Cora had woken up early this morning to work on her homework. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and slipped on jeans and a baggy sweatshirt before grabbing her things along with a piece of toast and making her way down to the library.
Cora heaved open the door of the library, smiling at the librarian. "Hello," she said softly and set her things down at one of the large tables. She spread the things out, glancing longingly at Jane Eyre, yet turned on her laptop, logged on, and began typing up her History of the Gifted report.
