Derek entered, the shop, popping a pill to stifle the pain he had. He was on a mission here, to finally grab a guitar. He'd had the money for at least year, but never had anywhere to store it. Now it was time.
Moving over the guitar section, he browsed through, trying to decide. Debating between electric and acoustic, he decided to grab an acoustic. The amps were too expensive for him anyways. Pausing over a guitar, he suddenly knew this is what he wanted. An Ibanez Acoustic-Electric, Artwood series. Pausing to feel the body, he soon lifted it up and took a seat nearby to play.
Nodding his head in rhythm Derek loved the way it played. Putting the display model back in the rack, he made his way to the register, grabbing a pack of thin picks, before pointing out the guitar he had chosen.
The owner, who looked like he was the drummer for some grunge band in the 90s nodded, and brought out the guitar. He also gestured to a small set of cases, saying these were some old ones he was gonna throw out. Offering them for free, Derek chose a black case, and after paying thanked the man for his service. Leaving the store, Derek had a smile on his face, and made his way back to the school.
