Nefertari sat up in her bed and strecthed her arms over her head, yawning. She had forgotten to shut her blinds yesterday so the sunlight had been pouring in. No point trying to go back to sleep, she thought. She jumped out and grabbed a towel, heading towards the shower. It seemed her other roommates were still sleeping. Rooming with Penelope and Artemis was weird, she didn't mind Artemis alone but with Penny she got all supervillain-y, for lack of a better term.
After blowdrying her hair, she put on a lace shirt with a high waisted skirt over it, some over the knee socks, and a dark blue peacoat. She swung her brown bag over her shoulder and was out the door. She'd go for a walk around campus before school started, she had some time.

Artemis lay on her back. Her Pillow covering her face as she slept. Her mouth open as she let out a few snores. They wernt that bad. It was weird having new roommates. She was always used to Cora and the other girl. 'what was her name?' she couldnt remember. But being a roommate with her best friend Penny would prove to be great. Then Tari was with them also. That would be strange. They were...'friends' more or less she didnt have an issue with that girl. Even though she knew Penny Did. Yawning Artemis yawned as she felt the light in her eyes. "Dammit Tari" She mumurered as she sat up sheilding her eyes. Huffing she swung her legs over and starred out at the wall.
Finally deciding to stand up she grabbed her clothes shimming them on. A thin long sleeve shirt and shorts as she pulled up her hair around her face. Looking to see Penny asleep she rolled her eyes. "Some taking over the world were doing" She laughed as she walked out the door.

Nefertari came in to the room and changed into her plaid pajamas and a shirt that she got from DisneyWorld a long time ago As she dried her hair, she looked at the calender and starting marking off the days that had passed; she was always a bit lazy about that. She looked at the date and it started to sink in. More than half of the school had gone by. Nefertari had known this, but still the news kind of took her off guard.
This year had been pretty crazy, but what did she really have to show for it? Her grades were pretty good and there were some funny stories, but this was so not how she planned her junior year. Oh well, guess I should just make the most of the time left.
She had finished homework earlier than usual, teachers were lightening up on the workload lately, but all that meant was before the next break she'd have an insane amount of homework. She went through her usual pre-bedtime routine, making sure all her work was done, her clothes were laid out, and her phone was on the charger and not in her bag.
Her roomies were in, also getting ready for bed. They had all been busy, well Artemis not so much, lucky second semester senior. But Penny and Nefertari had been, so the girls of room 609 hadn't really hung out for a while. "What's happenin?", she asked as she sat down on her bed.

Was Nefertari talking to Penelope? In a non-argumentative way? Hell must have frozen over, she thought, twice. Penelope was standing in front of the mirror attached to the inside of the door to her wardrobe. She was brushing her hair, getting ready for bed. "Um, not much," Penelope said, still a bit surprised that Nefertari was talking to her. Although it was possible that she was only talking to Artemis.
Penelope finished brushing through her hair, and began braiding it as she sat down on her bed, crossing her legs. "What about you?" she asked. Penny had a few classes with Nefertari, so she knew that Tari had been equally busy with schoolwork as she had been. Penelope finished her braid and pulled out her laptop, checking email and facebook as well as re-reading through a paper she had due the next day.

Penny had responded in a non snarky way? That was a surprise. Tari picked up on of the pillows on her bed and squeezed it to her chest, bringing her knees up. "The usual. Essays, tests, all that fun stuff", she replied, sending an air current to close the curtains tighter behind her as she was to lazy to reach over and do it herself. Spring break couldn't come soon enough for Tari, she was in need some time to update her wardrobe, sleep, and study for AP exams. Weekends couldn't cover it.

Penelope walked from the parking lot, through the campus, and up to Houdini Hall. There were only a few people around right now, as today was the first day that students were allowed back from break, so Penny didn't have much of an issue finding parking or actually speaking to anyone she didn't like. She was sure that wouldn't last for long, however, as she struggled to open the door to her dorm while still carrying her bags. Opening the door to the three-person room, Penelope was instantly reminded of her roommates; Artemis, a year above her, who she had quickly become best friends with, and Nefertari, who she had hated since she was a young girl. Penny had never been particularly unlucky, she believed, but Nefertari had changed that- first, both of them ending up at the same school, and then ending up in the same, small dorm room, forced to be somewhat civil if they wanted to stay at school.
Neither of her roommates were here right now, so Penny simply sat down on her bed and looked out the window- curious as to what Oceanside had to offer her this term.

Break was over. And It felt like a life tie ago since she had returned back to school. Pulling up into the Parking lot she parked her car and sat there for a few moments. Memories flashed through her head. The good times-the horrific times. This school had become like a second home to her. And to be able to see all of her friends again. She was excited. Getting out of her car she popped the trunk and took out a few of her bags. She would have to take at least another trip. Making her way to Houdini Hall with a rather large smile on her face she made her way up to her floor. "Sonofa-" She mumbled almost dropping her things. With a sigh she found her door and jiggled the door knob. Bumping it open with her side she strode in with an 'Ahh' "Honey I'm Home" She said not expecting anyone to be in there.
Placing her things on her Bed she saw the oh so familiar blonde. With a grin she tapped her on the shoulder giving her a war chill. "Miss me" She said stepping on front of her.

Penny looked away from the window when she had heard the doorknob jiggle. She hoped to death it wasn't Tari- she wasn't ready for someone to ruin the good feeling of being back at school. Home had never been a great place for Penelope. It wasn't terrible, by any means. She didn't have to deal with alcoholic or abusive parents or anything. It was more that her parents just didn't care. Sometimes she even thought that they were afraid of her, afraid of what she was. But when she was at school, no one was scared of the fact that Penny had the powers that she did. Sure, they might be afraid of what she could do with them, but that was intentional by her. At school, Penny was an icon, not a freak.
Penelope was grateful to see that it was Artemis who had walked through the door. "Miss me," Artemis had asked her. "Oh, of course," Penny said sarcastically, though she and Artemis both knew that it was true.

Artemis was happy to see Penny. It was almost as if they had never left school. "I knew you'd miss me" She laughed and nudged her gently. "So were back. No tari yet?" Missy asked scanning their room. There were a few marks on the wall from when they tacked up Schedules and Posters. Or when Artemis had a hissy fit and threw things at the wall. It was all good memories. Stretching out she moved back on Penny's bad looking up at the ceiling. "Ready for another year?" She asked sitting up on her elbows.

"Yup, we're back," Penny said, with slightly nostalgia in her voice. "And no, no Tari yet. Thank god," she replied, still dreading the moment that she would walk through the door. She moved over a bit when Artemis lay down on her bed, making enough room for her. "Ready for another year?" she asked her. "We've only got a few months, Artemis. Summer starts in June, remember?" she said, laughing a bit. "I am ready, though. We've got more storms to take everybody by- how could I not be excited?"
Penny had never caused much damage in her years at Oceanside. Outside of the Arena and that one time with the orb, she wasn't a 'bad kid', but she did plan on her general badassery to be enough. This term, she planned to make even more of a name for herself. More fights in the Arena and a few more enemies outside of it was a good plan in her eyes.

Artemis rolled her eyes poking her back. "Shush. You know what I mean" She laughed shaking her head. Sh let her eyes flutter close. It was a good break. Just long enough to clear her mind. Get things situated. The Usual. It had been a little hard for her before the break. With everything that had happened. With the orb. And Nick. She let out a loud sigh as she puffed out her cheeks. "Ah June. Is it bad that I kind of want it to be a little further away? Just a little" She laughed sitting up a bit more on her elbows looking over at Penny
"Excited you and me both." She laughed and rolled her shoulders. "Ah I want to get out of this room in a bit. Maybe before Tari gets here" Missy never really had a bit issue with Tari. They talked and even had a few good times together. But now, Artemis was going to try and find out who she realy was. What she really wanted to do with her life.

"No, I don't think it's bad you want it to be further away," Penny said. She herself wasn't looking forward to the fact that she only had one year left at Oceanside after this. But glad nonetheless that she still did have a whole year left.
"There's not really anyone else around right now, though," Penny said. "It'll be kind of boring." Penny looked back out the window for a moment. "Any big plans for this term?" She asked her friend, curious if she had changed at all since the incident with the orb, wondering if her being partly at fault for the loss of a human life had changed her mind at all. As far as Penny knew, Artemis had never killed anyone. And, sure, it would be different if it was an enemy or someone not important. The death of a friend hit you much harder. But maybe it had made her reconsider...everything?
