He stepped inside and saw a massive orb, made of what looked like electric blue lava. There were streams of colors flowing off of the orb, and a strong buzzing sound came from it.
He stepped forward and the light from the orb fell over his body, and he felt a pull. Something was pulling him towards the orb. He tried as hard as he could to run away, but it felt as if he was just running backwards.
As he got closer and closer to the orb, he could feel something draining out from inside his body, and he suddenly felt empty. A dark gray smoke seemed to come out of his very pores and flow into the orb, which seemed to grow. He quickly realized that the smoke-like substance was the essence of his powers, and he could no longer use his gifts, for they no longer belonged to him.
He continued to try and escape the orb's pull, thinking that life, even without powers, was better than whatever could come from touching the strange object, but it was no use. The distance between him and the orb grew smaller and smaller, and soon the blue lava-like substance had engulfed his body, and he was gone.

Headmistress Maria unlocked the several locks on the door to the Forbidden Room and walked inside. The item that she kept around her neck activated, and protected her from the orb. She walked swiftly over to a table that hosted various screens, buttons, and switches, and went through the normal routine of checking to make sure everything was ok.
Shortly after starting, her knees buckled and she gasped, a few tears coming out of her eyes. She ran out of the room and headed for Anna's office.

Penny entered the room with Artemis and Nicholas close behind her. The 'orb' that was inside was massive, 20 feet tall and wide, and it looked like a giant ball of Penny's electricity. "Woah," was all she could say, her eyes widening in awe.

Walking in the room was bright. It almost ate up Penny orb itself. She was lost of breath. Widening her eyes the orb was huge. "What...is...that" She said wanting to touch it.

Artemis swallowed hard. The air was thin. Artemis Held on to Nicks hand. "Nick Be careful" She said pulling him back a bit. Artemis lifted her free hand to make more air. "I cant control the air" She looked at the two. "Its so...big" She looked at it now wanting to touch it herself.

Penny could feel herself being pulled towards the orb. She grabbed onto the door handle, to stable herself, and tried to push a forcefield around the three of them, but only a very weak one was produced. "What is it?" she wondered aloud.

"You two were right," Nick said, "My powers don't work up here." He saw Penny grab onto the door, and wondered why, but when he took another step forward, he understood. THe orb had some sort of pull, it was like it was pulling his insides out, he tried to go back towards the girls, and grab onto something, but walking was difficult.

Artemis looked around. She noticed Penny's forcefield. "Thats not going to help us" She said feeling loss of breath. Seeing Penny then nick being drawn she wandered what was wrong with them. "You guys o-" She stopped feeling a slow jerk then a pull. Artemis made a face waving her arm back towards the door. "What is this" She said trying to grab onto anything. She felt like she had drinken that bubbly stuff in willy wonka.

"I don't know," Penny said. "here, grab onto my hand," she said reaching out to Nick and Artemis. "Let's get out of here."

Nicholas tried to reach for Penny or Artemis, but the orb had sucked him in too far. He couldn't reach them, and his power wasn't working. He tried to pull himself closer to the wall, and push himself away from the orb, but it seemed like everytime he tried to use his power, the orb got stronger, and its pull increased.

Artemis saw Nick try to grab on to something. She tried to do anything to grab onto him. She barley touched his fingers but he slipped away. "NICK!" She cried still reaching for him. Artemis closed her eyes using her powers, manipulating the wind trying to reverse the pull. She took hold of Penny feeling the pull stronger and more intense.
There was nothing she could do...

Nick felt his hand touch Artemis', and knew that he was about to die. He could feel the orb pulling him closer and closer, and as it engulfed him, Artemis and Penny's faces became foggy and unclear, and then everything went black.

"NICHOLAS!" Penny screamed when he was pulled into the orb. The orb expanded slightly, and she no longer felt a pull. She let go of the door handle and fell to her knees.
