"Uhhh..." Aaron was at a loss for words. He did not know what to say. He put the hamburger on his plate so the ketchup wouldn't drip down anymore. What was holding him back? The fear of rejection? Yeah, that was it. Melrose never talked about having a date for homecoming, so he hoped he still had a chance. Maybe he'd just ask her in a text. That wasn't bad, right? "...I don't know..." he mumbled quietly.

Lyra sighed. Aaron was too shy of a boy to ever gain the courage to ask a girl to homecoming. Maybe he was going for the last-minute approach and he would rather be the fall back and go to a dance with a girl rather than rejected early because a girl was waiting for someone to ask her. "Well," Lyra was more calm now, feeling bad for Aaron, "how are you going to ask her?" a smile was now on her face. Aaron seemed like the guy who would ask a girl in a cute way.

Nefertari rushed out of the dorm hall, cursing her inability to power nap. She had been planning to get some shut-eye for 20 minutes then go set up for the bbq but 20 minutes had turned into 5 hours. She mentally groaned, she'd never get to sleep tonight.
Smelling smoke, she found the location of the barbecue and waved to the groups of students around the area. She walked up to Lyra,"So sorry, I'm late", she apologized, feeling bad she had made the other girl set up without her,"It looks like you got along fine without me though", she added with a small laugh.

"Don't be sorry to me," Lyra said, looking up at Tari as she was throwing out empty boxes that were only talking up space. "You'll have to talk to [whoever is in charge of StuCo] not me," she flashed a smile to show she was sorry but hey, it was Tari's fault. Tari had a responsibility and failed and she would have to pay for it. Unfortunately Lyra could not have a say in what it was. "Why were you late?"

Tobias led Artemis out to the courtyard. It was far enough from the gym that they would be left alone (not that he was going to do anything). "Here, sit," Tobias said, gesturing to a bench. He himself sat down and let out a sigh.

Artemis followed Tobias outside. She walked with him as they spoke just abit till they reached the court yard. Nodding she saluted him giggling as she sat down. Scooting so he could sit as well. "This is a lot of fun Tobias"S he said with a smile.

"This was a whole ton of fun," Tobias agreed. He smiled lazily and yawned. He was tired already. "Dancing takes a lot of energy," he said with a chuckle. "Are you chilly?" he asked Artemis. TK had remembered to grab his jacket part thing and was ready to offer it to Artemis.

Artemis nodded. 'Yes It takes alot out of you" She giggled. Looking up to the sky she stopped when he asked if she was chilly. No one ever offered there coat to her. Only because she could manipulate fire they figured she didnt get cold. "Yeah a bit." She smiled. Touching his hand slightly she sent vibrations of heat to him so Tobias wouldnt get chilly either while she wore his jacket.
Slipping it on it was a little big for her. Giggling she leaned back. "Thank you"

"You're very welcome. The night air feels good, but after a minute it can get really cold," Tobias explained to Artemis. She probably already knew it, but he was in a good mood and wanted to make conversation. "I've never really seen you cold. You know, since you can manipulate fire and all," Tobias noted.

Artemis nodded. "Yeah. I get cold Im normal" She giggled. "I can manipulate it but it doesnt mean im doing it 24/7 I get cold sometimes" She shrugged. "But I know what you mean. It feels nice only for a little bit"

Tobias wiped cold sweat off his forehead. "It's a beautiful night," he said, looking upward. "I think I'll always remember this."
Tobias stretched, his arm landed around Artemis. "Is it okay if I let that rest there?" he said, it sounded really dumb.

Artemis looked up to the sky. Watching the stars and the clouds move. Looking to Tobias as he spoke. "You know. I will to. Always" She said.
Seeing Tobias move she wondered what he was doing. Till his arm went around her. "Yeah you can just dont hit me in the head" She joked. Sliding over just a bit...She didnt want to creep him out she moved closer to tobias.

Tobias relaxed into a comfortable position, arm around Artemis, and stared up at the sky. There was something calming in the endless night sky. Brilliant points of lights, stars, filled the curtains of blackness. Little dots of shining hope amid a sea of vast darkness. Light weaved within the fabric of shadow...
Tobias smiled to himself. He loved the night sky.

Artemis sort of sat there. Looking up at the stars as well. Not saying a word it was like she was floating looking up into the black abyss. Watching as the clouds move past the stars she leaned her head on to Tobias' arm.
Artemis inhaled closing her eyes for a moment. Nothing could go wrong. It was really nice.
"Thank you" She whispered

"Hmm?" Tobias asked. He thought he heard Artemis say something, but he might have been mistaken. Tobias tilted his head to look at Artemis.
He didn't feel like moving. It was a very nice place to be at the moment.
