( Their Power)
( Ability ) ~Controls fire, ice, and is exploring a slight ability to manipulate weather, not sure up to what extent.
( Type of Power ) Manipulation.
( Weakness ) Like her personality, she often has difficulty with her two opposing abilities. That is, fire and ice. For the most part she has the ice part under control. But her control over fire wavers with any emotion. Also, exploring how much control over weather she has tires her easily fast.
( Good vs. Evil ) Really only wants to be a hero.
( Personality )
Sofi has some layers to her personality. Like with her abilities, her attitude is often a play between fire and ice. She comes off cool and unaffected, but is often easily riled up. She’s level headed until the situation becomes personal. You never really know what side you’ll get because like everyone, she has bad days where she’s illogical and hard to deal with. But make her smile on one of those bad days and she’ll love you forever. Concerning other people, she’s very optimistic. Just concerning herself, she’s learned not to have expectations. They usually fall. She likes listening to people and is easily excited. At the same time, she’s easily crushed and heart broken. Not that you’ll ever see it if she can help it. Overall, she’s pretty much always mature, kind, and guarded. Just count on her when you need her, she’ll be there. It would kill her if she wasn’t. However; if you try to dig deeper past the practiced smile, you’ll often get the cold shoulder. She’s just too afraid of what will happen if she lets anybody know something that actually matters beyond surface value.
( Little Details )
( Strengths) Fairly fit. Naturally fast. Smart.
( Weaknesses ) Stubborn and a perfectionist to a fault. If you know a secret and want to damage her? Guaranteed you can. She’s also pretty sensitive, and can take any biting comment to heart. This can affect her ability to use her powers. If she’s at her weakest, so are her abilities. Easily stressed.
( Dark Secrets) Awhile back, she got pretty close to a guy. She found out he was only trying to persuade her to help with a villain’s plot. What was worse, she didn’t find out until she had already done her part. The guy ran off with what he wanted, leaving her to deal with a casualty: a dead 12 year old girl. It haunts her to this day.
( Reputation ) Not too much. She just transferred here.
( Family)
( Mother ) Mother. Katherine Writley. 44. Housewife. Very bad. Sofi thinks her mother is material and selfish. Sofi doesn’t know that Katherine used to be an infamous hero.
( Father ) Father. Scott Writley. 46. Now has a steady job as a partner at a law firm in New York City. The opposite of Sofi and her mother’s. Sofi practially idolizes her dad. He’s her hero. Again, she doesn’t know that, unlike her mother, he was a famous villain.
( Siblings ) Mathew Writley. 24. Firefighter. Typical big brother. He watches out for Sofi and they get along well. He’s the partying, outgoing one. He also has super strength.
Jennifer Writley. 22. Taking classes at Yale. The relationship’s a little rocky because Jennifer was the “perfect child” and Sofi feels the need to live up to that. She’s a little snobby. She also is a shape shifter.
( Belongings )
( Car ) Yellow Porsche back home
( Phone ) Red Verizon Intensity
( Music ) Old School Ipod Video
( Anything Else) Always wearing a silver charm bracelet and a necklace with a piece of sea glass carved into a heart
(Sample)
“Come on Sof. Nobody’s going to get hurt. Please? For me?” The teasing, adorable smile is what did her in. She reaches out her hand to take-
Sofi’s icy blue-green eyes flew wide open as she called out. Her paralyzing nightmare had her breaking out into a cold sweat, and she sat up slowly to alleviate the head rush. Running a shaking hand through her pale blonde hair, she tried to soothe her nerves. It was just another, regular old school. She’d been through the new kid thing a million times before. This was no. Big. Deal. Slightly calmer, she pulled the sheet back and slid out of bed. Glancing at the faintly glowing digits on her alarm clock, she noted that she had a couple hours before it was time to leave. A tinge of disappointment washed through her. She wouldn’t get to see her dad before she left. They’d said goodbye the night before; he left in the early morning hours to catch a flight to Florida. Something about business. She would however get to see her darling mother (even at the thought of her, Sofi’s thoughts brought on a bitter tone) before Matt drove her to the airport.

“Now don’t get into too much trouble, ‘kay? And don’t let any boy take advantage of you either or else I’ll have to-” She elbowed Matt good-naturedly to end his tirade. He half smiled down at her, “I know, I know. But seriously, be careful, okay? I don’t want to have to worry about you.”
Smiling her trademark, angelic smile, Sofi shook her head, “You never need to worry about me. I take care of myself.” She couldn’t help but notice how his expression became slightly troubled at her words, but it quickly cleared into his usual cheeky grin.
“Just don’t be too good. God knows it’s what mom would want you to do… I’m really going to miss you, Sof.” At that, Sofi let her carefully poised manner drop and wrapped her arms around his neck tightly.
“I’m going to miss you too.” With that, she forced herself to unlock her arms and cleared her throat, smoothing her red babydoll top over her dark wash jeans. Gripping her luggage she waved and walked away to find her gate. A master at holding back tears, she felt one escape, sliding down her flushed cheeks. This wasn’t like all the other times they’d moved from country to country. This time, she was completely and utterly alone.
