Mattheus Wong is a young boy. Not yet a man, no longer a child. He is searching for his place in the world and wants to find his soul-mate. Mattheus is usually good in nature, comical, and happy-go-lucky. At times, usually over the most trivial things, Mattheus gets really mad. Mattheus loves a good joke and is a reliable friend. He tries his best to be everyone's friend. Mattheus plays piano and isn't against breaking a few rules. After all, who doesn't like breaking things? Mattheus is one of the "good" guys. Mattheus stayed quiet as he followed his parents into the Oceanside Administration Office. He didn't want to go to this new school. His friend Josh was still back in Reno...back home. Mattheus lowered his eyes and hid behind his mom as his parents loudly talked with the person working in the office. A loud box fan created a lot of noise and a lot of moving air, but the chilled air did nothing to Mattheus. Wind, snow, rain, intense sunlight; none of it affected him. Sighing, Mattheus raised his head to look at his mom. He nodded 'yes' to her and followed her to another room. Someone new to meet. Nod head, shake hands, introductions. It was always the same stuff when Mattheus met a new school related person. Mattheus didn't want to go here. He wanted to go home.
Mattheus let out another sigh as he silently listened to the conversation. Meal plan... room assignment... forbidden room... ethical use of powers.... None of it interested Mattheus. Maybe he could finally find a girl here! Mattheus hadn't considered that possibility. At his old school, all the girls knew him as "That-kid-that-plays-piano." No one wanted to date a pianist in middle school. New school. New chances. A new hope.
