Cal had gotten up a while ago to shower and all that good stuff then talk to her mum while she got dressed in the room where her roomie was still out. She hiked the purse on her shoulder a little higher and found, amongst all the other stores, The Bat Boutique. That sounded attractive.
Going in, she saw it was pretty much Hot Topic with a different name. The store was a very good size and they had a bit of a darker feel than HT, or at least, that's what she was getting with the shrunken heads that knocked together with hollow clonks after the door shut. Fuck yeah, I can totally live here weekends... She waved to the cute chick with the snake bites working at the counter and went about looking through the clothes and makeup.

Cal leaned over the counter as the cute cashier, Hope, rang her up. She eyed her snake bites and wondered if she was a good kisser then broke the silence since the initial "found everything okay? / yeah, totally" small talk was over.
"How long have you worked here?" Cal licked her lips to taste her raspberry lip gloss, drawing Hope's attention to her mouth for a few seconds.
"Eh... half a year, give or take. The boutique's pretty new actually - not even a year old." Hope gave the pink haired girl a shrug and looked at her lips again for a bit, then rang up the next item, some really neon green nail polish, "You live around here?"
Cal smirked inwardly though outwardly she had a bit of a pout. Asking an obvious question was a general first sign of being flustered, "Yeah, just moved a bit ago for school. I'll go back home during the summer."
"Boarding school type shit?" Hope guessed it was that secretive, hush-hush place not too far away.
"Yeah. It's all good though, I like the city so far. If there weren't any attractive girls like you around, I'd probably move back." Cal gave a grin as she smoothly dealt her reply and gave the slightest flutter of her long eyelashes, eyeing Hope from her position at the checkout counter.
Hope cleared her throat a little and read her the total, Cal taking the receipt in hand as well as her bags. Before she could leave however, the cashier stopped her, "My number's on the back of the receipt.. if you're free anytime," so the pink haired senior looked over her shoulder and gave her a flirty wink, a "we'll see," and left.
