Chess has what most people would describe as tawny hair. It is a color of mostly blond and light brown, cut into layers. It is naturally wavy and falls just below her shoulders. Her bangs are swept to either side as she is convinced that it looks better like that. Not very often will you see her hair being left untouched--when in public, she will always put it up in some kind of style, usually a scruffy ponytail (due to the layers) or clipped up where the majority of her hair is cast up and flowing over like a fountain. The only real time it's down is when she's just woken up and needs to sort out the mess of tangles. Not often does she straighten it or curl it; she likes it in the middle as it is.
EYES • Most people would consider her eyes to be dark gray, a little like a stormy day with thunder and lightning. Her irises are darker around the pupils, but lighter around the outsides, a little like a gradient. Most often they are veiled with innocence and polite friendliness, though when she's with those who she can trust, her "other side" comes out. This other side hold a darker overall color and also a permanent smirk in them, keeping with her reputation.
POWER(S) • Telekinesis; although she has the power to manipulate anything, she sticks to steel/metal threads. Very rarely will she choose to manipulate other objects as it will drain her of energy. She has to be accustomed to the material/object to be able to manipulate it.
Creation; Along with manipulation of objects, as a minor, undeveloped power, Chess has the ability to change the shape of objects using the principle of alchemy--one mass for another. She can't change the state of the object, but bending/distorting the object is nothing to her.
BUILD/BODY • Tall and lanky is how Chess is built. It is as if she was built for dexterity and grace rather than strength and power. Her legs, arms and even fingers are long, aided by the fact that she plays piano. Even so, she has an hourglass figure, much to her parent's delight.
PHYSICAL CONDITION • Moderate; she doesn't do much physical sport due to her powers
CLOTHING •
Chess's ideal style of clothing is either one of two categories: showy or simple. Depending on her mood, she will wear either style. Usually when in school, she'll stick to the simple stuff like jeans, hoodies and converse, leaning more to the cooler, darker colors such as dark blue, indigo, dark red and the occasional green. She has a seemingly large collection of hoodies and an equal collection of dresses, skirts and garments of that sort. Whenever Chess feels the need for some spice, she will chose the second half of her wardrobe, where things that her schoolmates would usually never think of reside. As always, her color choices are the same, however she does own brighter colored dresses of both elegant and skanky outfits.

CHESS - OVERALL •
Never once will you find Chess with too many people close to her at once. She tends to distance herself from others--even if it seems like she's being a friend. She will almost never tell the truth about herself or even reveal much about herself, if ever. She has a belief in secrecy and is convinced that it is her downfall if ever her weaknesses were found out. Her view on life is that it is a game, a game that she has played, using up pawns and sending them to the graveyard. It has happened before, she never regretted it. As a normal girl, she will either rant hell out, or keep her mouth shut stonily, it all depends on if she has an "evil plan" or not. Chess doesn't tend to trust people easily and has yet to find someone that she can completely trust, who knows what will happen then...?

HISTORY •
Has been, will be. Although her parents were hero sympathizers, Chess had never felt the same as they had. In fact, her whole family--including her older brother James--were hero sympathizers. Chess was the black lamb of the flock. She could never understand what her parents saw in those people. Nevertheless, she played along, acting the sweet baby sister that her whole family needed and all the while learning her father's gift of telekinesis. That was what had gotten her into threads.
See, little Chess had a fascination with dolls. She liked to talk to them, cuddle them, repair them, pull them apart. She would do anything. She loved playing with puppets, pulling the strings, cutting them and watching them die--all the while repairing these toys so that her family could never guess what she was doing. As she grew up, Chess began to take a different perspective, often contradicting in her mind what her family gushed about the heroes. She had her first "accident" when she was twelve. Chess liked to take walks. Long walks. Her parents trusted her to be safe alone and therefore never bothered with her; they knew that she could rely on her telekinesis for protection. It so happened that a drunk came by and tried to attack her. Let's say that he was turned into a lifeless puppet.
So since then, she has done that to a person or two. Mind you, even now she has an interest in puppets. Now that she's transferred to Oceanside (all the way across America) she's looking for a "team" of people.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE • The weather was absolutely lovely, the sun was out and the sky was cloudless. A perfect day, really.
Not. Chess hated it. Hated the sun, the way it emitted heat, heat that was good for nothing. The only good thing the sun did for her was to darken her complexion. She looked better that way, especially since she ways blonde. Glaring stonily at the sun, she slipped out of the door once more; a perfect day to find more puppets to play with.
But where were they all? Chess smiled in a childish way; this was going to be fun! Hide and seek with puppets. Maybe today would be better than she'd have thought. Detroit was such a big city, where should she start first?
