As a young girl, Maria's powers confused her greatly, as she was not able to understand what was going on. Due to the nature of her abilities, Maria spent 14 years with Bhudist Monks to study and train. She came out of that time with a more open heart and open mind, and still practices what she learned there.
She remains a peaceful woman, young at heart, and old at mind, but she will be stern with her students when necessary.
