She smiled sitting next to him. A small shrug. "It was pretty bad..Im glad to be here surprisingly" She said with a light smile. "How was it since I was gone?I know about Logan" She said.

"Uhm, it's been nothing special really. School is the same despite the unfortunate Logan incident," Tobias explained. He stretched his arms out in front of him, let out a sigh, and leaned back into a comfortable position.
"Anything new with you?" Tobias asked with a look of curiosity. It had been a while since he'd talked with Artemis. "Why are you up so late?" TK followed his first question with another.

Artemis nodded. "Well classes were alright for me..nice schedule at least"S he said brushing her hair from her face.
"Well I found out I was adopted"S he said now anwsering his other question. "Couldnt really sleep...was wondering when I was going to talk to you. " She said looking at her slippers.

"Adopted? That's pretty heavy news," Tobias replied, astonished. "How are you taking it?"
Tobias shifted to face Artemis. He wondered if she was okay.

"Yes..pretty heavy" She said. "And Im taking it alright..better If I didnt know they were heroes" She said looking at im. "Not saying thats a bad thing..I just with they would have been normal"
She looked at Tobias in the eyes...There was something she needed to get off her mind already knowing the answer...

"Heroes? That's pretty cool in my opinion," Tobias said, trying to cheer Artemis up a bit. She seemed distracted and slightly unhappy.

She nodded. "Yes It is..." She smiled looking back up to him.
"Tobias" She sighed. "What happened in the Blub?" She asked looking down to the ground.I fell on your face...She thought in her head...She figured it was just on impulse or something.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Tobias asked confused. He didn't remember anything happening. He scratched his arm and raised an eyebrow at Artemis.

Artemis looked blankley at Tobias. "Tobias...at the blub"S he repeated herself...she didnt want to keep repeating it. She sighed closing her eyes. "You kissed me" She looked up to him pressing her lips to a line.

"I did? I don't remember that at all," Tobias admitted. He tapped his chin in thought. "I remember... being pushed and sort of falling on you, but I don't remember a kiss," Tobias said as he searched his memories.
I remember kissing Lyra, Tobias thought, but he wasn't going to tell Artemis.
"Did that really happen?" he asked Artemis, giving up.

Artemis looked at him. She soon looked away with a sigh. She sort of stayed silent. Hearing her tea beep she stood up and took it out holding it in her hands staying in the kitchen. "No..." She whispered ti herself. "Just me.."
Artemis soon came back and sat on the couch next to him. "I got you didnt I" She said with a fake smile. "I was kidding..." She said sipping her tea and looking away. Smooth move there Art...smooth She inhaled refraining from letting her eyes get puffy. "we didnt kiss..you just fell on me.that was all"

Tobias waited for Artemis to return. "You did get me!" Tobias laughed. He hadn't realized that she was pulling a prank on him. "I thought you were serious," he told her, smiling.
"What are you drinking?" Tobias asked.

Artemis sighed...She was glad she was a good liar at least. "Yeah hehe...I fooled you" She tried laughing...but failed. That sounded fake.
"Im drinking tea" She responded. "So...Homecoming...yeah..." She said trying to change the subject..but WHY homecoming. "Got any one on mind?" She asked beating herself up for that.

Tobias looked at Artemis when she faked laughed. That sounded weird, Tobias thought.
"I haven't put a whole lot of thought into it yet," Tobias said lazily. He played with a fold in his shirt. "Did you get asked?"

Artemis pressed her lips to a line not looking to Tobias at all..
"Oh...you should think about it..girls like to know in advance..especially freaking ones..who need appointments for hair and get a dress"S he chuckled picturing it. "And me? Get asked...are you insane No one is gonna ask me..Im the evil awkward one remember" She said slihtly glancing up at him.
