So here Joni was, exploring as she had planned, just minding her own business, when suddenly, BAM! She found herself outside. How in the hell she found herself outside was beside her knowledge. "Hm," she said, folding up the map in her hand before stuffing it in her back pocket. "Well, Joni, you still cease to surprise yourself, that's one good thing about ya." Scratching at her head, she shrugged and placed her hands on her hips. Her cheeks were puffed out, filling them with air until she let it out slowly, giving a bit of a whistling sound. "...Yup." Suddenly, an entertaining though ran through her head. With a wide, almost face splitting grin, she walked toward the start of the track, taking note of the curves as she took her stance.
She had been working on something with her mother when she had spent time with her. You see, with her air manipulation ability, she figured she couldn't do much but knock someone off their feet if they started talking smack. BUT! BEHOLD! She could do much more. Taking a deep breath in then letting it slowly out, she pushed the air around her until she was floating. It was as if she was flying... sort of. More like some serious hovering. "Totally. Wicked." she found herself saying, the same wide grin plastered on her face. With a sudden push, she was floating around the track, letting herself be taken by the air as she manipulated it.

It was after class and Lyra felt rather groggy. She was exhausted but her body yearned for a work out. It was a while since Lyra's last spar with Tobias and the laziness in her body was killing her and Lyra needed to end it. She walked out to the track field wearing her work out gear. There was a slight wind and Oceanside wasn't the warmest but Lyra's body would naturally heat up. She bent down to stretch her legs before starting to jog around the track field. Lyra hated running. It seemed never ending. Maybe it would be more enjoyable if she had Melrose's power to spring around as if it was no big deal (not to mention get math homework done quickly) and enjoyable. Man... to trade powers for a day.
Lyra preferred sparring to running. At least with sparring she had interaction. Except whatever was going on with Tobias was scaring her. Out at night, locked in his room... something wasn't right. Lyra kept a steady pace as she thought about the emotional state of her best friend. Maybe she needed to talk to him.
Some other students were on the field practicing with their powers or playing football or running through a mini obstacle course. Lyra stayed on the outside of the field and ran on the pavement. She decided to sprint once in a while and then go back to jogging. Her pony tail swished back and forth as she ran and Lyra wished she brought her water bottle with her.
