The Courtyard

[Penelope Greene]

"Really?" Penny asked. "No, what were you going to say?" Penny didn't like the way that the two of them were; all awkward and stuff.

Artemis shrugged. "I dont know Its awkward with us. Siburies leaving Ocean Side. Nick.." She got quiet. It was like Nick wasnt a big deal to them. But he was. He was there friend and he is gone. "Its weird with us thats all" Missy admited.

[Penelope Greene]

"We just haven't talked in a while. We've both been busy, and stuff has happened. We just need to get back on board, you know?" Penny said. She hoped that their friendship wasn't going down the drain.

Nodded she agreed. Penny was just about the first person she had met. They were close friends. No way was she going to let something stupid ruin there friendship. Letting out a soft sigh,"Yeah, your right" Artemis smiled to Penny. "Homecoming was Fun, Lyra won Queen"

[Penelope Greene]

"Was it?" Penny asked. "I've never been one for those kinds of dances. Maybe I'll go to the Halloween party. Though I think I might want to volunteer for the Haunted House...." she thought out loud.

She smiled. "Yeah punch was great, good music not all rap and crap"She said smiling. "Were gonna have a Halloween Dance as well? Sweet" She said smiling. "Oh Haunted house sounds fun Ill visit"

"You should volunteer at it with me!" Penny said, smiling. "C'mon, when else do we have a chance to scare people without getting into trouble?" She asked, trying to coax Art into helping her.

Missy let out a laugh. "volunteer? it really isnt my thing...But " She put both hands up. "Scaring people and not getting in to trouble, Or...scaring people and getting kidnapped by scientists" She said looking to her heads. "Eh ok Ill help" She said laughing

"Don't think of it as volunteering, more as getting a chance to exercise our powers in an appropriate setting. And we'll get a chance to do all the other fun stuff, too. And then maybe Headmistress Annabella will like us again, and let me be prefect," Penny laughed. It was good to be talking to Artemis again.

She nodded. "Yeah like your gonna be a prefect again, maybe when pigs fly" She said giggling. "Yeah yeah Ill help out with it. It will be fun" She smiled.

[Penelope Greene]

"Gee, thanks for your support," Penny said sarcastically, laughing. "Well, I've got a ton of stuff to do. We should hang out, though. Maybe go down to the beach sometime this week?"

[Sunglee Choi]

Sunglee was laying in the grass in one section of the courtyard, staring up at the dark sky. It was lucky he was wearing warm clothes, for, even though it was clear, it was cold. Though, he was sure he'd probably end up getting sick anyways, despite the warm clothes. But he couldn't deny this sight. He watched as the stars twinkled and shined, like they were all winking to him. It made him smile. He had a single blade of grass between his fingers, and he played with it as he thought of homecoming. he had met someone new that night. A young woman named Daphne. They seemed to have a bit in common, and when his migraine hit, she was kind enough to escort him back to his dorm room. It saddened him that he still had yet to thank her, but he was sure he'd get the chance soon enough. He began to hum in his serene moment. He was humming a song from a musical. The Phantom of The Opera to be exact. He was a sucker for musicals. The tune got the better of him, and he began to sing aloud.
"And though you turn from me, to glance behind! The phaaaantom of the opera is there, inside your miiiind...!"

Artemis waved to Penny as she left. Watching as the sun fell she now sat in silence and darkness. About ready to leave she heard a familiar tune followed by lyrics. With a smile she couldnt help but begin to hum. "Those who have seen your face, draw back in fear" She sang just a bit. Now Artemis could sing, she had a great voice she just never showed anyone it. Always thinking she was tone deaf. Stopping her singing she thought she got to loud. woundering if anyone heard.

[Daphne Amhearst]

Daphne was out for a walk, mostly to take in the sky. It was comforting for her to name all the different constellations. It wasn't long before she came across Sunglee. Singing. She smiled, chuckling. "You guys weren't kidding about the whole singing thing, were you?" She asked, peering down at him. Her hands were stuffed into her pockets of her jacket, trying to keep warm on her walk. It was a lot colder where she was from, but she was getting used to the mild temperature here. She missed home sometimes. The stars helped. It was something she did often at home.

[Sunglee Choi]

Sunglee abruptly stopped singing when the female verse was sung out. He sat up quickly with a right good start. "WAAH! GHOSTS!" He spazzed, not realizing anyone else had been there. He looked around and spotted a pretty young woman, one he didn't know. though, that wasn't saying much, he didn't really know too many people, despite the fact that he had been attending the school for four years. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know anyone was here. I thought a ghost lady was coming to get me!" His voice squeaked with fear near the end of his sentence, and he made a pouty face, fists up to his chin. Just then he was startled, once again, by none other than Daphne. "Wah! Why are all the pretty ladies trying to give me a heart attack!" He whined. He stood and dusted himself off, stepped over to the blond beauty, along with the redheaded beauty. "Uh, hi." He offered his hand. He was so very polite. "My name it Sunglee. You know, you have a really nice voice." He smiled, cheeks dimpling like they always did. He turned his head and offered the smile to Daphne as well.
