Here at Oceanside, we would like you all to create new threads for new events, instead of replying to old threads. This will help keep things organized, especially with threads that are active over the course of more than one sitting. There is no wordcount, but we do encourage lengthy posts. You don't have to write a novel, but one-liners are not okay. Try to post at least one solid paragraph. An ideal post would be 2-3 paragraphs. Your character can be in as many 'liquid time' threads as you like (liquid time meaning one person can post at 10am monday, the next person at 7pm monday, and the first person again at 2pm tuesday, etc.), but keep in mind that it's hard to keep track if you have a hundred threads. Personally, I'm not fond of being in more than three or four threads. Thread trackers are helpful in keeping track of your and other character's threads. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this, or PM me! Thanks!

Wait, what? What do you mean create new threads for new events? Do you mean if there is a birthday party at the beach, we create a birthday party event, but if there is nothing special going on, we just post at the good ol' beach?

Whenever you go to the beach you'd make a new thread. So yes, you'd make a birthday party thread, but if you and TK, for example, were just hanging out at the beach, you'd create a new thread for that, too. That way if someone else wanted to hang out at the beach, you wouldn't have to be in the same thread. Does that make more sense?

Yeah, but wouldn't it make the board more crowded? I mean, wouldn't it be more realistically if you saw someone at the beach?

Yes and yes, but if the board is in liquid time, it might make things difficult and awkward. And we have the Graveyard board, so when you're done with a thread, it can be moved there. We're just going to try this for a bit and see how it works out.
