Using a copy of the school map she picked up at the main office, Kyra made her way casually to her room. It only phased her a moment or two when she took a wrong turn and couldn't find her way, but she had just turned around moments later and started down a different way. She hadn't seen many people on her way but with her ipod in her ears, rocking out to Linkin Park (only songs on Hybrid Theory and Meteora, nothing after was any good) at every step, she wouldn't have heard anyway even if someone tried to catch her attention. But now that was over and she was here.
The room was bare, even with the scant furniture, so she decided she was the first one there. Apparently the school wasn't as full as it seemed, or else the students didn't need to arrive until well after the semester began. That she could definitely get used to if it meant slacking in attending classes too.
The three beds were arranged along the far wall, with a window between each bed that let in a fair amount of light and under either window was a small bedside table, obviously meant to be shared. To the left as she entered (the door swung in to the right) was a rather large dresser that was longer than it was wide, so that it took up almost the entire space from door to wall. Further examination proved that it was three separate components, built to look as one and though she didn't look, it should be detachable at the seams for easier transport.
On a whim she set down her bags, one a proper suitcase and the other more of a duffel bag, and tried to lift one side of the dresser. It moved well enough, and where it didn't she knew was because she hadn't detached it yet. Still, she made a mental note to leave it empty until she decided to move it. Her stuff could stay packed a little bit longer. As well as stay on the floor where it was too.
Turning towards the beds, Kyra noticed a door she hadn't seen before, when the right side of the room was blocked by the entrance. Striding the room she opened it and looked in. A closet. It wasn't very deep but she could step in and close the door behind her if she chose, and it seemed to stretch as far as the room. A pole ran through not far above her head for hanging outfits. Scoffing a little, she closed the door. Clothing was fine and all but she wasn't a girl to be impressed by closet space.
Returning to her original intention, she walked the last few steps to the nearest bed. Again she tested the weight, and was pleasantly surprised to find it slightly lighter than her own at home. Clearly the room had been designed to allow the occupants to rearrange it how they wished. And she intended to do just that. Let whoever came in after think what they would about the setup.

Hardly 15 minutes later, Kyra flopped down on her claimed bed for a breath. A thought brought a small sigh and she sat up, needing to brush vibrant red hair from her hazel eyes. The red was not her natural color, but she had known a guy with the same shade and it ran in his family so at least it wasn't totally fake.
Skimming the room with a glance, she nodded once to herself. She had taken the middle bed and pulled it to behind the main door, leaving the other two beds against opposite walls and each with it's own side table. In place of a table, she'd taken the end of the dresser closest to the door and pulled it over beside her bed. It had been a slightly more complicated process than she 'd anticipated, separating it from the others, but she was right that the dresser was actually three individual pieces. Separate the pieces were slightly taller than wide, but the dresser top lined up well enough with the bed for her. Her suitcase and duffel bag were under the bed, all the clothes and stuff put away. There was no sign she hadn't been there weeks already. Not even the lines on the floor remained from her dragging both pieces into place; they had bothered her until she got rid of them.
A glance at the mirror hanging on the wall opposite the closet door had her pulling out a brush and running through her hair twice before twisting the mass of red into a partial bun using a hairband from off her wrist. A quick use of deodorant, just in case, and she was headed out the hallway door. Time to wander the grounds and see what she could find (with the school map folded in her back pocket, just in case.)
