Chris sighed and put down his new Edgar Allen Poe book. His mom was driving him to the first day of school. It was his last year of high school and he couldn't wait until he could get out of this town. He had been waiting for this day since he moved here six years ago.
"I wonder what's gonna happen this year?"
He said as he got out of the car. His mom told him to have a nice day and be careful then she sped off. He rolled his eyes while putting his iPod in his ears and walked towards the front office. He smiled when he started thinking of high school because he connected high school to one of his best friends Natalia. He didn't see her very much over the summer so he was excited to see her again. He got his schedule for the year and then went to the back of the school and sat on the bench that him and his friends had claimed as theirs since no one was ever over their. They were the only ones that went anywhere near that bench. And somehow no matter what time or day, if you needed someone they would always be at the bench. That was the easiest way to find people.
