Power Leech: Power Leech: Nathan's gift can can save someone or kill them, whichever he so chooses. Nathan can nullify the powers of others who are close in his proximity. The range depends on how many gifted people are around. If he was in Oceanside's cafeteria, full of students, the range will only be close to him. But if he is in the cafeteria and there are three other powered-kids far away from him, he can reach them. Nathan cannot control his powers. Only occassionaly he can chose when he can use his negate powers. Hopefully by the time of graduation, Nathan can control his powers. Physical effects can also occur when he uses his power leeching. If Nathan nullifies the power of a pyro, they will become cold. Just as if he nullifies the power of someone who controls ice, they will be hot. Or someone with superstrength, frail and thin. Nathan does not absorb these powers, they simply disappear. Whether or not Nathan can remove the powers completely is not determined at his stage in life and the times of weakened powers or no powers at all differ in time lapse.

Power Sense: Nathan can sense the presence of other gifted people. Not only can he sense their presence, but what their powers too.

( Personality )

Nathan acts as a boy his age: immature, loud, dumb in social areas. Unfortunately Nathan is not normal, therefore he doesn't act completely like a boy his age. Nathan is slightly sadistic. When he can (sometimes cannot) control his powers, he loves it. Nathan loves the expression of anger and confusion someone gets when they realize their powers are not intact. It makes him laugh. He doesn't mind that he can't control his powers, he finds it like a present. Something new every time and it's unexpected.

( Little Details )

( Strengths)[/color] Nathan embraces that he cannot control his powers. He sees it as a development and not a weakness. Nathan sees no problem in spontaneous occurences. Nathan laughs a lot and finds enjoyment in anything (except his claustrophobia) so "emo" tendancies are rare.
( Weaknesses )[/b][/color] One of Nathan's many weakness, one of the biggest, is his superiority complex. His power is like a taste of total control amongst people that cannot typically be controlled- it's unusual, it's unique, and he is completely un-shy and more than a little proud of it. He relishes in it and the complex above the gifted blinds him to common sense and humble qualities that make a stable person.
( Dark Secrets)[/color] When Nathan was 13 (just last year, in the 8th grade when his powers were discovered), Nathan had a strong feeling that something was different about one of his classmates. That confusion in his head was the start of his power sensing. Nathan's mind burned and he couldn't focus on his algebra work. He slept through class that day after telling the teacher he did not feel good. He dreamed of fire coming out of his classmate's hand like a devil. After school that day, Nathan missed the bus. Across the street of school he saw that same kid pick on a sixth grader. Did Nathan's dream become a nightmare? Nathan could not let that kid get picked on, he did nothing wrong (from what Nathan knew, in reality, what happened was that the boy who was being threatened with fire dumped milk on the firekid's head) and Nathan was determined to stop. He wasn't afraid of a burn. He touched a candle before, he didn't die. Nathan crossed the street and pushed flame-boy who was getting mad, the flame increased as Nathan started to yell but then the fire flickered out, nothing. Nathan continued to yell at the boy for threatening the kid with fire, not letting the other one speak. He kicked him. Flame-boy was left defenseless. Nathan never saw pyro boy use his powers again, even in secrecy. It was the first time Nathan used his powers (now rather it was his choice or not, he was not sure) and the first and only time he rid of someone's powers. However, Nathan does not know that Pyrokid's power came back, one year after that day.
( Reputation )[/color] Nathan is an incoming freshman, so nobody knows anything about him.

( Family)

( Mother )[/color] Sandy Chase, 35, trainer at Sea World. Nathan is on good terms with his mother. There is nothing to complain about. There will be an occasional argument about going out and not doing homework, but in the end he loves his mom and she loves him. Sandy is still confused about his "gift" and she was reluctant to send him across the country to a school. But it was for the best of him so she did so.
( Father )[/b][/color] Tom Terry Jr., 34. Plumber. Tom and Nathan are on good terms. On Tom's days off, they play catch and video games together. Tom tries to spend as much time with Nathan as possible because he never spent enough time with his father and regrets it. Tom does not want Nathan to live through that regret.. if he felt it. Tom understands Nathan's ability. Tom has a super power himself, he controls water. Tom is trying to convince his wife to try and transfer to the Sea World in California so they can be closer to Nathan.

( Any Other)[/b][/color] Taima and Malia: Taima and Malia were/are orcas at Sea World. Because his mother trained him, he got to see Ocras up close (but not too up close). Nathan favored Taima and he especially liked her when she was pregnant. There was something amazing about a pregnant whale. Nathan was heartbroken when Taima died while giving birth but fell in love with Malia quickly. Sadly he had to leave the baby Orca to go to school.

"We love you Nathan, never forget that," the kind words of Sandy warmed Nathan's heart and she kissed his forehead. Nathan did not pull away this time, he did not yell "ew" and he was not embarrassed. Nathan fought tears, he did not want to be away from his parents as much as he did not want to admit. Nathan always expected to leave home for college, not for high school. It was weird having to start over. Meet new friends and forget the ones back at home... but change was nice, yes? Here he would learn more about his powers, more about himself and he looked forward to see what he could do.

Nathan's eyes widen, his head started to feel dizzy, a rush of information... his brain was crowded. This place could not be good for him, his mind was going to explode! There were roughly 15 people with powers in the parking lot. Powers ranging from fire control to mind reading. He focused on his breathing to calm himself down. This was overwhelming. He never witnessed so many powers in one area before. He would hate to see what it was like inside the school. "I love you, Mom, I love you Dad," Nathan hugged his parents goodbye before they left.
