The Courtyard

[noah]

Noah wandered into the courtyard. His day had been spent wrestling with a new computer program that just didn't want to install, and he really needed the break. As he walked around, he noticed a dark haired girl sitting alone. Bored and in need of human interation, Noah walked over to her. He made it look like he was just walking past, in case she wasn't in the mood to talk. As he neared the girl, Noah said in her direction, "You look bored." He figured if she wanted to talk, she's invite him over.

[Nefertari Adel]

Hearing someone walk past and talk to her Tari looked away from the fountain, she had came back after giving Melrose a tour,"Perceptive", she replied to the boy, he looked familiar,"Have we met?", she asked, trying to place him.

[noah]

"Hmm, not to my knowledge," Noah said. He was sure he's seen the girl around school, they'd just never formally met. "Well anyways, I'm Noah." he said.

[Nefertari Adel]

"I'm Nefertari, nice to meet you", she said, with a smile,"What brings you out here?", she asked.

[noah]

"Not much, just needed to get outside for a while." He responded, not able to think of a better reason. "What about you?" Noah asked in return.

[Nefertari Adel]

"Felt like it", she shrugged,"Plus manipulating the water here is good practice", she replied, not having any better reasons. She hadn't felt like going into the city alone, so there weren't many options.

She waved to Noah as he left and went back to playing with the water. She put her hand on the surface, and stopped it from rippling. She had cold air encircle all of the water and watched as it slowly started to freeze.

As he came out of his dorm, James moved into the courtyard, noticing that there seemed to be several other people here already. Heh, he didn't recognize them, must not be from his dorm. Messing with other students was fun, as long as they weren't telepaths. The idea of people being in his head...well he'd rather not think on it. He'd find the ashtray later, his car wasn't going anywhere anyway. Well, not until later tonight. Just to break curfew. Now the only problem was that although he didn't know them, his reputation could precede him. From where he was he could see the girl was playing with the water. Huh, a manipulator, of water apparently. Pausing in his step he watched as she froze the water, and walked closer, without saying anything, for a moment. "Nothing better to do?" He said, his eyes coming up to look at her.

[Nefertari Adel]

Nefertari slightly jumped when someone came up behind her, what was it with people and sneaking up on her today? Jeez. The water had gone back to normal, she pulled back her hand absorbed the water into her hand so it wasn't wet anymore. She turned to face him,"Nope, what about you?", she asked, then smelled the smoke on him,"You should be more careful, drugs aren't allowed on campus", she said to him, creating a breeze to get away the smell.

"Guess not." James said, if he was here talking to her rather then just walking by. The breeze she created indeed carried the smell of his cigarette away and he snorted faintly in irritation. "Its legal, what're they gonna do about it, kick me out?" It was almost like he wanted to see them try. Crossing his arms he simply seemed to not care. "Why, you going to rat me out?"

[Mykel Rahs]

Mykel stepped quietly through the courtyard, scrambling up the tree he'd shown off with yesterday. Curling up in it's leaves, he peered out and watched the activity below.

[Nefertari Adel]

"Yes, I'm totally going on snitch on you", she rolled her eyes, her tell on someone because of drugs? That'd be funny,"I just don't want the smell on me, and even though it's legal for you to smoke, it's a no-smoke zone", she told him, the last thing she wanted was to get kicked out,"I don't care, I'm just telling you. Anyways I'm being rude, my name is Nefertari, you are?", she asked.

Artemis left her room as she wandered out towards the courtyard. She pressed her lins as she sent a small chill through the air...She was bored and wanted to go do something. Artemis figured she would wander and perhaps meet some people or practice her powers. There she saw Tari with another boy.

[Mykel Rahs]

Mykel had flipped to his back, and now fell from the tree, sparks flying up with dust and grass. "Damn." He mumbled, standing, brushing himself off, and zapping the branch he'd fallen from.

Nefertari heard someone approach and turned around and was about to wave to Artemis when she saw the kid from lunch fall from a tree,"What the- Are you okay?", she asked, calling out to him.
