"Um, thanks," Aaron flashed a smile. He started to blush when Mel complimented him more. Him? A life saver? He Superman? He.... nobody, nobody has ever said such kind words to him. A cheesy grin on Aaron's face, He back as if he was cool and completely forgot there was nothing to prevent him from falling. It was too late. There he fell, pulling a Melrose, into the fountain. He splashed into the cold water, his legs poking out of the sides, water drenched his shirt, lap, and pants. Smooth Aaron. Smooth.

"Aaron!" Deja vu, much? Melrose hopped up from her seat on the edge of the fountain, urgently bending over the rim to grab her friend from out of the water. She reached her arms in, the water was freezing, and grabbed Aaron's hands to lift him out. Though Melrose was not nearly as strong as she had hoped she'd be.
Pulling with all her might and then releasing her pull, Melrose slipped on yet another puddle. And what do ya know?
Melrose joined Aaron in the fountain. Her red dress getting soaked as well as her black flats. Oh crud. Her mother was going to kill her.

The water pouring out was landing on Aaron's face. He was spitting out water and his body weight wouldn't allow Mel to pull himself out. He tried but Mel fell in the fountain with him. He looked over to the side as water poured over Mel's face and head. Aaron was going to ask if she was okay, he really was but instead he busted into laughter at her clumsiness.

Melrose spit out the water that had gushed into her mouth. Her mother's senses back in New York must of been tingling. She'd probably be at Oceanside by morning to beat the crud out of her daughter for wrecking her birthday present dress. Melrose whipped her head over at Aaron. Why was she so clumsy? How embarrassing. But instead he was laughing and suddenly, Melrose didn't feel so embarrassed or humiliated. She started bursting out in laughter and laughed along with Aaron.

After laughing for a good few minutes. It was time to get out of the fountain. It was getting nippy and cold. He pushed himself off of the bottom, trying not to hit his head on the bottom tier and he got out of the fountain. Aaron was drenched. He reached over and helped Melrose out of the fountain. He shivered in the cold. He grinned at her, "that was uh, unfortunate," he said with a small laugh... it was funny. He couldn't stop laughing.

Melrose grabbed Aaron's hand and pushed herself out of the ice cold water. "Unfortunate, indeed." she stifled between laughs, "My mother would kill me if she saw my dress." Melrose looked down as her dripping red sundress. It was a nice outfit too. She loved to wear it.
A breeze drifted by, Melrose shivered. It was one thing to be in a spaghetti-strapped sundress in the cold night, but to be wet too? Geez.
"I think I'm going to freeze to death first though."

"You can dry it- don't worry," Aaron would suggest her to run around until she was dry, but he didn't want her to catch a cold. "Let's go back to the hall and change," Aaron said. He put a hand on Mel's back and led the way to the Hercules hall. He didn't want to stay in the cold for too long.

Melrose smiled and had Aaron lead her to the dorms. "Good idea. I wouldn't want either one of us to get sick right before school." That would of really been terrible, getting sick on the last few days of summer? Lame. "Or worse! You have a sick day out from work." Melrose jested, nudging Aaron. She nudged him all the time no when joking, it had become a thing for her.
The two of them headed back to the dorm in silence and shivers.

Vergil was curled up at the edge of the fountain, sitting sideways so his feet were in front of him and his forehead rested on his knees. He looked like he was resting and he was but he didn't simply have his eyes shut, he was really asleep. The beads on his arm were alert since they were out but Vergil was out and in midst of a dream; he sighed in his sleep and turned to rest his cheek on his knees with his arms going to wrap around his legs tightly.. then he was still again.

Vergil was startled out of his sleep by the feeling of falling to find himself sprawled on the ground with his legs up on the fountain ledge. He awkwardly rolled to the side to get onto his knees and stumbled up, dusting himself off groggily. He had been having the most fantastic nap and that had to go and ruin it. Looking around, he found it to be... fairly past late so he took out his phone to check the time and it was indeed very early into tomorrow. There was an inner debate on whether to go to the dorms and sleep or wander but he wasn't feeling sleepy any longer so wandering won that argument easily; curiosity led his fingers to text Toshie to see if she was up.

Artemis limped over to the fountain. She quickly took a seat looking at her red bandages that needed to be changed. She sighed dipping her hand in the cold water letting it drip down her leg. A hiss left her lips as she closed her eyes.

After last night's exciting activities and using so much of his powers in the short amount of time that he did, Rhys collapsed from exhaustion and was taken up to his room by Tari, though he doesn't remember. Having woken up finally, he decided to go down to the fountain to think.
As he approached the fountain, he saw that both Artemis and Vergil were there.
"Hey," he greeted Artemis as he walked closer, giving a wave of his arm while rubbing his eyes with his free hand. "How are you? How's the leg?"

Artemis inhaled looking up to the night sky. She leaned back thinking to herself and about the things that happened. Everyone seemed fine after last night...she was the only one really injured. "Cuz your stupid" She whispered to herself. Artemis turned to see Rhys now coming over to her.Crap did he hear me? ugh...I hope he is ok.
Thoughts ran in her head as she waved back. "My leg? Its good" She said Lie..thats a lie lie lie. She thought again to herself. "How are you?"

Artemis was about to walk over towards Rhys when he became silent. "Rhys?" She called. She walked over to him only to catch him. "Did he just faint?"She asked her self looking around. She cried in pain holding him up. "God.." She called holding him up. She only hoped that she could levitate him and walk him to his room.
Artemis closed her eyes using a large gust of wind to gently pick him up. She stumbled but cought her self as she stood up walking over to Rhys hall to his room. She spoke softly to him all the way up there. "Its ok Rhys. Sleep tight were almost there" She smiled yet almost wasnt able to make it to his room.

Melrose slouched on the rim on the fountain, feeling completely and utterly hopeless. Even the daylight seemed dark and dreary. Geez, is this was depression feels like?
Dipping her fingers into the freezing fountain water, Melrose attempted to clear her worries and stress. It didn't seem to be working though. Her bandaged knuckles on both of her hands were started to turn red from the blood. It would be the second time today she'd have to change them. Why won't they stop bleeding?
So, last night was probably one of the worst nights of Melrose's life. And the worst part was she could have prevented it. If she was just there with her cousin, Miles, back in New York. If only she had been were she was supposed to be, maybe things wouldn't be the way they are now.
Forget about it. It was far too of a confusing contempt to tinker with now. Melrose had taken a day off from work at Pizza Planet to clear her thoughts and that was exactly what she was going to do. Clear her thoughts. And the fountain is one of her favorite places on campus, so why not here or all places?
