Ugh! Today was so boring! That was Sunglee's thoughts. He was so bored! He'd had an episode early that morning and so he wasn't able to go to his classes. But he was feeling better now. Only...he had nothing to do. He was sprawled out across his bed with his arms dangling over the edge and his cheek squished against the blanketed mattress, eyes on the digital alarm clock sitting on his desk. Oh, another agonizing minute went past. UGH! He spazzed out all over his bed, flailing around then stilling now on his back staring up at the ceiling. Evening was rolling around, and he just couldn't stand to stay cooped up in this dorm room. What could he do? Maybe...go down to the common room? No, all he'd do there would be the same as what he'd been doing here. Lay there with nothing to do. Maybe he could work on some homework? HA! That did NOT sound entertaining at all. Read maybe? He didn't have any books in his room he hadn't read several times already. Maybe just...just....GAH! He pushed his body forward to slide off the edge of the bed until he could touch his hands to the floor and did a tumbly flip off the bed to sit on his butt on the floor. He looked over at the clock again and filled his cheeks with air, moving it from one cheek to the other a few times. He wanted...something outside...yeah. He was an outside kind of person. Plenty of space to run around and play and to crazy things that needed wide open spaces to be performed. Hmm...at least...a walk maybe? He really didn't feel like staying on campus though. Nyahhhhh maybe he'd ride into town and see what he could find there! Yeah that sounded like an excellent idea! He jumped up and stripped off his comfy clothes and got dressed, grabbed his wallet, phone, and keys, and left to go out to his lovely lovely motorcycle. He'd found a place to park, and just walked around for a while, checking out different places until he past by a salon. Hmm...There was something interesting! He went in, and came out a little while like with newly styled, and lighter coloured hair. It made him smile, having a new hair cut. He wondered what people were going to say. Especially since it was so much lighter. Lyra might be a little shocked. It didn't often dye his hair. Just got it cut. Oh! What was Daphne going to say!? Would she like it? Or would she hate it? He hoped the first one. He liked it after all. He thought it suited him rather well. Made him look a little more mature, or older or something. And in his opinion, bad ass. He started walking back to his motorcycle. What was he to do now? He really didn't feel like doing back to the school just yet. He looked to the sky. Yep, it was evening, and the sun was beginning to set. Ooo! That would be nice to watch! and there was one place in particular he was interested in going to watch it! He rushed back to his bike quickly and hopped on, pulling on the matching blue helmet and starting her up to take off, and soon enough he came to the pier. It really hadn't been that far. He parked, took off his helmet, hooked it to his bike and left it to wander down to the pier. The sky was beautiful, and with the rest of the scenery...man he wished he'd brought his camera. He would of if he'd known he'd end up here. Ehh. He'd come back again with the purposes of taking pictures. Well, he supposed he could use his phone, but his camera was just so much better! He walked down the pier about half way of the long wooden pier and stopped to move to the railing, folding his arms to lean on it and stare out. The light wind made his new hair dance around slightly, but it felt nice. He smiled a little, just taking in the sight. It was all so breathtaking. He noticed couples walk by every so often, just from the corner of his eye. They all looked so happy and cute, holding hands, whispering and giggling to each other, smiling and perhaps even blushing every so often. It made him smile, because he knew, that he had that too. Daphne may not have been there with him now but, just the thought of knowing she was his, and he was hers, made him smile as though she was right there, next to him. He'd have to bring her here sometime. Maybe on a date. That would be nice, and romantic. Yeah.

Daphne had been rather bored most of the day. Her classes were just.. bleh. They always were. She already knew most everything in them. It was very rare for her to encounter something in her classes that she hadn't known before, so.. she tended to sleep. Her teachers hated that. But.. she didn't really care. She had perfect grades in every class. It was hard not to with her brains. Classes were like.. well, exercising in the morning. They were a breeze for her. A warm up. They weren't any sort of challenge, they just were. The only time she had fun with anything was when she was working on things in her dorm. Electronics mostly. Computer things. And that was how she ended up in town. She'd needed more sautering wire for the motherboard she was building. After changing into something a little more comfortable she'd grabbed her car keys to head out. She gotten the wiring easy enough, it wasn't hard to find. Not like some of the stuff she had to track down. But once she'd gotten it she hadn't felt like going back to the school. She'd ended up on Mission avenue, walking around and eventually getting to the pier. The sun had set by now, but it was still very pretty. She tucked her hands into the pockets of her jacket and sighed lightly, walking along. She'd made it about half way along before her phone started buzzing in her pocket. She pulled it out, eyes rolling slightly at the name on the caller ID. But still, she answered the call and held the phone to her ear. "Hi Mom," She said, a little quietly. She sat down onto a bench in the middle of the pier, staring out. She pursed her lips a little, looking down into her lap. "No, I don't want to talk. Do I ever? I don't know why you bother anymore," She sounded a little irritated, and definitely not like she wanted to talk at all. "Can you just stop, Mom? I don't want to talk. Just leave me alone. You already sent me across the country. I think I got the idea," Her voice was bitter now, and she quickly ended the call, stuffing the phone back into her pocket with a light huff. So much for a nice night.

Sunglee sighed lightly as he watched the colours in the sky slowly change, getting darker and darker until the sun was long gone beneath the horizon and the sky was a midnight blue, and growing ever darker. That blanket of intensely dark blue began to speckle more and more with with twinkling stars, just capable of sight around the dim manilla coloured lights of the pier. He couldn't help but wish to be somewhere outside of the city, or hope that all the city lights would just suddenly go out for a while. The sky would be even more riddled with stars capable of sight. He enjoyed staring up at the sky in the evening time. Who didn't? It was beautiful. He wanted to reach out and just pluck a star from the sky, and hold it in his hands like a firefly. He'd release it back to the sky after, of course. But it would be just so magical, though he knew possible, to just hold one for a few moments, up close so its shine would wash its glow over his face. Yes very much like a firefly. It would be like being a child again. That innocent curiosity. Well, he was still always so curious, though, much less innocent. The thoughts he had at times, such naughty thoughts, sort of threw innocence right out the window, didn't it? Less and less people were passing by now. Probably already making it to wherever they were headed, or leaving from their destination to return back to their warm and comfortable homes. The the small amounts of people that were around, their thoughts were reaching him. Sunglee wasn't meaning to read the thoughts of those passing by, but he really didn't have much control over his abilities. He could suppress his telekinesis and image projection decently well, but it was exhausting to try and suppress all of them all the time, and sometimes they just slipped from his control like they were all their own. Most of the thoughts around him, were very loving and intimate, as most people were coupled, but there was one particular voice in his head that stood out. He knew this voice, and it seemed rather upset to him. He straightened up right away and started looking around. It didn't take long to spot the redhead not that far away on a bench, with her phone pressed to her ear and a very unhappy look on her face. Her thoughts seemed to read mother. Was she talking to her mother? Sunglee shook his head, then closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was forcing his telepathy to calm down and 'sleep' as he called it. Once relaxed he looked up again, a slight headache throbbing but it wasn't one he couldn't ignore. Daphne was no longer on her phone, but sat there looking relatively upset. Well he wasn't going to just stand here! His feet began to move across the boarding of the pier until he made it to her side. "Daphne?" He spoke her name before sitting down next to her. "Are you alright?" He really hadn't expected to see her here of all places without him previously inviting her. She seemed like a bit of a hermit. But...maybe she was meeting some friends or something? Sunglee had to admit he really didn't know all that much about Daphne at all. He scorned himself for that. He should have been making more of an effort to get to know her beforehand. Well, no matter. They had all the time in the world...right? He placed an arm around her shoulders and with his torso turned towards her, he placed his other hand on her leg. It seemed like a natural, comforting embrace. Would it be okay? He knew some people were a little edgy about having hands placed on their legs. He hoped she'd be fine with it. "Is everything okay?" He wanted her to confide in him. He was, after all, her boyfriend...sorta...person...thing. He didn't know. They hadn't actually officially stated it. He liked to think he was her boyfriend. No...he liked to believe that. He also liked to believe, that she considered herself his girlfriend. Maybe...they didn't have to officially state it. If they both thought that way, then it was just fine. It didn't need to be said.

After the initial few moments of anger had worn off of her, Daphne was a little.. well, depressed. Her parents tended to have that effect on her. She'd sort of spaced out, brown eyes lost in some unfocused picture that she wasn't paying attention to. She was just.. thinking. She never liked thinking about her parents. It usually just either irked or depressed her. Since she'd already gone through the irked part now she just.. sort of wanted to go and curl up in bed until she fell asleep. She didn't hate her parents, she just didn't understand them. To her, they sent her here out of fear. She didn't mind the school or the people, she kind of liked it here. Even if she didn't fit in. In two years the only friend she'd managed to make was Sunglee. And Derek, sort of. But he'd disappeared now. She hadn't heard from him since before Homecoming. And that was just.. ugh. It gave her a headache.
The redhead sighed heavily, leaning forward to prop her elbows onto her knees and hide her face in her hands. She really wanted to stop thinking about her parents. It was about that moment that she heard her name, from a very familiar voice. Her head popped up as Sunglee sat down beside her. She smiled weakly, looking to him for a moment and then back down to her hands. When he put his arm around her she sat back a little, turning into him and laying her head onto his shoulder. She moved her legs over his, her knees barely reaching the edge of his far thigh to let the rest of her legs hang over. Her face cuddled into his shoulder a little before she said anything, at which point she lifted her head just enough to look up to him. "No, but you're here now. You can be my distraction," Daphne said, smiling a little weakly. She didn't mind his hand on her leg at all. It felt natural with how they were sitting. And she sort of liked it. It was comforting.
Her head tilted down again and her eyes closed slowly with a sigh. She nuzzled his shoulder a little, just staying that way. Close to him. It was comforting to have him there. Even if she didn't know why he was there at all. He didn't know why she was there either though, so it didn't matter much to her. He was there. That was what mattered.

Yeah. There was someone really bothering Daphne. Sunglee didn't like that. The way she smiled...it wasn't normal. It wasn't the normal her. What could he do for her? He wanted to be able to do something. However, when she leaned onto his shoulder, and moved to have her legs lay over his lap, his thoughts seemed to calm. He pressed his lips to her head just slightly, giving her a little squeeze while gently rubbing her leg a little. It was a sort of reassurance for him, that she was actually there, and hopefully, looking to him for support. Sunglee felt he was very naive when it came to relationships, but he had his own clues and ideas on how they went. He was meant to be supportive whenever she needed and then some.
She confirmed what he was concerned about. She was upset over something. He nuzzled the side of her head, then let it stay there, gently leaning. "I'll be your distraction. And I'll take that as you don't want to talk about it." He murmured to her. "But...I'm here if you ever feel like you do want to talk about it. About anything." He told her. He wantede her to feel comfortable about telling him the things she probably wouldn't tell others.
He selfishly had to admit that despite the fact that she was upset, he was happy to see her, and to have her here. They needed to spend more time together. Without really realizing it, he leaned his face in and pressed his lips to her temple, then moved to press to the flesh a little lower, until soon enough he was kissing her lips, the hand that was on her leg coming up to caress her cheek with the backs of fingers. He liked how every time he kissed her it sent little electrifying shivers all over his body. And, he was trying not to let his dirty mind take over his thoughts. Be a good boy, Sunglee! A good boy!
After a moment he pulled away and held onto her tightly, moving her a little to have her more sitting on his lap than simply having her legs over it. He smiled to her. A nice, bright, cheery smile. Hopefully it would be contagious enough to perk up her spirits. "So," He started, tilting his head a little. "I'm a little surprised to see you down here." He was rubbing her back just gently. "I'm not keeping you from anything, am I?"

Having some there, having him there helped more than anything would. Her usual remedy for this mood was video games and blowing stuff up. Maybe killing some aliens. If that didn't work then she would just sleep it off. But.. having Sunglee there.. she was already starting to feel a little better. He'd kissed the top of her head and she smiled a little, eyes still closed. But she liked the way he was rubbing her leg and holding her. It was strange, just how comforting she found it. No one had ever really been this way with her before. It was.. nice.
When he agreed to be her distraction Daphne leaned up a little, turning her head just slightly to nuzzle him in return. Good. She needed a distraction right now, rather desperately. And it was him.. so that made it that much better. He would surely prove to be more of a distraction than anything she could come up with. Talking about it.. nyeh. That was not really appealing. But he at least deserved to know a little about why she was upset. He was probably worried. "It's not.. " She started, opening her eyes and pursing her lips a little. "It's not really anything to talk about about. Talking won't help anything but remind me of it. It's not going to change anything, so for me.. it's easier to just not think about it anymore," She explained, looking up to him to smile a little. "But it's nice to know your there if I need to."
Daphne returned her head to his shoulder, just as he leaned in to kiss her forehead. Her eyes had closed again, and she smiled a little at the sensation his lips on her flesh brought on. Light shivers.. all over. Especially when their lips met. That was.. more than a distraction than she could ever hope for. All her thoughts of her parents melted away in those brief moments. Those perfect little moments with his hand on her cheek and everything. Soon enough though, he pulled away from her and moved her into his lap a little more with a big smile. She couldn't help but smile a little back at him and cuddle right against him.
At the sound of his voice again she looked up, finding the way he tilted his head to be rather adorable. So.. cute. He was cute. He was always cute. "Oh.. I was getting some computer stuff. I just.. didn't feel like going back to the school after. So I wandered around until I came here and my mom called me," The redhead explained, laying her head back against him. "So, you're not keeping me from anything. I was just wandering."

Sunglee gladly accepted the nuzzling Daphne offered him in return. He couldn't help, for a moment, letting his eyes close while he inhaled slowly. She smelled so nice. Wait...was that creepy? Oh...but it was so nice! It was sweet and gentle. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not the furry kind of fuzzy, though. That would just be weird. Regardless, that scent...her smell...it was so perfect for her. Sunglee was in a happy daze because of it. He could stay dazed out like this forever. He wanted her smell all over his dormitory room. He bet it would lull him into a dreamy sleep faster than anything else. Oh wait! Snuggling up to her would lull him to sleep faster than anything else. Yeah. He could just imagine it. All cuddled up together under a warm duvet, holding her close, feeling her warmth, smelling her lovely scent. She'd probably wear pajamas that were both cute and dorky at the same time. The thought made his chest jump inside with giddiness.
He wasn't going to say anything more on the touchy subject she wanted to forget about. It was just as he figured though. It had to do with her mother calling. He hoped that one day she's explain the issue to him, and let him confort her like she deserved. For now though, he was just going to continue on with the night as if that section had been cut out and tossed away; forgotten. He held her a little tighter, letting his body heat pass from himself to her. It was night now, and it was getting cooler as the minutes ticked by. His eyes turned to the night sky for a moment. He loved that view. He wondered if they'd get in trouble for staying out too long. It didn't seem like they'd be leaving any time soon. Despite the fact it was cold. He rubbed his hands and arms against her, warming them both up. Maybe he was feeling the cold more than she was? It was possible, but it was nice to have her where she was, she was keeping his lap and most of his torso warm. All warm and snuggly. It was a joyful feeling.
Sunglee quite feel the relief from the light worry he had when she explained that he wasn't keeping her from anything. She'd just been in town to get parts for computer things. She was so smart! He wondered if she'd be able to teach him some things about computers and video games and whatnot. If she'd be willing. He'd enjoy learning with her as his teacher. "Well, it seemed we had the same idea then." He smiled down to her with a gentle expression. "I was in town to randomly change my hair out of boredom and after I decided to find some place to wander around and enjoy the view. That's how I ended up here." He didn't think she'd noticed his hair yet. Or at least she had yet to say anything. But that was okay. He didn't expect her to notice every little change he made to himself. That would be silly and unrealistic at this point. They hadn't been a couple all that long yet. Without much of a warning he stood up suddenly, holding her in his arms to walk over to the railing before he set her down on her feet to face out towards the water. He stayed standing behind her with his arms around her to brace his forearms, crossing each other, on the railing.
"The view is wonderful, isn't it? I wish I'd brought my camera with me." He spoke to her with his face down close to her ear, then turned to nuzzle his face agaisnt the side of her head. Her hair was so soft, and his tickled his cheeks in a light, peaceful sort of way. "I'd...like to bring you back here again, formally, to watch the sunset. Along with my camera." He didn't have any photos of them together after all. He'd enjoy having at least one. Perhaps one he could keep in his wallet. One he could take out and look at whenever he wanted, no matter where he was. He kept his face hidden against her hair, just soaking in the moment. "Would you let me?" Maybe it was a strange way to ask her on a date, but that's precisely what he was doing. He'd take her somewhere for dinner maybe, then come here to watch the sunset. It sounded like an evening of heaven to him. Yeah.
