Sunglee heard the familiar voice of a certain redhead and moved his arm just enough to watch her sit down. "Ah, I'm alright. I just...have some health issues. That's all. Nothing to worry about." He slowly sat up and leaned his head on the back of the couch. "How about you? You're cheeks look a little flushed." It actually made him feel a little better, having some company, especially the company of Daphne. It seemed they were spending quite a bit of time together.

Daphne smiled slightly, looking over at him. "Okay. Just making sure. You aren't looking so hot," She started. "I was out walking. Helps clear my head when I can't stop thinking. Otherwise I find it incredibly hard to sleep." She chuckled lightly, smiling. She didn't mind hanging out with Sunglee. He didn't care about her being smart, or even when she rambled. He was fun. She needed fun sometimes.

Sunglee nodded his head in understanding. "Well, by the looks of your cheeks and nose, it might be a bit cold out there." Sunglee pulled his legs up on the couch and hugged them. Sure, it wasn't exactly a very manly way to sit, but who ever said he was a manly kind of guy? "Is there anything bothering you? I can be a pretty good listener, even when it seems like I'm not listening at all." He smiled a cheeky smile. "But no really, I am a good listener." He mindlessly brushed at his pants with a hand, like they had been dirty. He was never good as sitting still.

Daphne smiled slightly, looking off to the side and staring off. "It was a little cold," She admitted, half smiling. "I'm okay... I just have trouble sleeping sometimes. Knowing the future is weird. A lot of the times there's nothing I can do to change anything. The future changes constantly. With every decision someone makes it affects the outcome of their future. Sometimes that future is... scary." She shifted now, pulling her knees to her chest.

Sunglee smiled and tilted his head a little. "Perhaps there's nothing you can do because that's just simply fate. I think that fate and future are two different things. Future can be hard to determine because, as you said, it changes all the time, because we are given paths that lead us to many different kind of futures, but the one we choose is fate. It may not be the happiest fate, but it's meant to be all the same." He suddenly started to laugh nervously and scratch at his head. "Oer, I'm sorry. I don't want to sound like I know more about it than you do, because I certainly don't. It is one of your abilities after all and..and..." He looked around awkwardly and set his chin between his knees. "And I'll just shut up now before I dig myself a deeper hole."

"No... that actually makes sense. I mean, I've never had a lot a faith in many things. The logical part of my brain refutes most of it. It's all statistics and numbers and odds, usually anything requiring any kind of faith doesn't make sense. But... that sort of does. On some level it makes sense," Daphne explained, smiling slightly. "Thank you. For that, I mean. I think it'll help."

A smile of relief overtook Sunglee's features and he reached over and gently patted her shoulder. "Well, I'm glad I could help you with my strange logic. Well, maybe not strange, but not many people understand me when I talk." He looked at his hand on her shoulder, then to her face, then to his hand again, and awkwardly pulled it back. "But it's nice to have someone understand. Though, I may not always make sense. Especially first thing in the morning. Words get slung together that should never meet when I first wake up. I disgrace English." He laughed a little bit. "Sometimes I even fuse English words and sentences with Korean ones." Sunglee got a sudden thought. "Uh hey, do you speak any other languages other than English?"

Daphne smiled, looking back Sunglee now. "I tend to go on about a lot of weird things when I get really tired or if I'm just waking up. It's like my brain has to finish rebooting. Too much information to process," She explained, chuckling lightly. "I defiantly understand the crazy talk. And yes, I do actually. French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, and Italian." she smiled, blushing and looking away. "Sorry... my smart is showing again."

Sunglee couldn't help himself. He stretched out both arms to her and made 'gimme gimme" motions with his hands when a nice pink hue painted her cheeks. "Oh you're just too cute! I wanna hug your head!" He was like a giddy child. "That's so cool though. That you speak so many languages. You can speak with others comfortably without either party struggling or feeling too awkward. Well, for the languages you speak anyways. But that is a lot. No reason to feel embarrassed over it. It's awesome." He suddenly yawned and couldn't stop himself from stretching. He had, for a moment, forgotten that he wasn't well, and should be resting. He stood, stumbling a bit, but stood nonetheless, and offered her his hand. "Come on, let's go before we get into trouble for being down here past curfew." He smiled lightly. Hopefully he'd be right as rain tomorrow.

Mia skipped down the stairs and looked around the empty common room. How sad, she had been hoping to maybe socialize a bit. The only people she had really talked to were her teachers, the librarian, her roommate, and of course her sister. She plopped down on a seat near the window and flipped to the page she had left on. Uncreasing the fold in the corner, as her bookmark had mysteriously disappeared once again, her eyes scanned over the page, transporting herself into the story. Reading was like sleeping, going into someone else's dream, except with books she got to choose whose head she went into and was able to get out a lot easier. Mia relaxed, leaned back, and continued reading. She was off into her own little world and totally oblivious of her surroundings.

Click here for the previous post"Derek. Listen to me. I am fine!" Olivia, pushed her brother back who was examining her arm. "You've been worrying too much, it's just a scrape. I tripped. Big deal..." Olivia was sitting in the commons, half against her brother's will. She wanted to relax for a moment, instead of hiding throughout the school as he made her do. It's been weeks since they last saw Richard, and a few weeks since they'd had social interaction. They've both been absent from school, instead Derek moving to hide with Olivia, and never wanting to leave her side. She understood his instinct, especially since she couldn't protect herself last time, but there was a point when it came to be too much. Like now. Derek frowed as Olivia pushed him back. He was scared for her, for every single moment that Richard wasn't dead. It didn't matter if he was gone, he was still out there. Everyone else thought differently, that he had given up or he starved, ever since his image was leaked to the media. Even with all the evidence Derek could not shake the feeling. "Olivia, you can't dismiss anything. You do that once an-" Olivia put her hand up and interrupted Derek. "I'm not dismissing it. In fact I'm taking it as serious as an injury like this should be taken. You however, seem to blow everything out of proportion. It's a small cut, not a gash in my chest or anything," she groaned. Sighing, Derek leaned back and took the seat across from her. "Sorry, it's just, I'm still scared. That asshole is out there somewhere, and I can't do anything about it. I mean I was given the power to fight, but this idiot went ahead and changed his reality to make himself unbeatable. What kind of higher power lets someone get away with that?" The reality did set in for both of them. It wasn't another bad guy, it wasn't another drama infested school rivalry. Derek and Olivia were fighting against a man, witht he powers on the level of a deity. They may be teenage superbeings, but they were no match against a god. Derek looked back at Olivia, and noticed they were both frowning. He moved over next to her, and put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, whatever happens, I won't let him win. I promise." Olivia looked up and smiled weakly. "I know." Derek nodded, and took her hand. "Come on, I hear Sabrina has a surprise for us." They moved toward the stairs, and made their way up to Sabrina's room. "Ugh... this sucks," Daphne groaned, pushing the books away from her. She laid her head on the desk and put her hands on the back of her head. After a moment she sat back up and closed the books before looking around. For a Tuesday evening it was pretty empty in here. It had been lately, though. She'd hardly seen anyone. No real reason why, that she knew of anyways. Everyone just sort of... disappeared lately.
She stood now and moved to one of the couches. She collapsed into it and stared off at a wall. She was in her usual jeans, skinny and dark blue. Paired with her converse and a v-neck tshirt. Fashion wasn't her favorite subject, to say the least. Simple was more her style. When things got too complicated they clouded her mind and made it harder to think.

Sighing heartily as he emerged from the staircase, Jamie turned up the volume on his DJ style Skull Kandy headphones. Completely oblivious to the seemingly exasperated female also occupying the room. Plopping his body onto the closest couch he groaned in a typical sulky way and turning to face the girl he nearly jumped out of his pale skin. "H-Hi...There...." He said tentatively removing the headphones to release the last few words of a new pop song.

Daphne had watched the guy, he was oblivious to her being there, which was a little amusing. She was smiling, watching him. Waiting for him to realize she was there. When he finally did she smiled wider and chuckling. "Hi there. Did I startle you?" She asked. She was apparently good at doing that. It was happening more and more lately. Even when she didn't mean to.

"Yeah Kinda...." He replied smiling as he got to his feet as he apparently fell off the couch during his little spaz-out. "Names Jamie, Jamie Ortega. Pleasure to meet you." He said as he walked over to her ad offered his hand to shake, He was almost positive he had never seen her around before.
