Carson got up and headed towards the door. She was headed to Pier Veiw to meet up with Jamie.

Artemis came home to her dorm and slammed the door shut. "Im so stupid" She said throwing something at her wall. "UGH!" SHe said sitting on the edge of her bed. She closed her eyes. "I mean..there is Noah who is gonna think Im crazy and a player and Tobias who..." She shook her head leaning back on her bed. "I should have kept my mouth shut..Tobias thinks Im some crazed lunatic..."

Cora awoke at 6:40, noting the clouds. Carson and Artemis slept quietly. Cora wanted to talk to someone. Anyone. She got up and tapped Carson. She was stirring, as i she was going to wake up anyway, with or without Cora's help. "Carson?" she asked.

Carson rolled over in her sleep, but didn't wake up. She wasn't a very light sleeper. But after Cora tapped her continuously a few more times, she opened her eyes. "What?" She asked groggily, sitting up in bed. She looked at the clock. "What is SO important that you'd have to wake me up at 6:40?" She flopped back down.

Cora smiled to herself when Carson spat slurred words at her. "I need to talk to you. I know this is a bad time. I haven't really talked to you alone," Cora replied, her thoughts strewn about haphazardly. "Want to go to breakfast?" she asked, shifting. "It's okay if you don't." Cora got up from the floor, brushing her Hello Kitty PJ's off. She grabbed a pair of jeans and a short sleeve plaid blouse. She took her red Converse sneakers with her into the bathroom.

"Uhhh... I guess yes since you really didn't give me much time to respond..." Carson rolled her eyes and slipped out of bed. She threw on the first thing she found in her draw, which was a pair of basketball shorts and a graphic tee. She tossed them on, dragged a brush through her hair and then sat back down on her bed and waited for Cora to finish getting ready.

Cora stepped from the bathroom, surprised that Carson had excepted. She would probably bore Carson, so she might as well keep quiet. Cora slipped money in her pocket, nodding to Carson. "Come on," she uttered, throwing open the door.

Carson followed Cora. "But where exactly did you want to go? I've been to the coffee shop a million times already, lets go somewhere else for a change..."

"Let's go to that diner. I've only been there once," Cora suggested, slipping her key, which was on a chain, over her neck. She glanced at Carson.

"Alright, sure. I haven't been there yet..." Carson said, yawning once before heading out into the hallway.

Cora sat up, the areas around her eyes hard and sticky from crying herself to sleep the night before. Cora shook her head, letting more tears fall. She felt especially saddened, knowing that she was to lose her aunt very soon. She had already lost her sister, did she really deserve to lose her aunt? Cora threw her legs from bed, changing quickly. All she could do is get on with her life. All she could do is put one foot in front of the other and give everyone a slight smile. Cora knew this routine well. She knew how to lock her emotions in a safe. But she wasn't sure if the safe was big enough.

Cora stuck the key in the lock and swung the door open. She grabbed the bread from the fridge along with the peanut butter. She slathered the peanut butter along the bread, slapping another piece on top of it. She hadn't had a peanut butter sandwich in ages, but it felt good somehow. It was like she was six and she had a peanut butter sandwich and a banana and a cupcake for lunch. After dinner, Cora decided to hang out with her room with her iPod.

Cora's hand fumbled for the atomic clock on her nightstand. After a while of trying, she finally managed to turn off the radio. She groaned, knowing her roommates, who were sound sleepers, wouldn't hear. Cora was trying to wake up at six, for she didn't know exactly when school would start on the 16th. Cora got up, quickly making her bed. She fluffed her pillow and stumble over to her dresser, pulling out a plain white tee and jean shorts. She slipped on a pair of flip-flops and hurried into the bathroom where she ran a comb through her shoulder-length caramel colored hair, scraping it into a messy bun. Then she put her contacts in and hurried out the door, noting she had only been up for fifteen minutes.

Carson rolled over onto her stomach in her sleep. The past few days she had literally slept away, due to the fact that her headache had come back in full force. Slowly she awoke, flipping over. Her first reaction when she sat up was to clutch her head, but strangely enough the pain didn't flood her skull this time and she was actually able to think. What day was it? She didn't even know how long she'd been asleep. She looked at the clock; 10:38. Her stomach growled. She really needed to get something to eat, by now she was starving. She got up, feeling a bit light-headed, and jumped into a pair of grey skinny jeans and a black band tee. She slipped on her black Converse high-tops and made sure she had the room key, her phone, and some money in her pocket before stepping outside as she checked her cell for new messages.

Cora groaned flipping over. She had awoken to the rush of Carson getting up. She got up, checking the fridge. The cake was untouched, and Cora decided to take advantage of it. She cut a huge piece of cake and shoved it down her throat, leaving the rest on Artemis's night stand. Cora changed into bootcut jeans and a blouse, sliding on her batter flip flops. Cora was startled by her cell phone. She fumbled for it, answering. "Hello?" she asked. "Oh, Cora!" her mother wailed. "Mom calm down," Cora said, putting her hand out. "Hun, Aunt Mable died last night," she sobbed. Cora was speechless. "Bye," she managed, hanging up. She grabbed her key, turning off her phone, and ran out of the room.
