Lia was mulling over everything the Heamistress had said when it was announced the assembly was over. Lia stood up, a bit dazed and made her way out of the auditorium. Thoughts swirling in her mind; who was Logan Sykes? Could I have gotten along with him? What exactly is in the forbidden room? Lia tried to push that last thought out of her mind; if she didn't think about it, she wouldn't get curious. And if she didn't let herself go poking around the forbidden room, she wouldn't end up like Logan. Lia took a deep breath, pulling herself out of her thoughts as she headed back towards the dorms.

Derek swept himself up and moved quickly back to his dorm. He had a lot to contemplate and to solve.

Carson listened intently until the assembly was over. This was completely crazy. Though she hadn't known Logan at all, she still couldn't believe someone at this school had just died. And on school grounds, as well. She'd heard plenty about the forbidden room. At first she had just thought the staff was exaggerating with the term "forbidden". She'd never seen the entrance, or even gone near it, because she hadn't at all been interested. She had thought for sure all it held was a teacher's lounge, permanent records, or something else of the sorts that students weren't normally allowed to meddle with. But death? What could possibly be in there that had actually killed a boy? Was it the secret that the room held itself that killed him, or was it something protecting the secret? Either way, Carson hadn't wanted to go in before, and she certainly didn't want to go anywhere near it now. She valued her life, and she wasn't about to risk it to investigate the death of someone she'd never met. After all, she wasn't that heroic, and Carson was quite naturally selfish. She cared about her own well-being more than anyone else's.

Cora sat down next to Carson, never uttering a word. Cora let the tangy feel of worry rush through her, noting how it filled the room. Another thing rang true as she sat: Death. The stench filled her nose, making her cringe. Death. Someone died. That was the only explanation.
Cora listened, never taking her eyes off Headmistress Maria as she did. The words of her prediction were being spoken before her, shaking Cora into a whole new feeling of understanding for those who knew the boy. She felt a pang, as if her heart had another hole punched into it, after being ripped and torn time after time with each loss that landed on her plate, reminding her of Jess, and now, Mabel.
Co shook her head, feeling a migraine starting as the assembly ended. Cora stood, glancing over at Carson as her headache became to unbearable to pair with the voices that crowded her head and the words being told from the Headmistresses. She ran to her dorm, her mind to cluttered to consider going to the nurse.
