Aaron sighed in relief, "yes," he grinned and did a little victory fist clench. Success Aaron. Congratulations. He looked back at Melrose, smiling and beaming with confidence (for what it seemed, he was still nervous for tomorrow) "you, er, roses are okay right?" He needed to go to the grocery store to buy corsages. Those were most needed for a girl to wear on her wrist. And rose was the only flower Aaron new. Daffodils were more like a weed.

Roses. Like Melrose. It was perfect. At least in her mind.
"Roses are great. I love roses. Are you wearing blue? Like a tie or shirt? I have a blue dress, but there are others to chose from. I just like matching." Melrose admitted, hoping she didn't sound to obsessive or controlling. She just liked to match! Isn't that what dates do? They match? They always did in the movies. You could always tell which person was with who.

"I have a blue shirt and navy tie." Aaron nodded at Melrose. Yeah, blue was a nice color. Melrose would look beautiful in blue! He couldn't wait to see her dress. "Yeah, so, uh, roses then. I guess, white works?" Red and blue would seem weird, but it would be nice, unity of Bloods and the Crips so that is... nice? Nah, white would do. "Melrose and Aaron, rockin the dance floor once again, "oh god Aaron. Why do you have to be so cheesy?

"We'll tear it up and blow everyone away." Melrose sang back as she reached for Aaron's hands. She slowly gripped his palms and pulled them into a hug. She loved being with Aaron. Everything always seemed so much brighter and easier.
"White sounds good. It'll look nice with out blue outfits. We'll look great, I just know it, Superman." She used the word again. Melrose held Aaron for a tad bit longer than the natural hug. She wanted to thank him. But one does not thank for things like this. Right? She'd thank him later, when the night was over. She'd thank him for being such a great friend and fun night.

"Of course!" Aaron's voice was lighter, almost peaking to a squeak but his voice was nice to him. As Melrose wrapped Aaron into a hug, Aaron joined her, his arms wrapping around her cute waist. Aaron thought his heart was going to stop. This hug wasn't like their previous, short second ones. This one lasted much longer, like... ten seconds.
After the hug was over, Aaron grinned at Melrose. He just grinned after breaking the hug. If he held the hug longer, he would just look weird.

Artemis made her way to the water balloon tossing booth. With a smile she saw her friend Sam sitting up there. "Ready to freeze your ass off?" She called handing the girl a 5 dollar bill for 3 balls. Smiling she tossed it up a few times catching it.
"Ahem" he said with an evil smirk bringing her hand back. Tossing the first ball she hit the target dead on causing the kid Sam to fall in to the chilly water. Laughing she handed the other 2 balls to two other students who were watching. Dunking him was fun enough.
"That was pricless" She said with a smile. Turning on her heel she soon saw Mr. Redwood. "Mr. Redwood!" She called. Her thick accent making his name sound totally odd.

Gary wondered why students were more happy to see teachers outside of the classroom. Although he was on grounds, students still greeted him and waved to him as if he was one of their own classmates. It was a mystery he would never understand as a teacher, although back at his days at Miami Waters Academy he greeted his teachers in the same manner.
One of his students greeted him in an accent, easily distinguished as Artemis Cunningham. Gary smiled at his student and slightly waved to her, "hello, Artemis!" he greeted. "Enjoying yourself?"

Smiling Artemis approached him nodding. He honestly was one of the most laid back teachers around. He was pretty cool. Smiling she walked over to him. "Yes Mr. Redwood. I suck at all the games so" She shrugged digging her hand to the bottom of her pockets.
"But dunking a few students was worth my money, how are you?" she asked looking around then back at him.

"You can't be that bad at games if you managed to hit the target from a soft ball, you must have a good, strong arm," Gary complimented Artemis. Artemis never thought high of herself, she always found flaws and Gary felt bad because of that. It was sad seeing teenagers, especially teenage girls with their low-self esteem. Of course, as a teenager he never noticed it but witnessing it first hand from a 3rd party it was obvious. "I'm doing fine, waiting for the activities to wrap up," he said, putting his hands in his pockets, "my kids had a great time though. They should sleep easily tonight."

Artemis nodded. "Oh well...yeah I guess" She said smiling. "Yeah it is late the carnival is over I just realized that" She said looking around seeing everyone pack up. "Gonna watch Houdini Hall tonight?" She asked looking around. Nodding with a smile. "Oh yeah Misty and Ashton? I bet they had fun" She said with a smile. She liked his kids. Honestly it was some of the things that kept her on the good side and sane. His kids were adorable.

Gary shook his head, "nah. I can't. I have a home to go to," he said. Gary was surprised that Artemis remembered his kids names so easily. For a moment he forgot about what Artemis did. It was almost, no, it was embarrassing having two of his students go in the forbidden room. Both Artemis and Penny both. Kids were getting into bad groups lately. Hopefully he learned his lesson. "Excited for homecoming tomorrow?" he asked, assuming she was going.

Inhaling Artemis looked around. She didnt like to look at dark places for to long...other wise she would start flashing Nick's face. Still always having vivid nightmares. She always thought it was her fault. It was her fault. Shaking it off she looked up nodded. "Thats right a famly' and kids yeah" She said understanding,
"Homecomi- crap that tomorrow night" She said biting her lip. "Yes Im excited I uh...Just got asked the other day actually..." She said snapping her fingers and starting a mini flame.

"Oh really? Who's the lucky guy?" Gary asked. It was weird talking to a student at this level, but it was best to look at students eye-to-eye to see them for who they are, as teenagers growing. They were special kids and treating them like every other human was important. It would teach them good morals, and as an ethics teacher, it what he did. Speaking of Ethics he needed to think of a lesson plan for next week.

Artemis raised her brow as he asked her. "Im not so sure he is lucky but" She said shrugging. "He is a manip kid"S he said with a smile letting the flame travel up her arm. "Its Tobias Knight"S he said inhaling,

"Oh, Tobias!" Gary nodded, knowing who Tobias was. He was a smart kid, he did well on his tests, but Tobias never participated. Tobias would never talk in his class, although he paid attention, and his essays and tests proved that, but when participation was a major grade, it tend to hurt. Hopefully in Tobias' final year, he will participate more. "I hope you have fun, don't let him do anything you don't want him to," Gary said. Hey, he was a teen. He knew what they thought. Gary watched the flames engulf Artemis' arms, wondering why she would do that in front of a teacher. At least it was in front of a teacher where he was supervising her. There were kids who were playing around with their powers and it was okay within the gates of Oceanside.
