Vergil stirred on his bed, the sound of sheets against sheets fluttering briefly in the silent room. He felt something tug at him and try to wake him though it was not be conventional means for the tugging came from within, as if something inside shifted around and prodded at him restlessly. The deck inside the magnetic leather case on his bed gave a shake. He started with a breathy gasp and sat up, hands feeling around blindly for the case that thrummed and shifted; fingers snaked around it and it ceased in its activities with mischievous giggle resonating within him. It seemed like a few of the more independent cards decided he had slept sufficiently.
Tossing aside the sheets in one fluid throw of his hand, he got out of bed fully dressed still and groped around along the walls for a light but stopped. If his roommate was asleep, it'd be terribly rude to just turn on the light so he unwrapped the beaded necklace around his neck and let it wrap itself around his dominant arm and hand, the silver trinity knot happily settling itself upon his right middle finger to become the ring it was. He skittered around the room quietly and grabbed for his deck, flipping it open and tapping the cards inside to whisper, "Licht.. Licht, I need yu, bitte."
A card made itself known by rising slightly above the others, allowing Vergil to take her out; he slid the trinity knot over the back to unlock her gently, a glowing orb taking form within the room to give him the light he wanted. "I ahm sorry buht a smahl licht es ahl I need.." He felt her displeased with being shrunken to such a petty form but a small amount of understanding bled into that displeasure as she followed him around the room to help him unpack.

It didn't take long to finish. His bags had been packed neatly and all he had to do was transfer pre-folded clothes into the empty wardrobe along with place a few things here and there. One black sketchbook and a few books were stacked on top of the dresser along with a picture of he and his family during a snowy yuletide that sat inside a gleaming silver frame. It was 11:01 AM right now over there. He couldn't help but wonder what they were doing.. Bags empty and placed inside an unoccupied drawer of the dresser, he was settled into his new life for the most part.
The glowing orb of light circled around Vergil once as if asking a question, to which he replied, "Ja, Licht, I ahm done... Danke mit tiefer Dankbarkeit." The orb expanded a little and compressed itself back into a card, fluttering into Vergil's extended hand. He placed her back in the deck and attached it to his jeans. He ran a hand through his brunette locks and played with the golden tips slightly. What to do now... He assumed there was no curfew for exploration since it was summer but he could be wrong. Deciding to take the risk, he left the confines of the dormitory to look around, remembering where he came from.

Vergil was toweling the last of the water out of his hair, freshly dressed. He stared outside and had a strong desire to return to the fountain he had experienced at night to experience it in morning splendor, making him turn to the wardrobe to get a black scarf out and wrap it around his neck. It was chilly from what he could feel radiating from the cool glass and if he opened the window, he was sure it'd tell him the same. His deck case was placed on his belt loop and his beads were wound around his arm contently so he started out and onto the grounds.

He shut the room door gently behind him post entrance, feeling terribly sleepy but he knew he had something to do before any resting could happen. The walk had only been down the hall to which he was thankful as he touched the onyx beads on his arm and asked Flug to come out.
The hum within him allowed him to know she acknowledged Vergil meant for her to come out and not to assist, the card in his deck opening with a flutter once he unlocked it. Flug was a seven foot tall, and thin albino woman- flesh as alabaster as fresh, powdered snow. Her long, milky hair fell like a waterfall and became feathers the last few feet down, brushing against her ankles as she sat upon his bed staring at him with gentle crimson eyes. She looked back at her damaged wings, the sheer pearl dressings she wore shifting as she returned her gaze to Vergil; he carefully began to clean the matted feathers, "Es tut mir leid Flug; Ich bin dankbar für alles, was Sie für mich tun..." A smile spread her pearly lips while a voice whispered inside of him in hushed overlaps and echos. Flug spread the wings she so often allowed Vergil to borrow so he could clean between the glossy feathers.
He steadily worked on removing any trace of blood and thanked her again when she tucked the wing so he could bandage it all the way around. He contributed this as one of the reasons the cards could not trust him so freely. When they lend parts of them for his use, any damage sustained cannot be healed automatically. If Flug had, however, been in this form- hers, she could be resealed and whenever she was released again.. she would have been just fine. The spirits of the cards were immortal but accepting him gave them his own mortality and thus, the ability to be hurt. "Es bedeutet viel, dass man durch so etwas für mich zu gehen--"
Before he could speak further, his lips were covered by two elegant fingers and he looked up to meet Flug's crimson eyes giving him an amused smile. He flushed and looked away to finished fastening the bandage, embarrassed he had been rambling to the poor spirit. When he finished she laid on his bed and tucked the large wings behind her to rest, Vergil gathering everything, throwing things away, and opening one of the empty drawers under the drawer with his bags to arrange it neatly. He had a feeling this stash would come in handy sometime. Flug reached out and plucked him by the beads on his arm to the bed, forcing the young and naive wielder to curl up against her to sleep. He simply sighed and tucked his head under her chin like the child he still was, drifting off to the sweet humming in his core.

Flug was the first to stir from her curled slumber on the bed, glaring in the direction of the offensive sound. She and the wielder were trying to rest for god's sake. About to get up to smash whatever was making the noise to pieces, Vergil sleepily stumbled out of bed and fumbled around for his phone. "Mmmn..." he blinked a few times and rubbed at his eyes to read the text from Mykel, hitting the keys to type out a response and hit send. Flug watched him from the bed still curled up, wing healing steadily. She tugged at him to return to bed and he did, with the cell phone in hand.

Flug wanted to knock whatever it was the wielder had in his hands out of them. It went off constantly and was an annoyance. Vergil gave her an apologetic look and switched the phone to vibrate after the third text to appease the healing spirit, pleasing her greatly though she kept a firm arm around him to prevent him from getting up. He obediently stayed with his back pressed against her, not wanting to irritate her.

Mykel knocked on the doorframe quietly, seeing Vergil curled up on the lap of what he assumed was the creature that had given the boy wings the day they'd met. "Hey. You two alright?"

Flug sat up and went to spread her wings defensively but was stopped by Veril and his hand on her shoulder, "Er ist ein Freund." She relaxed a little but stayed sitting up, wings tucked securely, as she pulled the wielder into her lap and stared at Mykel steadily, crimson eyes curious but guarded. "Gut morgen, Mai-khul," Vergil smiled a little sheepishly to the boy who entered, "Komm een, khlose theh dur."

Mykel nodded, used to the younger's accent now, and shut the door behind him, sitting on the floor by Vergil's bed. "This is.... Flug, yes?" He asked, trying not to mispronounce the card's name.

"Ja, Flug," Vergil patted the empty space near them on the bed, "Theh fluur cahn noht be khumfortabhul, Mai-khul. Komm seet, I vhill noht eet yu." Flug relaxed a little more when she heard the tone of familiarity in Vergil's voice; he was obviously very used to the new boy... perhaps he was not too bad.

"Yeah, I know you won't." Mykel laughed softly, sitting next to the boy and patting his shoulder lightly. "So.... what happened, who lost control?"

"I.. Flug leaned over to get a better look at Mykel, curiosity getting the better of her.

"The other girl? What was her power?" Mykel asked softly, moving so Flug could see him better. "And it's probably for the best that I wasn't there last night, I would have been one more hurt.'

Flug allowed Vergil to leave the safety of her lap to study the obviously older boy. She had never interacted with another human before, in fact, in her expansive lifetime- she only came in contact with two and they were Alastair, the guardian, and Vergil, their wielder. Vergil sat somewhere in between the two in his room and looked between them, then answered Mykel, "I du noht rechall ahneetheeng... um.. I theenk she vhas theh vohn whu stohped theh wulves en theh ahre."
