Vergil Valentin von Wulf
( The Basics )
( Full Name) Vergil Valentin von Wulf
( Nickname ) None he'd like to mention for they're from his parents.
( Age ) Fifteen.
( Birthdate ) July Thirty-First.
( Sex ) Male.
( Hometown ) Leipzig, Germany.
( Class ) Freshman.
( Sexuality ) Bicurious if not undecided; he definitely appreciates femininity and what is a woman but he's not exactly opposed to being with someone of his own gender.
( Played By ) Jamie Campbell Bower.
( Their Power)
( Ability ) Being told he was very in tune with the world around him, in touch with the human heart and what it feels, Vergil's been somewhat aware throughout his life that he wasn't very much like the people he encountered. Coming across an old tome containing something ancient within in his home's attic one afternoon proved suspicion correct; he is eternally connected to and controls a deck of tarot-like cards through means of channeling what he has come to call "Seele Energie." Each card is specified to a task, may it be the power of flame or the ability to summon a sword and shield.. though some are known to be temperamental and have a will of their own.
( Type of Power ) Manipulation.
( Weakness ) Being away from his deck regardless of the ability to ask it to come (it's not exactly trusting of him just yet), and any other human weakness.
( Good vs. Evil ) Neutral.
( Personality )
Shy, quiet, and very withdrawn, Vergil exists peacefully within his world. It's not a foreign sight to find him lost in his thoughts, staring upward at the sky, or napping in the strangest places. Some would call him "quirky." He was brought up studious and remains to this day such a young man, putting his studies above all, even sleeping and most of the time, eating.
Vergil is empathic on some level. When in elementary and middle school, he was sought out by classmates to settle disputes peacefully, to talk to, or simply for the company. He doesn't mind being the person who is vented to instead of the other way around; most of the time, he has little to vent about for as a young man, he has yet to live his life and truly taste its bitter qualities.
He's neat, orderly, efficient, and sweet most always.

( Little Details )
( Strengths) Vergil is hardworking, has respect for himself and others, is very ambitious, and resilient. He's been brought up by his parents to be self motivated in all matters that are involved with moving forward in the world or in matters that are related to the improvement of himself as a person. His learning agility, due to his photogenic memory, is very keen and also helps him can adjust to changes and new situations. When necessary, he can be aggressive, cold, and unattached.
As an amiable person, he's supportive, patient, and takes the time to consider things from the perspective of others.
( Weaknesses ) At times, Vergil falls into trusting others far too easily, giving him sufficient blindness to their true nature as a human though the portion of him that is empathic is not fooled nor is his deck and those that reside within it. Another "flaw," or something someone night consider one, is that he can be a dreamer.
Speaking about senses, he has a sensitive nose which leads him to suffer headaches should he be exposed to scents like very strong perfumes; aside from it all however, he has a relatively low opinion of himself and a lack of confidence that can only be balanced with successes, like an average boy his age.
( Dark Secrets) When he unlocked the tome be accident in the attic, he refused the responsibility thrusted upon him even though he was bound it from his core and sometimes still cannot believe in his power. Something he doesn't know however, his mother's been sleeping with his father's sister… she realized after many years of a happy marriage she's a lesbian.
( Reputation ) If others were asked about him, most would likely reply "he's quiet." Those who know him find him pleasant, kind, and a little hard to understand with his accents but it gets easier with being around him more. He's the kind who offers his services where he can while maintaining a sense of self preservation.
( Family)
( Mother ) Viola von Wulf (was Viola Nacht). 36. Nurse.
Viola loves her son dearly and coddles him even now; she calls him "Balto" because as a young child, Vergil enjoyed the film very much so and she found it endearing.
( Father ) Nikolaus Ianos von Wulf. 39. Doctor.
Nikolaus loves his family more than anything else in the world and Vergil is his pride and joy. There isn't anything he wouldn't give his son and he was the first to offer his support when Vergil found himself locked into a position of responsibility. He always thought something would come about and was constantly watchful of his son, being an empathic man himself, for the von Wulf family has spouted many people equipped with abilities for generations.
( Siblings ) Only child.
( Any Other) Alastair. Age unknown. Sentient spirit of the tome; manifested post-bonding.
Alastair was the one to assist Vergil through learning how to handle his ability; he appears only when desperately needed and at times, when bored, since he's relieved his his duty of seeking a wielder.
( Belongings )
( Car ) N/A
( Phone ) Dual-band Nokia 8880: Handy's in Europe run on the GSM (Global System for Mobile communications), so he had to get rid of it when coming to America since American standards run on CDMA, TDMA, PCS, and the like. He opted for a simple dual-band T-Mobile Nokia 8880 so he could use his wireless phone in both the US and European GSM networks.
( Music ) Silver 16GB iPod nano, engraved with his name
( Anything Else) A small assortment of books, his MacBook Pro (15") to communicate with his family regularly, and a sketchbook (along with the obvious and necessary supplies)
(Sample)
“Do you know what to do?”
“Ja, Alastair, ve haff been throogh the mo-sions aht least mohr than ee-nuff now.” Vergil responded with a weary undertone. For what seemed like an hour, maybe even a greater amount of time, Alastair had been standing beside him going through what he had to do to unlock a card and this cycle had been going on for days upon days. It had taken Vergil a little over month’s time to come to terms with being bound to false tome containing a deck of tarot-esque cards; he had not been able to accept the responsibility or grasp the fact that he now had to become a “wielder,” or whatever it was the trottel mentor of his spouted.
Alastair brought himself up to his full height and crossed his arms over his chest firmly, eyes settling over Vergil as he spoke, “Fine. You are so sure you have it? Do it.” He smiled within the confines of his mind. If there was one thing he now knew about the young boy in front of him, it was that he had to goad him into thinking he didn’t believe he could do it and make him irked to help him push through the constrictions of uncertainty.
“Ich werde Ihnen zeigen...” Vergil hissed lowly as he unwrapped the onyx beads that were settled around his neck thrice. He pulled them apart at arms length vertically before him and slid his hands clockwise as if unlocking a giant key while maintaining the length apart, beads now a taut double strand in front of him. Dangling from three beads on one side was a silver trinity knot gleaming under the little light they had. Vergil took his time in going through the actions knowing very well that Alastair’s stare followed every movement he made now.
"Durch alle die Macht der drei mal drei,
dieser Zauber gebunden Runde werden,
um kein Schaden verursachen, noch auf mich zurück.
Wie ich will, so Mote es sein!"
The three hanging beads dropped to the floor and left the trinity knot suspended, two sliding to the back and one scurrying forward to form an implied triangle; lines of molten silver bled from the beads and sped toward one another to connect and affirm the implicit symbol and continued to bleed out into an intricate Triscele until it was all but an imprinted, glinting summoning ground. Vergil watched as the center formed last and a strand of blazing silver shot up to caress the trinity knot suspended still, turning it into a ring which he slipped his right middle finger into as it finished. Alastair all the while clapped, a grin of victory stretching his pale, pink lips, “You’re ready.”
All Vergil could do was nod, his tongue lost and body thrumming with energy, a sensation of foreign power.
[Note: Aside from formal summoning there is a quicker method to fall into the summoning circle by means of panic, the necessity of battle, an always ready mode, and the like. :3]“Ja, Alastair, ve haff been throogh the mo-sions aht least mohr than ee-nuff now.” Vergil responded with a weary undertone. ( Vergil's Deck )
( Casing )There's a leather case that can be attached to his pants, closed with a strong magnet, or a tome where he discovered the deck to be which only he can open- unlike the case. The cards, though they do not mind the case, much prefer their original home to the purchased one.
The tome is a decent sized, black book with a thick almost skeletal spine. It's shut with unnecessary bindings: cross-like leather strips wrap around two silver rings at each side that hug the tome neatly while rings at the top and bottom serve as a place for the carrying strap to latch on to. The bindings are really just for convenience so the tome can be carried about easier.
( The Cards )
Name and First Appearance: Flug
Description: Flug is a seven foot tall, and thin albino woman- flesh as alabaster as fresh, powdered snow. She has long, milky hair that becomes feathers the last few feet down as well as typically gentle, crimson eyes. Her clothes are sheer pearl dressings that sit comfortably upon her and allow her easy movement as well as more freedom for her wings as they have to fit through the cloth. Flug is one of a handful of cards that trust Vergil completely.
Trusts Vergil? Yes.
When merged: At the moment when Vergil is merged with Flug, he takes on her eyes, her hair, and her wings.
Name and First Appearance: Der Beschütze
Description: Der Beschütze is another tall, almost amazonian woman- her height matching Flug's at seven feet. She has a stern face in place most of the time as well as a helmet. Full, glossy lips thin and glittering golden eyes, she's "The Protector." Her outfits consists of a bronze and ornately carved half-breastplate with matching tassets that hang from her hips, and from under it, spills a sheer fabric of a matching hue. Brown, leather ankle and wrists cuffs decorated with pieces of dangling bronze trinity knots complete the ensemble though they're not always present- sometimes leg and arm armor taking its place. Aside from being adept in physical defense, she's often equipped with a halberd she can wield well.
Trusts Vergil? Yes.
When merged: -
Name and First Appearance: Die Wässrige Eine
Description: Pale, lucid blue flesh, Die Wässrige Eine is a woman with large, expansive flippers for arms that may become arms should she need them though she's quite comfortable as she is. Shy, quiet, of average human size, and a luminescent, almost Lapis lazuli-like mermaid's tail flipping below- she's a gentle, elemental card with the ability to control and manipulate water as well as freeze it, disperse into mist, and so on. Though she's soft spoken and looks to the other elemental cards for direction, she's as fierce as a tempest under pressure.
Trusts Vergil? No.
When merged: At the moment when Vergil is merged with Die Wässrige Eine, he gains her tail and the ability to breathe underwater. No control over water at all as of yet however.
(This will be edited as I make pictures for the cards and as he slowly gains the trust of his entire deck.)
