( Their Power )
( Ability ) Manipulation of molecular structure - He can take any substance and manipulate it into another. For example, he can take a block of steel and turn it into concrete, etc.
Manipulation of thoughts and feelings - He can manipulate people's thoughts so they do the opposite of what they want to do, or feel differently about something than they originally felt. For example, if someone was about to puch him, he could change their mind so they don't punch him. Or, if someone was in love with him, he could make them fall out of love with him.
( Type of Power ) Manipulation
( Weakness ) Molecular structure manipulation - Other gifteds are impervious to this ability; he can not alter their physical molecular make-up, only the things around them. This means he cannot alter his own molecular structure. He also cannot change a substance into another form of a substance, like liquid to solid, solid to gas, etc. So, he would not be able to change water into carbon dioxide, although if that water became steam, he could change the steam into CO2.
Thoughts and Feelings - This takes a lot of energy out of him, and he hates to use it, and will only use it if he absolutely has to. It seems like cheating to him in a way, and he doesn't like to cheat. Also, it's affects are only temporary.
( Good vs. Evil ) Undecided
( Personality )
Markus is an all-arond friendly guy; he's easy to get along with, has many interests, and is fairly optimistic. He tends to be very quiet and a bit shy (especially around girls), but despite this he was very popular at his previous school. Quite frankly, Markus hates the spotlight - he doesn't want the whole school to know his name and want to hang out with him every waking moment - he just wants to have a few good friends who he can confide in. He hates being put under pressure, and also hates being lied to, as well as hates having to lie to others.
( Little Details )
( Strengths ) Markus is fairly athletic - he takes part in his share of school sports and works out on occaision. He's easy to get along with, an optimist, and believes that anything's possible with a little effort.
( Weaknesses ) Makus can be very shy and quiet, and on occaision will avoid teamwork. He does horribly under pressure, and oddly enough becomes greatly embarrassed when using his power around other people - even other gifteds.
( Dark Secrets ) Markus finds it to be a big deal when he lies to people. His darkest secret (to him) is that once, in the eighth grade, he cheated on his girlfriend, and she never found out. He's vowed never to do anything like it again.
( Reputation )Others see him as the all-around nice guy - good grades, not overly cocky, doesn't seem to hold grudges. Some also notice his shy nature, and everyone who's met him has their own opinion.
( Family )
( Mother ) Annabeth Maria McKenzie. 50. Pharmasist. Markus and his mother are close. She worried about Markus's safety after finding out about his powers.
( Father ) Robert Harold McKenzie. 51. Chef. Markus and his father are extremely close, and often spent their weekends cooking together. He began to accept Markus's gifts right away.
( Siblings ) Alexandra Mia McKenzie. 13. (Twin)
Alexander Ulrich McKenzie. 13. (Twin)
Alexander thought Markus's gifts were awesome from the beginning and he began to idolize his brother more than he had before. However, Alexandra envied him, wishing it were her who had been born with powers. Though McKenzie hasn't noticed, she's been giving him the cold shoulder ever since.

Ooc://Yeah, this is just from another roleplay I used him in... lol
The flakes of snow drifted on the breeze, floating gently to the ground. Smoke rose from the chimneys of the surrounding houses, and wreaths hung on the doors, spreading the spirit of Christmas further and further across the quiet suburb.
Markus moved a strand of blonde, chin-length hair out of his face, and watched as flakes fell and almost instantly melted on the windshield of the car, and the wipers swept their remains away. He looked into his rear-view mirror. There it was. The house. HIS house.
Markus shifted the car into park, and opened the door. In his arms, he held a small box with a glittery green and red ribbon on top. His deep blue eyes were still fixed on the house as he did so.
He approached the house cautiously, almost as if he was afraid it would swallow him up. When he reached the door, he reached out to knock, but pulled his arm back indecisively at the last moment. He knew there would at least be someone in there who was furious with him for running away. There was no escaping that. And he still wasn’t sure if he was truly ready to face that.
Seven years ago he had been a fool. His girlfriend at the time was Elizabeth… oh, how he’d loved her. Still, he’d run away. He knew he wouldn’t be able to cope with having a child. He was poor, and his parents had already been completely fed up with his poor choices as it was. He was just too scared they wouldn’t support him in raising the child. He was afraid they’d disown him.
So he’d done the only thing a naive eighteen year old thought he could do at the time: he ran. What a fool he’d been, running from everyone he’d loved. It would be an utter blessing if Elizabeth ever spoke to him again, let alone forgave him.
Slowly his arm rose again, this time he tentatively rapped on the door. He cringed, waiting for someone to answer it; expecting the worst.
