Click here for the last postOver their absence, Sabrina became close with Derek and Olivia's plight. Though she wasn't invovled with the rest of the dramatics the school had, she had encountered Olivia when she found her in her room, passed out on the floor. After a few altercations and misunderstandings, Derek and Sabrina soon came to an understanding, and soon the three started a friendship. However, Derek and Sabrina themselves starting something of a flirtatous relationship, though neither will admit it. Making their way to her floor, Derek quickly scanned the corridors for any dangers, then knocked on Sabrina's door. Muttering to himself the knock he and Sabrina shared, "One knock, pause, then two, pause, pause, then four." The door then opened up to warm smile, and Sabrina quickly shooed in the two. Closing the door behind them, she greeted them warmly, "Hey, it's been a while. Are you two okay?" Sabrina made her way to the mini fridge by her bed, and pulled out a few bottles of water. She tossed them to Derek, who caught them and handed one to Olivia. Opening the bottle Derek, nodded, and answered, "Yeah, if a bit tired. Thank you again for letting us stay up here for a bit." Derek relaxed a bit, lying back on Sabrina's bed. He couldn't help but smile as he breathed in. Olivia pulled her legs up to her chest, toying with the bottle. "It's been boring," she said with a frown, and looked back at Sabrina. She wished she was back at school, with things to do with, with people to talk to. She hated running, she hated being scared. Sabrina walked over to Olivia and sat down next to her. Giving her a small hug she said, "Don't worry, things will get better." Turning Olivia's head toward hers, she gave a smile. "I promise." Olivia buryed her head into Sabrina's shoulder. She was like a big sister to Olivia, protecting her like Derek, but being stupid about it like her brother tended to do. Hugging Sabrina tight, Olivia relaxed, but stayed silent. Releasing she gave a yawn and muttered, "I need to sleep, I'm just gonna fall into you bed right here. Crawling over the bed, she moved her way to the other side and slipped under the covers. Sabrina watched her move back and smiled as she watched Olivia drift off to sleep. Gesturing to the other bed to Derek, they moved and sat down on the edge of the other bed. Sabrina's roommate was never there, as it seemed to be with most of the people Derek or Sabrina knew at school. Even with so many kids at the school, one couldn't help but wonder where all their friends were at times. Probably because the school was so large. Touching his arm, Sabrina looked at Derek. He looked worn out, and almost on the verge of giving up. She sighed, she hated seeing him like this. Scooting closer, she said, "Are you okay? I know it's been tough, but... you gotta keep strong right?" Sabrina hated this sort of pep talk stuff, she was never good at it. Derek shook his head and chuckled, and looked back grimly at Sabrina. "What the hell can I do? I have this power, but it's not enough. I can't do enough." He was angry at himself. Clenching his fist his looked down. Derek was powerless compared to Richard. Why couldn't he have more, why couldn't he do more? Sabrina took a deep breath and looked back into Derek's eyes. "No." She knew she was taking a risk, pushing back against Derek when he was on the edge, but he needed to hear this. "It's never stripped you before. It doesn't matter how strong he is, Richard is evil. You can't let him win. He may have power, but you have a reason to fight. For Olivia, for the world." Sabrina took a deep breath, steadied herself, and summoned up the courage to say the next two words, "For me." Derek looked up, and found himself again looking in Sabrina's eyes. Nothing could stop Derek from thinking, She's telling me the truth. He then instinctively embraced Sabrina, and held her tight. "You're right, I won't give up. I can't. I have to do this, to push though. For others. For the people I love. I love Olivia, and... I... I... I lo-" Sabrina cut him off with a hush. "No, don't say it. I know it, and you know it. Trust me when I say the feeling is mutual.," she said with a smile. She pulled back slightly, and was relieved when a smile came to his lips. But she lost her breath when she found those same lips on her own. Letting the water drop to the floor, Sabrina closed her eyes, and immersed herself into the moment. She pulled their bodies together, and she kissed back. Their bodies soon went from sitting to Derek lying onto of Sabrina on the bed. Derek was breathing heavily, and could only find the power to whisper, "Sabrina." She was beautiful, she was strong. He ran his fingers through her hair, and embraced her again. Letting the sheets cover them, the night went on.

Derek slowly opened his eyes, and sighed contently. It took him a good second to notice Sabrina's bare body pressed against his own. Leaning his head on his elbow, he couldn't help but stare at her. She was amazing, and she was perfect in his eyes. Looking around, everything seemed in place, Olivia was asleep and safe, and peace seemed to hold the room together. This was his ideal life, a girl, a family, happiness. Derek soon found a smile forming on his lips.
Sliding out of the bed, he gathered his clothes and quickly dressed. As he fit on his jacket, he opened the window and took in the fresh air. It seemed like a perfect day, the sun was high, and the sky was blue. With the strange exception of a growing black dot in the distance.
"What the-" The dot started to grow extremely fast, into a blur, into a figure. It grabbed Derek and smashed him through the walls of Einstien and into the courtyard. Derek's body cratered into the ground several feet, creating plumes of dust above him. As it settled, the figure was landed on the ground in front of him.
"Derek, my nemesis. You have plauged me long enough. Time for reality, my reality to end you." Richard's hands glowed with energy, and he lifted them towards Derek. A wide beam shot out of his hands, and it sped toward Derek.
Derek's eyes widenened, and he instinctively pushed energy to his feet, sending him high into the air. Flipping backwards he steadied himself, and took a deep breath, and sped flying toward's Richard. Energy coursing towards his own hands, he charged it up, and grabbed Richard's shirt. Screaming, "Die!", Derek let loose a large blast, sending both bodies flying.
Landing back on his feet, Derek watched as Richard's body smashed into the ground, creating his own crater. However, Richard simply stood up and dusted himself off, with the same devilish look on his face. "Fool! Do you really think you stand a chance against me? Think again." Richard disapppeared in a flash, then reappeared behind Derek. Richard grabbed Derek's throat, and coursed electricty through his hands. Unable to scream, Derek shook violently, and could barely scratch at Richard's hand. Richard then threw him back at Einstein, sending Derek into the wall. Derek slammed through the wall, into the commons, now unconscious.
Richard then made his way towards the hole, and laughed at Derek's body. "You've lost, and now I can claim my prize," he claimed, as he jumped back to study the building.
Suddenly a voice came from the roof, "You won't find Olivia here Richard." Looking up, Richard saw the source of the voice- Sabrina was crouched on one knee on top of Einstein. Tapping her pistols, she continued, "Olivia is long gone. It's just you and me." Sabrina readied herself and narrowed her eyes.
Rage overcame Richard's vace. "You bitch... YOU'LL TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!", he roared as he sent an arc of lightning at Sabrina. Jumping off as the lightning hit the roof, Sabrina sent shot bullets at Richard, who quickly rolled to the left dodging the shots.
Richard sent multiple arcs of lighting towards Sabrina, who dodged them swiftly. In mid dodge she went bullets off, with one piercing Richard's chest. Richard roared again, "Do you think you're bullets can hurt me? You students are stupider than I thought!"
Sabrina coldly stared down Richard, and said, "Those aren't ordinary bullets. The reason you want Olivia? The research? I studied it, and perfected it. There is a serum that can supress powers, I derived it from that. Those bullets, inject the serum. These pistols? Specially designed for those bullets, unlike my non-lethal firearms." Sabrina moved into her stance that she practiced for years, "These weapons are lethal as well. And the serum takes effect immediately."
Richard's face quickly lost blood, and he swallowed nervously for the first time in his life. Sabrina's eyes held no mercy though, and she simply said, "Time for your elimination Mr. Keral." Sabrina then sprinted toward Richard, taking aim with both bullets. Richard however, didn't move. Instead his face turned into a smirk, and he lifted up his arm. Pressing a button on his watch, a shield appeared before him, and boxed Sabrina. Sabrina slammed into the forcefield, and now as trapped in the box.
"You don't think I planned for this? Oh, no Sabrina, the tables have turned. You only have to wait until my powers come back, and you'll feel pain you've never experienced," Richard cackled.
From a sidebush, Olivia watched with terror. However, instead of running she yelled out, "Stop it!" and ran toward Richard with both fists.
Richard's eyes widened at appearance of Olivia, and Sabrina started to scream at Olivia to run. Richard laughed, and simply said, "My prize." He smacked down Olivia, knocking her unconscious. Picking Olivia up in his arms, he turned back to Sabrina, and said, "Thank you for drawing her to me. I have no need to stay anymore."
Sabrina could only cry and yell uselessly as Richard carried Olivia away. Derek had gotten up, and dragged himself out of the commons. He saw Richard carrying Olivia away, and he started to yell. Richard simply ignored both, and he got away.
Derek barely managed to make his way to Sabrina, and started to gasp, "Why? Dammit! Why?" He touched the forcefield, and used the last bit of energy to disappate it, and passed out. Sabrina caught him before he fell to the ground, but she couldn't stop crying. Looking around with no one in sight, she quickly took him back up to her room.

Derek was unconscious on the bed, with Sabrina tending over him. She hated the fact she left the encounter unscathed, while Derek took the blows and Olivia was still kidnapped. There was nothing to do but just watch as he slowly turned in her bed. He was having a nightmare, even as he recovered from his wounds. Sabrina did the best with what she had, clotting the blood, stitching wounds, wrapping up his body with bandages. His vitals were stable, but she couldn’t tell if he had any broken bones. Normally one would, considering Derek was thrown through several walls and feet of dirt, but his emotional instincts create natural forcefields around his body. Not enough to stop the wounds on the outside, but enough to absorb the shock from breaking his bones.
Sabrina pulled the desk chair, and sat down next to Derek. She stroked his cheek, and fixed his hair. She couldn’t stop worrying about him, so she stayed up, watching over him. She soon started to sway side to side, and dozed off to sleep.

Sabrina blinked open her eyes, and slowly sat up. She saw a figure moving, but couldn't make it out. Rubbing her eyes to clear her vision, she soon saw that Derek was pacing around, fully clothed. In fact, they weren't his normal clothes, he was suited up, seemingly for a fight. Sabrina stood up immediately, and worringly said, "Derek! Why are you up? You're wounded!" Derek paid no heed to her warnings, muttering, "I'm fine." He certainly moved fine, brisquely walking around her room, examining gear and throwing them aside. Sabrina's room was filled with gear, and could only stare the the assortment of weapons and tools that Derek had brought in and was now sorting through. Items she'd only seen when she was a young girl at the facility she grew up in, prototypes and black market items. Grabbing and examining random weapons, she looked back at Derek who kept an emotionless stare on his face. She managed to say, "Will this even work against Richard?" Her voice trailed off as Derek continued to pick through the weapons. Coldly answering, "No, but he's no idiot. He probably created his forces, but they aren't him. They can be destroyed. I won't waste my powers on those, and this should be enough against what he throws at me." Derek didn't look at Sabrina as he explained, and it pained Sabrina to see him acting like this. Sabrina looked grimly and grabbed Derek, forcing him to look at her. "Derek, you don't have to do this now, or alone. You can ask for help, we can get ready for this." Derek stared back at Sabrina, and in the same cold voice said, "I lost my only chance to stop Richard. If I stop now, Richard wins and I lose Olivia. There is no time, and I waste time planning with others. Now you can either help me or get out of my way." He shrugged her grip off, and moved back to the weapons. He paused, and said, "I care about you, so I suggest you leave, but do what you want. Just don't try to stop me. Because you can't." Sabrina stared back, and thought hard abou this words. Soon enough, a look of determination formed on her face. "I'll help." Within minutes the two were strapped up and ready to go. Sabrina found a slim tight outfit, armed with her modified pistols, set to kill. Ammo strapped on her waist, she was ready. Derek had a suit of body armor, with a sword and gun strapped to his body. The suit was modified with machinery, allowing him to move and jump at superhuman speeds and heights with minimal effort. The sword was a vibroblade, vibrating at high speeds within a small distance, allowing it to cut cleanly through anything. The gun was a special custom designed weapon for him, modifed by Hana from their criminal days. It shot nanomites, eating away at both organic and inorganic materials for ten seconds, until deactivating. They left the room, and shut off the light for the last time. Click here for the next post
