"I feel... lost." He felt the crunch of the grass beneath him as he stepped out onto the grounds. "The main building should be..." he rotated himself towards the general direction of the main building, "... there?" Ethan hastily grabbed the folded up school map he took earlier and looked over it again.

"I can't stop partying, partying,/" Lyra quietly sang as her headphones blasted "I Can't Stop Partying" by Weezer. Lyra did a little dance while she was walking, her sandals screeching against the tile floor. After she opened the building door and entered outside, Lyra stopped her dance and blinked, pausing her singing but the music kept playing. "Hi!" Lyra- wait, why did she even stop to talk to this guy? She would just pass by otherwise. But he looked lost. "Need something?"

The boy looked up from his confusion, he was about to say something, stopped, started again but then stopped again. All the while with awkward hand gestures to accompany his awkward introduction. He chuckled a bit and brushed his hair in a failed attempt to not look so confused. "Uh, well, I just moved in and I'm sorta kinda lost, haha." Ethan put his hand out and grinned, "Name's Ethan Hawke by the way."

Lyra grinned and shook Ethan's hand firmly, accepting the introduction offer, "pleasure to meet you, Ethan. I'm Lyra Calnote," she said and moved her hand away first. She brushed some hair behind her ear and paused the song when Lil Wayne started his verse. "So you're new?" Lyra tilted her head- of course he was. "You don't look like a freshman, how old are you?" Lyra asked. New kid, how exicting.

Nefertari walked around the grounds, not really knowing where to go next she spotted Lyra and some dark haired guy. She waved and walked over,"Hey there!", she said to Lyra and the boy, with a smile.

"Pleasure's mine," he said looking up with a smile, "Ah, yeah. I'm a junior actually, seventeen." Ethan took a step back and put his hands in his pockets with a slackened posture. "So..." he had no idea what to say, but heard a small bit of the girl's music, "Weezer, huh? Not bad."
He turned to see a new girl approaching and gave an awkward grin, raising his hand up in salutation, " 'Lo there."

"Senior. Uh, seventeen, actually," Lyra smiled sheepishly and shrugged slightly. It was somewhat awkward. Luckily Ethan broke the silence as he complimented her music choice, "thank you, um, you like them?" she asked, but then Tari joined them. "Hi, Tari," Lyra greeted her.

"Uhh-- Yeah, just moved in actually." Ethan replied to the new girl. He stood there for a bit before realizing he should probably introduce himself, "My name's Ethan Hawke, I'm a junior here now." Digging his hands out from his pocket he extended one out to the new girl, "Nice to meet you... Tari?" he said in a questioning and cautious tone, hoping he had heard Lyra right when she first said the girl's name.

"Walking out of the building, listening to Weezer," Lyra looked down to her zune and turned it off. She hated that thing, but at least it didn't break every year like her iPod. Lyra looked over back at Ethan, "did you need help finding something?" Lyra asked- he never answered her question. Or maybe he did and she just forgot.

"Oh, actually," Ethan looked down and laughed at himself a little, "I just got here so I'm trying to see the school and scope it out before classes start up but... I'm not exactly sure where to start." He looked up to the two girls holding the map as he flapped against the light breeze. Jeez, I must look helpless right now...

"Oh." Lyra's voice was light, almost airy. He didn't need any help because he was just exploring. Well, Lyra could suggest some places but she couldn't even think of any place to go. The map started to blow across the page, covering the school's layout. Lyra took a corner and held it so Ethan could see. "If you're hungry we could probably go to the dining hall and experience the school food."
