"I think an earthquake is happening every time I go to my dorm room," Lyra said with a shurg, her arms on the table after sitting down. It didn't sound silly, maybe it really did happen. "It kind of sounds silly... well, it sounds really silly," Lyra flashed another smile. "So um, what are you drinking?" Lyra asked, figuring he was drinking coffee, hence, at a coffee shop. At least he wasn't one of those guys who got fruity iced coffee drinks like a hipster.

"Eh, just a black coffee. That fruity stuff isn't my kinda deal." He took a small sip from it again, it was still hot and he didn't want to burn his tongue or anything. "So how's StuCo going along? You the coffee lackey?" Ethan smiled as he looked at Lyra.

"Glad to know you aren't a hipster when it comes to coffee. I don't want to catch any diseases," Lyra somewhat joked, but she really didn't want to become a hipster. "Derek and I are going through applications," Lyra said, eying the coffee bags. "Ugh yes," she groaned, "I'm not making his coffee though. I'm still an upperclassmen, that rules out his presidency," Lyra said, feeling as if she was going to take a sip of coffee, but she had none. "I want to punch a lot of applicants in the face though, saying that they should be on StuCo because they are awesome. Shit's lame."

He shook his head in disappointment about the applicants, "Yeah, if they really want the position then they should at least take the application seriously, right?" Ethan downed the rest of his coffee, having just sipped at it the entire time Lyra was talking. "Have you figured out a theme for homecoming yet?" he was curious, since he was the one to make the theme work. There would be a lot of research going down to make it just right.

"I think they should. Oh well, I think they just applied because Derek and I have been pushing people to apply, well, I have so they might be half-assing it," Lyra shrugged and looked around the coffee shop. It was a lot cooler in here than outside. "I think we are going to wait for the officers to be elected before deciding on a theme," Lyra said to Ethan, her direction back at him. "You'd be up for anything, right? I mean... you are the one in charge of props."

Nefertari walked in and waved to the group as she broke off and headed towards the coffee shop. She kept pressing the crosswalk button waiting for the red hand to go away, after an eternity she finally was able to cross the street and enter the coffee shop.
The girl at the counter looked up from her magazine and smiled, Tari walked up and got her usual. It had been far too long since she had been here, the smell of coffee mixed with the quiet conversations filled her with a sense of peace. She sat down at a table by the window and looked out at the pier. The Pacific looked so pretty, reflecting the lights of the city.
The girl came over with her coffee and Tari thanked her, she took a sip and turned back to the window, lost in thought.
