Derek turned his head to look at the growing group a few paces away from their own. The simple fact Artemis was involved didn't rub him right. There was something dark about the group, but Derek wasn't too willing to test his theory out.
Derek attempted to change the subject, "Well it's probably because it's a beautiful night. Don't you two think?"

Penny sighed, "Yeah," she said. Looking up at Nick. They had both known him, had classes with him, hung out with him. His death had not come easy for them.

"I mean...I knew him..its so weird knowing someone who had died...right where your living and you werent the cause of it" She said looking at the two...they sort of all seemed upset about it. "OK lets talk about something else" Her eyes gently wandered to the other side of the fountains seeing Derek there..Her eyes on his face for a moment. She turned back to look to Nick penny and Siburis.

He looked over at Penelope his head slanting slightly to the side. “Are you alright? What’s going on?” He walked over to her side, placing his hand on her shoulder.

Penny shrugged Siburis' hand off, thinking about Logan. She, like most other girls, had had a crush on him her freshman year. "I'm fine," she said. "Yeah, let's talk about something else."

"Curfew?" Nick suggested as a topic. "You guys are 40 minutes past, and I don't know what the other Prefect's like."

Derek saw Artemis catch his presence, if only for a second. Not good. "Huh, isn't it past curfew, and I'm pretty sure there are two prefects over there. I'd prefer not to get punished on my first day. Perhaps we should return to the dorms?", Derek suggested, slowly moving to the dorms himself.

He looked at Penelope for a moment, wondering what was going on. He took a breath and stepped back from her, his eyes looking around at all the other people there.

"Oh come on..." She looked up to Nick. "Shush...really do we have to go in..Penny is the prefect in my hall and your the prefect with sib here...you g get the others on that side" She said pointing out now seeing Derek again heading to his dorm. "Weird" She whispered.
