( Their Power)
( Ability ) Superhuman Reflexes and Strength, can also climb most walls or obstacles with out tools of any kind.
( Type of Power ) Physical
( Weakness ) Doesn't accept help, even when he needs it. Conflict, hates to fight a multi-sided verbal fight.
( Good vs. Evil ) Right now James seems to have a tendency for trouble, with a dislike for rules. This doesn't necessarily make him a Villain, as of yet.
( Personality )
James acts like he's a tough guy, rough exterior with no budge whatsoever. This is hardly the case, he may never be a social butterfly, but he does like the company of other people. From time to time he can be quite bull headed, especially when he gets an idea in his head. He hates to lose face in front of others, and gets very defensive if bullied or made fun of. When he's finally opened up to others one could find that he is a fiercely loyal person, and would go all out to protect or help a friend. Rarely does anyone see this softer side of him, because he has been hurt and abandoned in the past. It will take a patient person to deal with James, and his need to constantly push his boundaries. His love of breaking rules and doing dangerous things, however, should be taken into consideration.
( Little Details )
( Strengths) James has a strong personality, and isn't afraid to voice his opinions. He's also quite physically fit, and likes sports, even if he isn't much of a team player.
( Weaknesses ) James has many downsides, his constant bids for attention, through rule-breaking activities, to the fact that he smokes. Another weakness he won't acknowledge is that he hates hurting people.
( Dark Secrets) Being an extremely insecure person, James would hate to have someone see how vulnerable he really is. One of his darkest secrets, however, is that he is gay. He hasn't told anyone, and its not likely that he will.
( Reputation ) The teachers know him as a hooligan and troublemaker, and have trouble reigning him in. To his fellow students he's simply a loner, very open about what he thinks about people, and not very serious about school.
( Family)
( Mother ) Jillian Marie Cox, 45, works as a secretary at a business office part time. James was never a mama's boy, but he cares a lot for her, and would never let anything happen to her.
( Father ) Michael Allen Cox, 46, lawyer. James got into a huge fight with his father when his 'gifts' were discovered, causing the young man to resent him, and leave for the school.
( Siblings ) Michael Scott Cox Jr., 24, construction worker. James is very attached to his older brother, and regrets that he got involved in the big fight.
( Any Other) Marie Anicross, 18, high school student. Best friend from elementary school, is another reason James left home.
( Belongings )
( Car ) A beat up old mustang, needs more work than he has money.
( Phone ) Doesnt carry one.
( Music ) A shabby blue SanDisk, the battery cover is missing.
( Anything Else) A lighter, several notebooks in which nothing is seemingly written. A pretty ragged photo book, which he keeps hidden from prying eyes. So far that's it.
(Sample)
On a badly lit street a young man dug through his pockets under a flickering street light, black eyes narrowed in irritation. A handful of something was pulled into view just as the streetlight decided to give up its fight to stay lit. Snorting faintly at this the man cast wary eyes up and down the dirty back street before three violently red balls of flame came into view, lighting him up like a Christmas tree. In the new light the man came into sharp focus. His hair was shaved an inch or so above his ears, where it was dyed a bleach blond shaggy and unkempt. Perhaps he had not been spending his time indoors of late.
All in all he seemed rather normal, from the cigarette in his mouth, ash dangling precariously from the end of it, to his faded heavy boots. The faded dark denim jacket he wore, along with the black jeans (one knee starting to wear out) made him out to be a street thug. If it weren't for the softball sized willowisps of fire, one would mistake him for human. Especially as he sorted through his small pile of crumpled dollar bills, and measly amount of spare change. It would be enough for a quick meal, a quick and cheap one. fast food, again. The very idea made his nose wrinkle in disgust, and he smoothed out the money as best he could, slipping the mix of change into his pocket. Maybe a burger, maybe.
Slipping the newly straightened bills into his jacket pocket he made his way across the street, heading up it. It wasn't smart to keep his powers on display, so he let them douse out, drenching him darkness until the next lamp post came into sight. Besides, he was close to the active portion of town anyway. Maybe he could find that Xavier's place, maybe. And maybe he would fit in too, instead of having to hide like this. To many maybes in that, he wanted to be sure before making a decision. Perhaps he would track down this 'school' today, to get a look at it.
