"Dammit Tobias!" Lyra smacked Tobias's upper arm. "Dammit you do know! You could of killed yourself and others!" her throat throbbed. "Why, Tobias, why?!"

"A moment huh?" Lyra put her hands on Tobias' chin so that he could look at her. "You could have killed yourself," Lyra was quiet, but her voice was anything but pleasant. "You could have killed people, Toby! I wasn't even there to hold them back." she let go of Tobias's face, now crying. "I could have lost you, TK!" her she collapsed to the ground, sitting on her knees, looking up at Tobias.

From his random wanderings of the unfamiliar setting, Max came upon the gigantic tower. He walked to the top, massaging his temple and inducing himself in his favorite addiction.
"Aw man, it's SO LOVELY up here! I can just feel the warmth of the night ALL AROUND ME <3!" He blurted aloud while hugging himself.

Tobias knew that Lyra was right. He wished she had been there to help him. Tobias knelt down next to Lyra and placed a hand under her chin, lifting her face up to look at him. He leaned in close to her face and gently kissed her cheek. "You know that I would never die before I could say goodbye to you, Lyra."
Tobias gave her a gentle smile and took her hand to help her stand up.

Lyra's lips trembled and she could feel her face go hot when Tobias kissed her cheek. "You're a dumbass," Lyra said with a small laugh as she wiped her tears with her sleeve. But they still need to continue their talk... except that would be on hold.
Lyra looked over to the new comer who was hugging himself, rambling about how the night was... warm. Was he crazy? He had to be crazy. It was freezing outside. Lovely? Yes. Warm? Hell no.

"Hmm, that's enough for right now," Max whispered to himself. He leaned on the railing just staring at the sky. Random thoughts fluttered towards his head.
Max's head slowly turned around to see the couple behind him. As soon as he caught a glance, his head turned back. "What a lovely pair," his mouth shivered out as he soon realized the cold air.

"I don't know," Lyra whispered to Tobias. Her eyes were kept on the strange boy who thought it was warm outside. "Do you think he is lost?" Nah, people who were at Oceanside were never lost. He was probably a new student that Tobias and Lyra did not recognize.

Max attempted to glance over again, but to his surprise, he met there eyes. "Damn, they know I'm looking. Might as well introduce myself."
Just as he was about to get up, he hesitated. "Am I sure about this? I've got nothing to lose, at this point at least." He committed to his getting-off-the railing move and uttered a greeting.
"Hey there."

"He saw us," Lyra's hands latched on to Tobias' left arm. But Max walked over to them, calmly and gave a casual greeting. "Hi," Lyra said. After watching a movie, she always tried to say hi rather than hey, because apparently girls who say hey are lesbians, and she did not want to convey that image. "Hi," she said again.

"I'm new here actually. I go by Max. Nice to meet the both of you," he said while sticking out his hand. Though he didn't like being referred to as little buddy, he thought they were nice. They didn't seem like bad people at all.
"And your names are?" he questioned the both of them.
