(Me? Go to Hogwarts? Nah, just a little cosplay fun =P)
Benjamin James Dubois
( The Basics )
( Full Name) Benjamin James Dubois
( Nickname ) Ben is preferred, though he will respond to Benjamin or Benny
( Age ) 18
( Birthdate ) May 2
( Sex ) Male
( Hometown ) Montreal, Quebec
( Class ) Senior.
( Sexuality ) Ben will go after anyone he finds attractive, no matter the gender.
( Played By ) Alfred Enoch
( Their Power)
( Ability ) Sound Mimicry: By hearing someone talk, or an animal growl or even a vase crashing on the floor, Ben is able to repeat that sound/voice whenever he chooses. All he has to do is think of which voice he would like and start talking. For other noises, like a guitar playing, all Ben needs to do is open his mouth and the sound will play.
( Type of Power ) Physical
( Weakness ) Ben has no voice of his own, so he must use one of the pre recorded voices to speak (his usual one is the voice of his childhood friend, so no one here should recognize it). And, of course, if he can‘t open his mouth, he can‘t use his power.
( Good vs. Evil ) Neutral
( Personality )
To fully understand why Ben is who he is, one has to look at his best friend Luis. Luis was everything Ben is not; cool, collected, always knows what to say, charming. The list goes on. Teachers and parents always compared the two friends, agreeing that Luis was the more promising one. After hearing such things, Ben grew rather self conscious and began working on making himself able to standout next to Luis.
What Ben became is hard to define. He was loud and outgoing, kind to others and an attention hog. Any moment when he wasn’t under the teachers gaze, Ben was talking to someone or doing something. It was his own little game growing up; to see how many times he could get the teacher to yell. Though Ben wasn’t a trouble maker, he just liked talking to friends. Of course, ninety percent of the time, these conversations were pleasant. Ben is nice to everyone, no matter how much they bother him. He just wants to be liked. And even though Ben likes being in the centre of things, he is happy to go along with the flow. As long as he isn’t doing the hard work, like planning a party, Ben is a happy camper; content with sitting on the sidelines and offering encouragement and enthusiasm. All these traits combined often make Ben hear things like “Are you gay?” “You‘re gay.” “Are you and Luis dating?” To these questions, Ben replies with “What do you think?” He tries not to care what people think about him, but negative comments usually cause Ben to freeze.
But this personality is usually what strangers see; close friends get to meet the “real Ben”. He is much quieter and enjoys just hanging out. This is also the part of Ben that expresses what he feels, instead of just being happy-go-lucky all the time.

( Little Details )
( Strengths) Ben is able to communicate with people. He takes the time to listen to them and their problems, and help them find out what they want. Communicating with others is also easier when you know two languages, as Ben does. English is his first language and has French as a second.
( Weaknesses ) Ben has very low self esteem. Having to be around his confident, “perfect” friend caused this. Ben also has troubles with showing people how he really feels about them. Sure, he’ll be nice to everybody, but the people he truly likes often don’t realize they mean a lot to Ben. Ben is also a follower; he doesn’t make decisions for himself and is prone to peer pressure.
( Dark Secrets) Ben doesn‘t have dark secrets; he never really had a chance to get one.
( Reputation ) Just that he is a rather loud new student.
( Family)
( Mother ) Sally Dubois, 42, nurse.
The single mother and her son are very close. She put her dreams on becoming a nurse on hold to raise her son. Ben tries to help his mother out whenever he can, trying to make up for lost schooling. Sally doesn‘t mind that her son has powers, Ben is still her baby no matter what.
( Father ) Unknown.
All that Ben knows about his father is that he and Sally had a one night stand while she was in college, and that he, Ben, was the result.
( Siblings ) None.
( Any Other) Luis Pelletier, 18.
Luis and Ben were the best of friends growing up; they did everything together. When they were about eight, and going through the superhero phase, Luis was the first to realize Ben had powers. Ben wasn’t even sure he had powers at the time, he just knew he was different.
Leaving Luis was the hardest thing Ben ever had to do. The two were close and depended on each other. They were best friends, lovers (at one point) and brothers in everything but blood.
The two don’t keep in touch. Ben knew that if certain people (he’s not exactly sure who) found out about his powers, they could go after Luis to get to get to him. So seeing as Ben can't be with Luis, he is open to getting new relationships.
( Belongings )
( Car ) None.
( Phone ) Apple iPhone. (he spent forever and a half trying to save for this)
( Music ) See above.
( Anything Else) Just normal stuff like clothes.
(Sample)
Like any normal Sunday afternoon, 17 year old Ben greeted Mrs. Pelletier then made his way up the twisted stairs and down the hallway. He stopped at the third door on the left, and knocked twice, a pause, then two more knocks. Something thudded against the door, and then Ben walked into Luis’ room. The secret knock, combined with throwing something at the door, was the method the boys used to enter each other’s room. This tradition started when the boys went through their porn magazine phase, and were constantly trying to hide them from parents.
The only greeting Ben gave as he walked into the room was a sigh. Luis ignored him completely, sitting on his bed and reading a book. Ben gave another sigh, and went over to his friend, crawling onto the bed. He lay on his stomach, head by Luis crossed legs and gave yet another, over exaggerated sigh. This time Luis looked up.
“Yes?” He asked a rather bored look on his face. Luis was used to this sort of thing from Ben.
Ben looked up, meeting Luis’ gaze. He has such pretty eyes. To bad no one can ever see them with all the hair in his face. God that boy needs a haircut. But Luis has such soft, shiny hair… Ugh, he’s so perfectly imperfect. Look at his face, he’s beautiful. Too bad he can‘t see it… Wait, pull yourself together Ben, he asked you a question. Hurry up and respond or he’ll think your slow minded. “Umm, uh, I love you?” Ben stuttered, big grin on his face. He had honesty forgot what he had planned on saying; Luis had that effect on him.
“Uh huh, love you too Benny-Boy,” Luis said in return. It wasn’t unusual for the two to say it, even after they decided to cal their short lived romance off. “Say, why don’t we go down to the skate park today? I got this new board and…” Luis began, setting his book aside. Ben listened intently, happy to go along with whatever Luis had planned.
