her back was facing off the tower and created a ball of electricity in one of her hands. She bounced the ball from one hand to the other, and expanded and collapsed the ball, testing her strength.

Penelope walked up to the top of the tower and took a deep breath. She pushed herself up onto the ledge and lay down, looking up at the sky. She had won, true, but she didn't intend to harm Lyra to the extent that she had.

Aaron walked up to the tower. It was a good place to catch a view and get a fresh breath of air. He saw Penelope lying on the ledge, debating rather or not to talk to her. "You okay?" Aaron asked Penelope, shoving his hands in his pockets. His voice was quiet.

"I'm fine," Penelope said, even though it was beyond clear that she was not. The electricity glowing in her hands didn't help.

Aaron scratched his head, "you, uh," he was at a lost for words. His body leaned against the ledge but away from Penelope. "What happened out there- it wasn't your fault," Aaron said, "I saw the whole thing, she tripped and the timing was bad, that's all."

"I know that," Penelope said a little harshly. "Sorry," she said after she realized how her first statement had come out. "I just... I don't like unintentionally harming people," she told him. She sat up and turned so she was facing out and her legs were dangling over the ledge.

"Nobody does," Aaron said to Penelope. Although her tone changed, his remained calm. He was worried Penelope would jump off but she didn't appear the kind of girl to throw her life away. "But it happens... and you can't avoid it, not everyone has a force field," Aaron laughed lightly. It was a very weak, dry joke but it was true.

Penelope laughed very slightly, "You're not funny," she told him. "I just... I love victory, and I feel like I didn't earn it this time. I kind of want to call a rematch for the third round, but I'm worried that I wouldn't win."

Aaron didn't know what to say. He thought of some things... but nothing seemed good enough. "You did earn it," Aaron told Penelope. "You feel guilty, therefore you think you didn't earn it," Aaron said, telling her stuff she already knew.

"I know that, too," Penelope said. She stood up on the ledge and began walking on it, holding her arms out for balance. She started humming a tune.

Aaron did not like Penelope walking on the edge. He followed her and wrapped an arm around her legs and picked her up to put her on the ground. "Really- just forget about it," Aaron said.

"Hey!" Penelope said when he moved her, surprised by his strength. "What'd you do that for?!"

"I don't want you falling," Aaron said, putting his hands back in his pockets. "You don't know when the wind will pick up," he said and leaned against the tower. He closed his eyes for a moment. "Don't do that while you are by yourself."

"I'm fine Aaron, see?" she got up on the ledge again and faced inwards, falling back over the edge. She teleported behind Gavin before she had fallen too far, hoping to startle him.

Aaron turned around, not phased by Penelope's teleportation. It was nothing new here. Maybe five years ago he would have been started. Aaron shrugged, "that still doesn't give me a reason to not concern for you safety."
