"Of course," Aaron repeated his original statement somewhat, since he was agreeing to Melrose's agreement of Aaron's original statement. He stared at her hair. Hair that was over her ear. Hair that Aaron could easily brush away. Mel's hair looked soft. His hand slowly raised above his lap, but it went back down. No. Maybe that was too soon. Aaron looked around the common room, "so miss prefect," Aaron looked back at Mel, "there are kids using their powers... and they don't look like they belong here," Aaron's head motioned to the Manipulation kids. "How about you take care of them before we continue on with tonights conversation?" Aaron asked. Oh he hoped he didn't embarrass her. He just didn't want her getting in trouble for not doing her job.

Artemis became silent looking around. She inhaled a bit relaxing on the arm of the couch. "Well this is fun" She said sarcastically. Her eyes scanning over to dereks slightly then lias.

Derek laughed softly at Lia, and said, "Don't worry there is a first for everything." Looking around he noticed one of the boys motioning to one of the older students their existence, and he figured showing their powers probably wasn't the best idea.
"Looks like we might have to get out of here before we get in trouble", he said as he got up and moved to the panel. With a wave, he motioned to Lia, "Maybe we should hang out sometime?" Then Derek winked, and slid into the middle.

SWEET MOTHER OF- She's a freaking prefect. There are manipulators manipulating in the physical hall. And she's a freaking prefect.
"I- ah- oh my god." Melrose shot up from the couch, feeling like such a ditz. And in front of Aaron? Geez!!!
She stomped her way over to the group of manipulators, feeling like a jerk for ruining their party while at the same time feeling like an idiot for not doing it sooner. Melrose cleared her throat.
"Um, heeeey. I'm pretty sure it's past curfew hours for manipulators to be in physical division common room." She felt like an idiot. Such an idiot. "Melrose the Idiot." It could be a freaking comic strip.
"I don't want to deduct points from your house, so if you could just book it out of here real quick, I won't say anything." It sounded fair, right? It was Melrose's first time calling someone out on something.

Anyway I think its alittle late to flirt as well dont cha think: She said sarcastically before leaving to the middle room back out to houdini common room. "Night Lia see ya around" She wasnt trying to be mean to mel...it was just her...

Aaron shook his head at Melrose, playfully of course. She was adorable, trying to act tough, well, she wasn't.. She was being her sweet self, giving warning to the students. Mel wouldn't be a bad prefect. Mel was too kind-hearted and soft to be mean. Well, that's what he thought at least. He couldn't see Mel angry or rude. If a student tried to run away from her in any case, she would catch up to them in a blink of an eye. Oh Mel. Such an adorable girl.
"You did good," Aaron compliment Melrose's work. "They left without questioning after all," Aaron said. He gave her a thumbs up in approval.

Melrose straightened her back as the whole lot of manipulators took their exit.
Flirting? She wasn't flirting! Wait, was she? Was she flirting with Aaron? Okay, maybe she was. It's not like she could help it. Melrose had no idea where this sudden infatuation for him came from. It just came, alright? Sheesh.
Her attention turned back to Aaron on the couch. Melrose felt like a total and utter ditz. If that wasn't embarrassing, she didn't know what was.
"Look, thanks for telling me. I didn't even notice them here."
How could she have not noticed? "Melrose the Idiot."
"I'm sorry. I should focus on my responsibilities more often." She rubbed the back of her neck nervously.

Aaron frowned. Poor Mel, she felt bad. "No, no don't think like that," he put a hand on her shoulder and smiled, as if to say everything would be alright. "I'm sure they appreciate that you didn't notice, besides, I only informed you so you wouldn't get in trouble," Aaron said. He said this to make her feel better. Hopefully he wouldn't make things worse. "It's only the first week and your first time as prefect. You'll get used to it," Aaron said, hoping to reassure Mel.

Melrose looked up at Aaron, feeling a wave of protection and reassurance. He really was attempting to make her feel better and frankly it was kind of sweet to watch him try. She smiled weakly at Aaron to show it worked.
"Thanks, Superman." It was all she could think of replying with, "You've saved me again."
And then she hugged him. For the first time too. It was rather spontaneous of her, but the timing seemed reasonable. She felt comfortable enough around Aaron that hopefully he'd be comfortable all the same with it too.

Superman? Aaron perked up at the name, showing interest, as if Melrose would go on explaining the name choice. Superman, huh? Did Aaron really deserve such a... heroic title of Superman? Was he really that great? He enjoyed the sound of it. He liked the sound, especially coming from Melrose. He'd save her from anything, if he could. If a plane were to crash onto Melrose, he'd hold the airplane, grab it by the nose and allowing Mel to escape... although with Melrose's power, she'd probably zoom away before it would even hit her.
And then she hugged him. Aaron smiled, his arms wrapping around her and he squeezed her lightly. Sneaking in a whiff of her hair. Strawberries. Aaron rubbed her back with a hand- was that okay? The hug was nice. Rubbing backs was nice right? Crap. He probably looked like a freak. He stopped with the rubbing. "It's nothing, really..." he never saved Melrose. She did all the work.

She looked up mid hug, her arms still around Aaron. His chest was as hard as rock. A man of steel. But Melrose didn't mind. She could stay like this for as long as he wanted. She felt safe around Aaron.
"No but it is."
She pulled herself close to him again, because she couldn't really pull him close, I mean Aaron was built with stone. Looking over his shoulder, she realized how late it was. Geez. It was really late. Too late. She had school tomorrow and heck, so did Aaron.
Melrose looked back up at him, grinning, preparing how to exactly make her exit.
"It's late, champ. I got to jet. I'll see around okay? And if not sooner, then Saturday, right?" Her face was so close to his. Melrose's heart pounded in her chest. She felt so confident all of a sudden. Well, the asking to the party and hug moves were pretty risky in themselves, but Melrose felt especially confident suddenly. She felt like Supergirl.
"Goodnight."
She wanted to do something witty or creative to compliment her exit. There wasn't much to say. What to do? Then all of a sudden she leaned up on the balls of her feet and pushed her face against his. It was terrifying yet exhilarating all at once. Melrose wanted to take it back immediately, but it was too late. She couldn't let fear get the best of her.
Melrose kissed Aaron on the cheek goodnight. And then it was like she disappeared in a blink of an eye. She ran to her room faster than she ever had ran before. She even set a new record.

Lia sprawled out on the big, grey couch in the room. Resting on her elbows, she was texting away, hoping to find someone to hang out with this evening. Lia sighed as she put her phone down; she really wanted an answer. Waiting for a reply, Lia turned on the tv. She starting watching Jeopardy and was trying to call out the answers before the contestants. I am so cool, Lia thought to herself.

Anna's aunt Josephine dropped her back at the school after their family business had been taken care of. She was fairly sure no one was at the grounds anymore, so she walked into the Hercules common room. The TV was on and a girl was sitting on the couch, watching Jeopardy. She walked over to the arm of the couch, answering one of the questions.
"Hmm... who is Hercules?"

Lia turned towards the new voice, not answering thw question herself. She gave the girl a small clap when it turned out to be right. "You know your greek mythology, huh?" Lia asked, seeing as that was what the question was about.
