Lyra started to shake. She was nervous. But it seemed like she had a big support group. "Let's go guys," she said as she finished off the water bottle. She brushed hair back behind her ears, feeling her heart beat faster and faster. She walked back to the school with the group.

After the girls- meaning Lyra and Tari- got showered and dressed, Lyra walked with Tobias and Tari to the karaoke bar. She stood between them, occasionally leaning on one another for support. Walking around was still weird to her. Thinking about karaoke already made her feel better, especially the sparkley blue dress she was wearing. Tobias followed and made sure that Lyra remained on her feet. He sat down next to Lyra once they were in the karaoke bar.

Tari looked around there was an okay crowd not as many people as last time she looked at Lyra,"Do you want a water or something?"

"A Shirley Temple would be great, actually," Lyra said to Tari. She remembered drinking one when she went out to eat with her mother and grandpa. They were at some... dock restaurant of some sort. She didn't remember the details, just the drink.

"Cool be right back", she said, going to the bar and ordering a shirley temple, water, and a bloody mary. She came back withtheir drinks and sat down.

Lyra looked at Tobias, "are you going to sing, TK?" Lyra asked him as she held her head in a hand. "You never do karaoke. Is today different?" she asked the usual question.

"Not at all," he told her. "I'm not going to sing. That's your thing," he pointed out.

Lyra turned back to Tari and thanked her, "thank you!" Lyra said, getting her gingerale-orange-cherry drink. She took a bite of the cherry and sipped her drink. "Of course I'm going to sing but I don't think anybody has heard you sing." Lyra turned to Tari, "what about you?"

Tobias gave Tari a nod and a thank you before turning back to Lyra. "And no one will ever hear me sing," he told her. He sipped the water. "Are you going to pick a song or what?" he asked Lyra.

"Eh, I'll pass today", she replied, not quite feeling like singing.

Lyra stood up, "then I guess I will," she said and walked over to the request table. How fast she walked over there and got on stage, it seemed as if she was never hurt. Lyra's dress sparkled when the lights hit her and her smile showed no pain. The CD started to play and violins were playing in the background. "I need another story, something to get off my chest," Lyra started to sing "Secrets" by One Republic, her voice quiet, but as the song continued, her voice crescendoed to have a more passionate sound during the chorus.

Tobias watched Lyra and smiled. She was a great singer and her voice seemed magical.
