IHOP looks like really any other breakfast place. There is a lot of blue, and it is much more crowded than a diner. Do what you want with that, okay?

Cora stepped into IHOP with Carson at her heels. A little sign hung in plain sight. Please seat yourselves. Cora read it quickly and silently, then swiftly moved across the space to a small booth. Cora slipped in one side. She ran her hands over the glossy menu, glancing up at Carson as she seated herself. Carson sat down immediately and skimmed the menu, ultimately choosing bacon eggs and chocolate chip pancakes. She sat there and looked around, waiting for Cora to choose something and for someone to come serve them. She rested her head on her palm, elbow on the table, and sighed, her drowsiness evident.

Cora read easily through the menu, picking the Nutella Crepes. She loved Nutella, often spreading it on toast for breakfast in the morning. She also decided on hot chocolate for a drink, but Carson looked like she needed a coffee. "I suggest coffee, Carson. You look a little fatigued. Did you sleep well?" she acquired, raising an eyebrow. The answer, which was in plain sight, was no. She did not need to hear this to know, but asking seemed polite. A chubby brunette about seventeen stood before her then, beaming. She looked up, smiling faintly. "I'm Montana and I'll be your server this fine day." The girl had a Southern accent. "Would you like to start off with drinks or are you ready to order?" Cora glanced at Carson, smiling in a tentative way. "Are you ready to order?"

"I slept fine... I'm always tired..." Carson replied, leaning back in her seat so far one would think she'd fall over. As the waitress approached, Carson yawned lazily, and then grumbled an "mhm" when Cora asked if she was ready to order.

Cora shrugged at Carson's lazy reply. She sighed and then turned to the waitress named Montana. "Yes, we are. I'll have a hot coco and a set of those Nutella Crepes. And a mug of coffee would be nice too." Cora smiled and turned to Carson. "Carson?" she said. Montana's gaze flew to Carson. "What would you like Dearie?" Montana asked, smiling again. Her pen pressed to the paper as she waited.
