Jason keeps to himself for the most part, having only acquaintances, not friends. He's known to be funny, though, and he's quite the looker, at least that's what he thinks. He uses his power of illusion for fun, creating magic tricks that would have the Magic Castle on their knees. He's the class clown, but with a dark secret.

The banner he was making in Photoshop only kept Max occupied for about ten minutes. If it had been a real project, he would have worked on it until he was done. That, and banners were really easy to make. He clicked out of the program without saving his artwork. He opened another program, and checked up on his current projects. None of them were class work, or they weren’t yet. He had to submit a sample of his work by the end of the week, which meant choosing one of his better pieces. After opening and closing a few projects, he finally decided on one of the pieces he did over break.
By now, Max had been sitting still for about fifteen minutes without moving. He was about to move his head to see where he put his notes when he felt eyes on him. He paused, half wondering if he was under the disapproving eyes of the mad librarian. Or worse yet, his book lover Dad. He quickly realized the glaze was just someone staring, but who? Hardly moving his eyes, he noticed a dark haired girl sketching. What’s her name? Ally, Babby, Gabby? No, none of those. Oh, Abbey!
His knowledge of the girl was slim. He recognized her as the new girl in his art class who talked very little. Normally, Max would have hacked into the school system and read her file, but there had been such an overwhelming amount of new students he hadn’t read any files. He was half tempted to check it out right now, but knew he would be in deep shit if a teacher saw.
Once he realized he was being sketched, Max made an effort not to move around too much. He had posed for his friends before, but never when he was working on his homework. The next ten minutes were spent of him trying to only move his eyes to read his notes. Once or twice he slipped and moved his whole head, but that had to be expected. Max didn’t mind the girl drawing him, even though he was used to being asked first. Soon though, his neck started to feel stiff and he knew he would have to interrupt the girl.
“Would you mind if I stood up and stretched real fast?” Max asked quietly, not wanting to scare the girl. He knew the new ones could be rather jumpy.
