Toshie frowned, already in a bad mood because of last night's incident. "You're right, it was wrong." she said, slapping him full force on his right cheek. She bit her lower lip, feeling horrible suddenly and bowing apologetically, "Uh... I'm sorry. That was uncalled for."

Max fell to the ground from the slap. That was better than a gut punch. He sat up slightly and saw that she was still there, surprisingly. This apology seemed better already.
He heard her, but he insisted, "No, no, I deserved that, and probably more." He got up and wiped down his shirt. He chuckled saying, "That was a pretty good slap." He smiled and looked at her, "Can we still be friends?" He held out a pinky, it was childish, but that was his thing.

Toshie gasped, covering her mouth in surprise when he fell to the floor. She didn't think she hit him that hard at all. "Hmmn..." she mulled the thought over, wondering if it'd be okay for her to touch him even if it was just his pinky, "Uh.. alright I guess, but please tell me what you're about to do next time." She reached and grabbed onto his pink with her own, shaking it up and down.

He smiled in excitement. "Don't worry, I will," he responded happily. He returned the pinky grab, shaking it up and down as well.
His hand retreated from the grab and continued on with the conversation. "So, enough about me, what about you? What have you been up to?" he questioned. He walked towards the railing of the pier and leaned on it.

She smiled and laughed, "Oh you know, kicking ass and taking names." Literally. Toshie looked out to sea, and then back up at the moon. "Other than that, nothing else really," she added, the week had been uneventful other than the issues she seems to always have with Rhys.

She's done more than I have, that's to say. "That's pretty cool," he chuckled a bit. Looked up to the sky and realized it was later than he expected. His hand dropped back to his pocket and grabbed his phone to check the time. He saw the text from the school about homecoming. That's new.
"Did you hear about this homecoming deal?" he questioned her as he put his phone back and turned to face her.

She just checked her phone to see what Max was talking about, "Yup. Homecoming is on September 24th, how cool." Toshie stared at the screen for a little longer before putting it away, she wasn't sure if she still wanted to go. "You plan on going?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Me? I don't know," he responded confusingly. Homecoming was the last thing on his mind. He continued, "Maybe, it could be fun. Though, I'm new at this dance stuff." After all he was a freshmen still.
"What about you?," he questioned, eyes focused on her.

Toshie shrugged, "Not sure. Probably with a friend or something." She kept staring out to the sea, picking a piece of lint off her jacket.

Max paused for a second, letting the comment go through his head. He was a freshmen, but he wasn't stupid. He stayed facing towards her.
"Well, if you don't have anyone," he breathed for second, "I could-d es-scort you...or something." His stuttering couldn't be helped. "As friends of course, you know," he finished, attempting to play it off cool.

She smiled at him, "That's very sweet of you, Max. We'll see though, maybe.. someone will ask me." Toshie looked down, realizing how stupid it would be if that actually happened. "Uh, anyway, I think I better head back. I'll see you later!" she said, running off back towards the school.

I thought I was asking you? Max stood there, watching her leave. We'll try again next time, if there is a next time. He sulked for awhile at his lack of speaking up front. He stood on the pier alone, looking up to the moon.
After awhile, Max also headed for the school, looking to return to his room. His day was over, as far as he knew.

Hana dipped from school. It's not like she was missing anything since it was the end of the day anyway. It was stupid though, how they kept them caged in at the school like animals at the zoo. She leaned again the railing's bars and sighed. This place is so boring... she dug into her pocket, remembering that she still had that strange ring, Maybe I can try this now...
Carefully, she put the ring on. Please don't let there be wraiths, she thought blandly as she slipped the ring on with ease. AND THEN A GIANT TIDAL WAVE ATE HER NOMNOMNOM. LOLJK.
Nothing. Nothing happened. The girl just tilted her head awkwardly and shook her arm, wondering if anything would happen at all. "Ugh, what a useless piece of crap. I don't even know why I took it now." She pulled the ring off wondering what to do with it.
The waves crashed against the pier's railing as she leaned out. She sighed and contemplated what exactly she could do.. Pawn it maybe? No, that's cheesy and what if she finds out and buys it back? Scrunching her nose up, Hana sat down on a nearby bench and thought, flipping the ring on her fingers as though it were a coin.

Cal slipped out of the school using that weird passage thing she found a while back but never found a point in until she realized, well shit, there's security and she can't exactly strut out "like yeah." She slipped between people and made her way to an empty spot on the pier only to see she had to share it with someone else who seemed to be as fucking bored as she was, "Yo." No harm in making a friend.

Hana looked up from her contemplation, "Sup." She shook her hair free to make it look a bit messy.
Strange girl though, bright pink hair, a septum too. Wonder what she can do... she thought, crossing her right leg over her left. Hana never really met any other 'gifteds' when she was out working. Yeah, she may have explored the underworld of criminals and was labeled "The Demon," but she had only come into contact with like what, maybe ten gifteds at most. All of who were quite ridiculously weak.
The dark haired girl stood up, stretching a bit. She looked down at the ring again and shrugged, "Huh, guess I won't need this at all." Holding it in her fist, Hana leaned back and lifted her leg, making a pitcher's pose. "RAGH!!" she yelled as she threw the ring into the crashing waves, watching the ring plunk into the water.
