Artemis had gotten a text from Penny, ho she had been Neglecting for a while for homework and such. She was surprised that she didnt see her friend at Homecoming. They had been talking about it for a while now. Shrugging she made her way into the courtyard and took a seat. She slipped her phone back into her pocket as she waited.

"What up?" Penelope asked Artemis as she walked into the courtyard and spotted her sitting on one of the benches. She'd been busy recently, school was important to her, so homework came first. She hadn't gone to Homecoming; without a date it just seemed kind of pointless. It probably would have been really hot and gross with bad dancing to bad music, so Penny didn't feel too bad about missing it.

"Sup Pen" Missy said waving to her. Watching her walk over Artemis inhaled looking to the sky. "Hows life?" She asked turning to her. She had missed a fun Dance. Homecoming with Tobias was great.

"Meh," Penelope shrugged, "It's alright. WHat about yours? What have you been up to?" she asked. She hadn't spoken to Artemis in a while, and didn't really know what was going on in her life.

"Meh" She said in a mimic. "Surviving I guess. "Artemis shrugged. She wasnt going to go on about how she found out her ring had been thrown into the ocean and she had vivid nightmares of her and Nick dieing over and over. "Um..I danced all night and fell asleep in the part on saturday" She said with a smile.

"That's good," Penelope said about the surviving bit. "Oh, did you go to the dance?" she asked Artemis. "Who'd you dance with?" Last time the two of them had seriously spoken, she was still very hung up about Nick. It didn't seem like she was going to get over him so quickly.

Artemis nodded. "Yes it would be a shame If I didnt survive. Im on a record" She said being a smart ass like always. "And meh I went with a friend. He asked me last minute it was great Tobias is a swell dancer" She said realizing she had given the name away,

"Oh, that's cool," Penny said. "Tobias Knight?" she asked, not really all that interested. She wondered what else Artemis had been up to since that day in the forbidden room.

Nodding Artemis agreed. "Yupp one of the same" She spoke softly running a hand through he hair. It was a bit awkward, things were normal till the forbidden room, losing nick, comatosing. Then they sort of just...separated.
Letting out a soft sigh Artemis turned to Penny. "So is it true? Your talking with that new kid that um...whats his face" She said not knowing his name. "Richard or something"

Penny's heart jumped a bit. She didn't know that anyone else knew that she'd seen Richard, and she was doing... work for him. "Yeah," she said. "Richard." She hadn't seen him in at least a week. And not going to Homecoming, the biggest event at school recently, probably wasn't a good idea.

She nodded. Artemis had..her ways of finding things out. "I see" Artemis said coldly. "Been hanging with him latley? you know he tried to kill me?" She said almost barking at her. No, she didnt know what they were doing together, if she betrayed her best friend and was secretly grouping with this richard fellow, But she knew Penny was up to something.

"'Hanging out' is hardly the term I'd use," Penny said, a bit bitter from Artemis' tone. "He pointed a gun to my head and then I left," she said. "I'm not planning on seeing him again," she lied. Artemis made it seem like Penny had been doing something with Richard, plotting or something else. Penny secretly wished that she was, but right now, she was just getting info on the school, for a reason that she did not know.

Artemis sighed shaking her head. "Penelope you dont have to lie to me" She said trying to calm down. This kid was serious trouble. And seeing as how he was Hostile to Penny as well only made it worse. "I mean...if there isnt anything to tell me its fine but..." her voice trailed off. Shrugging. "Nevermind" Missy leaned back on the bench pressing her lips to a line

"There really isn't," Penny said. "I was exploring, and went into the building that he was hiding out in. He pointed a gun to my head and asked me why I deserved to live. Eventually he let me go...." she said, hoping that she sounded sincere. Artemis seemed to really hate the guy.

She nodded. "Fine Ill drop it" Artemis shrugged. Of course she was upset. One Penny was like her best friend, she didnt care what was going on but he threatened both of them and they were supposed to have the trio or duo either one. But now, they never even spoke. "Penny" She said not looking at her. "I never mind I dont know" Missy said shrugging. She didnt know what to say. Sighing Missy shrugged. "Hows classes?"
