Working time. It was probably the best time of day for Aaron, when he got to enjoy the scene of Pizza Planet. The astronaut, space-like sounds (at least, that's how he described it as), smell of burnt pizza from the counter, the noise of kids squealing in the ball pit... it was god's greatest gifts shoved into one building. But nobody liked their place-of-work when actually working. Aaron did like working at Pizza Planet part-time and occasionally enjoyed free pizza- Pizza Planet wasn't in Nebraska.
He clocked in at the register and put on his red hat with the Pizza Planet logo. His boss told him to work the take-out window today but he would cover for his co-worker for the people wanting to sit-down at eat and pay for over-priced tokens.
"Welcome to Pizza Planet," Aaron grinned and greeted. This job was good for building... character, silly to say but it was true. Aaron had to initiate conversation at his job, even if it was a greeting. He never liked starting a talk but he got good practice out of it. Aaron took in the customer's order, saying it would be a 15 minute wait before their pizza would be ready. Maybe he would bring back a pepperoni and olive pizza after work today.

Saturday. What a swell day.
Even though it was summer, and the days of the week tend to lose their importance, Melrose always had a liking for Saturday. Good things happened for her on Saturday. It was her day of the week, ya know?
She sniffed her nose, fearing she might be coming up with something, and swung open the door of Pizza Planet. It reminded her of Chuck E. Cheese. Ew. That was kind of gross. Something about little kids running around without shoes or control just seemed icky to her. But nonetheless, she needed a job to make some money. She was saving up for a new pair of heels that she just had to have. Oh, who was she kidding? She was broke. Plus, Melrose didn't enjoy asking for money from back home, she was much more independent than that. She was going to make her own money. Even if that meant she'd have to work at "Kids Gone Wild".

Tobias walked into Pizza Planet feeling a bit hungry. He hadn't had any food to eat last night and now his craving for something delicious had returned. Moving through the sea of little children, Tobias made his way to the snack bar and waited for someone to help him.

Melrose wandered around, feeling terribly lost in this odd planet of a restaurant. Geez. She felt like such an idiot. She spotted a guy with what looked like the ratty-tat uniform hat. Perhaps he could help her out.
It was her first day on the job. Forgot to mention that. The fear and confusion was pulsating throughout every vein in her body. She felt like she should just turn around and book it out of this crazy fun ride. But quickly shutting the complaining out of her thoughts, Melrose forged onward, keeping her composure as well as bumping into a few kids as she made her way over to a fellow employee.
"Um excuse me? Sorry to bother, I'm new. I'm supposed to work today and no one has given me any directions or expectations of this place. I don't want to be a burden, but could you help me out?" She asked innocently. Geez. She hated being a burden.
However it was all true, no one had told her anything. Being hired just yesterday, the boss simply replied that she'd learn the ropes soon enough. Yeah, thanks a lot pal. It's tough to learn the ropes when you don't even give her ropes to climb.

Artemis made her way to Pizza planet. It was something she was craving after a while of Cafeteria food and the coffee shop. Even though she loved the coffee shop it was time for some Pizza. A small smile showed on the corners of her mouth as she saw the huge sign out said saying. 'Pizza Planet'. Her lips pressed to a line as the large sign spun slowly in a circle with the bright colors showing. It made her slighty dizzyy. Artemis opened the large doors as the lights were semi dim, but not really and parents were talking while there kids were off getting lost and having fun. It reminded her of an old movie where a family was happy and taking there kids out. Something that never happened to her.
Artemis made her way past different types of lines as she found a seat in the corner sort of in the dark. It was hard to find a dark place since it was early in the afternoon. But...it didnt stop her. She picked up a meanu wondering what to order as she sort of looked around. She knew they were hiring here but...Her working with kids and others just...didnt seem like a good idea.

Aaron looked over at Melrose- his face turning bright pink lightly. "Uh-" Aaron paused, he wasn't even sure what to do. He heard of a new girl, yes, but he was fairly new himself and his boss didn't give him any direction about helping out a new girl. "Umm, let me see if I can find somebody to help you..." Aaron sounded distant and he looked for his shift supervisor, "hold on," Aaron held up a finger to show he was busy. Aaron helped the customer and gave them a wait time. He looked back at Melrose, "I can't find Zach," Aaron said, giving the name of the shift manager, "and I don't want to give you misdirection so uh, wait here." oh god. He couldn't tell her what to do- he was just a pizza boy, nothing manager-related.

"Oh my god, thank you so much. You're a lifesaver." Melrose sighed with relief, clutching her chest while steadying herself. She had been so worried she wouldn't be able to find help. And then what would she have done? Geez. What an awful thought. If there was one thing Melrose couldn't stand it was screwing up, letting people down. This job at Pizza Planet was the first job she had ever had really and if she were to screw it up on the first day? Geez. Melrose would hold it against herself forever. She just would. She'd beat the crud out of herself. How embarrassing.
"I'm Melrose, by the way." she added with a smile. One should always be on good terms with fellow co-workers. That was obvious even to her.

A worker finally helped Tobias. The hungry boy ordered a pizza and a large soda. He probably couldn't eat a whole pizza, but one slice wouldn't be enough. Tobias stood off to the side and waited for his food.

"Aaron," Aaron replied to Melrose, his eyes briefly looking at her before going back to the register to give change back to the customer. "Have a great day, your pizza will be out shortly," Aaron said to him before turning back to Melrose. The neon pizza planet logo behind them started to flicker slightly. It wasn't noticeable, but the sudden twitch was weird. "So, first day here, huh?" he nodded slowly, "um, I'd help train you, but a manager has to help with the register," Aaron turned back around to make sure there were no customers coming. "But you can help greet them," yeah! Melrose would be good at that, "just say, 'welcome to pizza planet!'"

Artemis sneezed as she saw the waitress come to her table. She ordered a medium diet coke and a slice of pinapple pizza. "Yum" She gave the waitress back the menue. "Make sure its hot please" She said letting the waitress leave. She shook her head playing with the cheese container. Usually pizza came to her and it was cold...not this time it wouldnt be. She turned to thhe register as her eyes gazed around and saw Aaron talking to another girl. "I didnt know Aaron worked here" She said shrugging.

Tobias received his food. He carefully balanced the pizza in his arms as he gripped his soda tightly in his right hand. "Careful, careful," he whispered to himself. He danced around children as he made his way to an open table. He placed his pepperoni, black olives and extra cheese pizza on the table and looked around. "Why did I order this?" he asked himself. He noticed Artemis sitting alone. He wondered if she wanted to be alone, but decided she could always tell him to leave. Tobias picked up the pizza again and moved to her table. "Hello there," he smiled, trying to not drop anything.

Artemis saw her slice of pizza set down on her table. She realized after eating this she would be much more hunrgy later. She sighed a bit as she sipped her drink as her eyes once again scanned the area now only to see Tobias in front of her.Her eyes widened as she smiled a bit. "Wow..Hello "S he said nodding over to the seat for him to sit. "Didnt see you here...felt like pizza as well?" She asked with a smile taking a bite of her slice.

"Yeah, pizza sounded appetizing," Tobias replied, grinning at Artemis. He liked spending time with her. Sitting down, he pulled a few napkins out of the dispenser and picked up a piece of pizza. The greasy, warm food filled his mouth as he took a bite. "Wush up wiff yew?" he asked, still chewing on his food. Tobias quickly covered his mouth with a napkin and swallowed. "Sorry about that..." he muttered.

Artemis smiled as he sat down. She took another bite of her food as she smiled hearing TObias speak. She nodded trying to chew quickly. "Eh ish okey" SHe said as well swallowing her bite. She giggled at him sipping her soda,. "No worries" She smiled. And things are ok I guess...bored really Carson and Cora are like besties so..."S he shrugged.

Tobias nodded as Artemis spoke and continued eating his pizza. He gobbled it down quickly, took a swig of soda, then started on a new slice. "I didn't think I would see you here. You, kids, families, arcade games, crappy pizza.... Doesn't seem like they mix," Tobias rambled. He realized that she might misinterpret what he meant. "I don't mean to say that I'm unhappy to see you. It's nice surprise to meet with you here," Tobias clarified.
