Vergil just watched the two and took note of their skills with awe. There were all sorts of people here and it felt great to not be alone though his powers may not be as direct as theirs. Alastair always told him they'd be second nature if he'd just practice more... maybe being here wasn't going to be as frightening as he initially felt.
The gaze Rhys was giving him was unnerving and the quiver in his voice said so, "Et vorks lyke any othur power..? I du noht know how I vould put et en vords.. exachtly." The onyx beads on his arm gave another unnoticeable constriction.

Like any other power? That's not a clear enough answ--!! Rhys was interrupted mid-thought by a piercing headache. The stone he'd be holding up behind him immediately fell. He'd planned on tossing the rock at the kid to see if his powers would do anything to defend against it, but with how long he'd been up and how much he'd used his powers, the physical and mental strain finally caught up to him. What bad timing... Oh well, only first day
Rhys winced and held his head in slight pain. "Man," he said, "Must be about time for me to go to bed." Sitting down on the edge of the fountain.

Artemis stood there sort of dozing off as she saw Rhys hold his head in pain. SHe pressed ehr lips to a line wondering if Vergil did anything. She didnt understand his power just yet...she would pretty soon however. Artemis walked to Rhys as she sat next to him. She sent a cold chill down his spine on accident. "You should head to bed" She said massing with her ring. That was like her life. No ring no powers.
Artemis rubbed her eyes as she placed a heated hand on his shoulder. she looked t the boy with a small smile.

Vergil approached a little closer though not much from where he had been standing, "Ahre yu ahlright Herr Gerard..?"
He wondered how long these two had slept or if they got enough sleep. Maybe Rhys was hungry and that's why his head was aching, "Havf yu eaten yeht? Aht times eff vohn doez noht eat, yu vill find yurself with pains." The beads on his arm gave him a gentle purr.

Rhys appreciated the warm hand Artemis provided on his shoulder as he got over his power-headache. Yea, a long sleep would be nice.
Vergil approached and asked how Rhys was doing. He appreciated his concern, too. After all, he didn't mean the kid any harm, he just wanted to push his buttons a little bit... Another day, Rhys thought.
"Yea, neither of us have eaten or slept much lately, so... we're just dead tired" replied Rhys with a weak chuckle. "Thanks, though. I'm gonna head up to bed soon, but maybe we'll run into each other again, yeah? Good meeting you, Vergil."
He stood up after a few minutes to start walking towards the dorms with the help of Artemis.
"Well, good ni- well, morning now" he laughed. "I'll see you around, Artemis" giving her another smile before walking off. "Today was a fun day..."

Artemis gave him a light smile taking back her hand. She nodded to him a bit amlost falling over from lack of sleep. "Im alright" She said looking as Vergil came close to him and asked if he was alright. SHe agreed with Rhys about the sleep and eating part. She was pretty tired but...could she sleep now? She shruged at the thought. Artemis stood up making sure Rhys was alright. "Night..morning" She said pressing her lips to a line. She inhaled sitting back down a bit. SHe wondered what it would be like to hear someone in your own mind. An evil smiled appared on her face.
Artemis smiled as she nodded to him. "I will see you around vergil" She curstied as she headed back to houdini hall. "Last night was great" She said to herself.

"Pleazhure tu meet yu tu Herr Gehrard, du sleep vhell, " Vergil gave him a little wave and watched him leave. When the pretty blonde almost fell over he started toward her but kept his place when she snapped to. He bid her a goodbye as well and took a seat at the edge of the fountain like the night before when he was alone. Such strong people to be up on their feet if they hadn't eaten or slept much... His attention went to the glittering fountain for the morning caressed it and made it as beautiful as it was when he first saw it. Dipping his hand within the water was as soothing.. like the sound of water falling, fingers making ripples and disrupting the surface with little patterns.

Aaron walked with Melrose to the fountain. He was quiet for most of the time, nothing on his mind to talk. He didn't want to think of anything lame to say, although Melrose appeared as the kind of girl who would be easily exited about anything. Aaron stopped at the fountain and let out a "hm." "Yeah, the fountain did change," Aaron said to Melrose. "Maybe they cleaned it up?" Aaron wondered to himself. No. It definitely changed. Anyways, his attention went back to Mel. "This, is the uh, fountain," Aaron said, pointing to the fountain.

Melrose nodded, taking in the location known as "The Fountain". "Hm. It's nice. They probably did clean it." She strolled over to it, running her fingers along the rim on the fountain. "It's pretty." She turned back to Aaron, smiling brightly.
"So, do you come here often? Where is the coolest place on campus, you'd say?" She asked, sitting down on the rim.

Aaron furrowed his brows in thought, his eyes away from Mel. His favorite place on campus... come to think of it, Aaron didn't have a favorite place on campus, he didn't have a secret place or hideout. "I don't have a secret- er, favorite place," Aaron said, looking back up at Mel. "I wouldn't be the best person to ask," he said. His hands went back in his pocket and he walked closer to the fountain and Mel. He was probably real boring.

"Oh." Melrose leaned back, swirling her fingers in the fountain water. She flipped through the conversation starter cards in her head. "So when did you start working at Pizza Planet?"
That'll work.
"And more importantly, why?" She laughed, looking up at Aaron and then back to the water. The night was peaceful, almost like at the beach last night. Melrose liked it, she hadn't been to the fountain before. It was tough call on deciding on whether the beach or this was more of her own "favorite place".

Mel asked him a good question. He knew when he was working and he replied, "a week after I moved in," Aaron said. Now he had to think of a reason why. Come to think of it... he had no real reason. "I wanted a job... they were hiring, I got an interview... and I accepted the job offer," Aaron replied with his small story. It wasn't a career, nothing permanent but it would do, especially considering how hard it was to get a job these days. "How about you, Melrose?" Aaron asked, sitting on the edge of the fountain.

She looked over at him, now sitting next to her. She paused for a moment, to just take in the atmosphere. "It was kind of a silly reason at first." She continued swirling her fingers in the fountain, "I wanted this pair of black heels really badly. They were on sale too. 40% off." She tried to get to the point so she wasn't bothering Aaron with girl talk. "The point is I had no money. So I thought I try a job and there were no other offers."
She turned back to Aaron, shaking her hand over the fountain to get the water off. "Then it became a task of being true to myself. This job is utterly out of my comfort zone and I so wanted to just quit. But I hate to quit. You gotta finish the race, you know? In it to win it. Besides, I couldn't call home for money. I hate being a burden."
Melrose looked up at the stars.

"That is... respectable," Aaron said. Maybe respectable wasn't the right word, but it showed a lot about Melrose's character. She didn't beg for money or ask to borrow. Instead she was working for something she wanted on her own. But then Melrose talked about her second reason, maybe a more... true one? Aaron nodded slowly. "That's cool," Aaron smiled, "I'm sure some people would quit if it was out of their comfort zone. I'm glad you are staying," he said, "it's fun working with you."

Melrose blushed. "Really?" It was fun to work with her? He considered her "respectable"? Geez. Melrose was liking this Aaron guy.
"Geez. Thanks Aaron. You're very respectable, yourself. I mean you work so hard and you're helpful." She gave him a nudge and a smile. "Like I said before, you're a lifesaver. My Superman. I couldn't have done it without you and I too enjoy working with you."
Wow, Melrose. Deep.
